Diving Addiction Resort
5/51 Reviews
The most cost-effective and comfortable hotel in Bohol, highly recommended! 1. Location: Near Dumaluan Beach, about 5-8 minutes by motorcycle from Alona Beach, very quiet. (Dumaluan is much prettier than Alona...and living in Alona is very noisy). There are shared battery cars at the entrance of the hotel, and you can also rent motorcycles directly from the hotel, which is very convenient. 2. Hotel restaurant: It’s a Thai restaurant, which is okay. There are also Korean restaurants, 711 (under renovation), massage, etc. about 800m away from the hotel. 3. Facilities and health services: New hotel, large rooms, with swimming pool, very good at this price, and nice waiters are responsive to all requests. 4. The boss is Chinese and is very communicative.
Panglao Chocolate Hills Resort

The place nice, relaxed and quiet. They have a nice vegan restaurant. The pool looks great but you wont need it, the place us literally 5 min walking distance away from the beach. The only thing that was a bit annoying was electrical outlet. It was a scavenger hunt to find them. They are there just in weird places that aren't very convenient. The staff is great and helpful, can help you find anything you need. Told us about a great viewing point (free and no people) for chocolate hills, 100℅ would recommend. They helped us rent bikes in the middle of the night.
Villa Umi Panglao Resort
4.4/526 Reviews
Staff are very helpful and friendly, clean and spacious rooms, very good food in their restaurant. The hotel has only 9 rooms, very quiet so you can relax and be away from the crowds, and it's like having your own private beach with white sand. The only negative is they do not have an access road to the hotel so you walk by the beach sand but staff will help carry your luggage.
Bohol Dreamcatcher Resort
4.3/50 Reviews
1. Breakfast is optional 2. Suitable for children, there is a big slide down from the 2nd floor 3. The cheapest room set, the beds are very small, 1.5 meters 4. A la carte lunch is also good 5. The swimming pool is small, but children love it 6. Remote location 7. The fireflies booked from this homestay are not a lot of people's itinerary, it is a chartered boat rarely visited by people to watch the fireflies itinerary, and chartered day trips are also scheduled here. Not bad. 8. The Filipino restaurant recommended by the boss is also very good, cheap, good environment and delicious
Panglao Grande Resort
3.1/510 Reviews
We recently (January 2020) stayed at the Panglao Grande Resort in Bohol. We give this resort 7/10. The first reason for this is because the resort is not 100% “ready” meaning the road to the resort is not complete. There is a caveat to this though and that is a legal battle between the resort and the neighbors who purchased land and the road to the resort with it. This is NOT the fault of the resort and they have an alternate dirt road that they use to transport to and from, but it just makes it less “comfortable.” The second reason is for the restaurant which leaves some things to be desired. They don’t accept credit cards, they were constantly out of food (I’m talking early in the morning for breakfast when they should be ready to go for the day). The third reason is credit cards at the hotel, meaning they don’t accept them. We understand that things happen and internet goes down from time to time, but to promote yourself as a resort and not accept credit cards in 2020 is just not up to snuff. On the other hand... The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating (we will give them a 9/10) with all aspects of the resort. They put us in an upgraded room when the AC in our unit went out, they were quick to help with travel off the resort and also to plan tours and excursions. Always with a smile ready to assist with our luggage. The staff really made our stay pleasant. Let’s talk rooms... We had an opportunity to stay in 3 rooms during our visit. The first is room 18 which we DO NOT recommend. It feels like a staff quarters and is just not dressed properly for guests. The second was a pool side room #25 and this one was dressed properly, but had no view. The third was #3 and this one was GREAT! Facing the ocean, Private little entrance, tile floor, just good to go (oh, except the shower water pressure... they need to correct that). Location, location, location... This resort is off the beaten path, meaning it’s not in the party area (Alona Beach). It was quiet at night, chill and very relaxing. The beach was usually with handfuls of people at most and not crowded at all like Boracay or Alona. The area was kept clean and the staff did a wonderful job to make sure the grounds of the property and leading up to it from the beach were nice. We have been to the party spots before and it’s all good if you are in that kind of mode, but if you want to chill and spend time with your partner this place has you covered. Overall we were very happy with our stay. This is NOT a Hilton, so don’t expect that, it’s a province, keep that in mind. Final thoughts... Nice place. Budget friendly. It hits the marks for what you need.
