When I first saw the hotel I nearly kept going! It looks almost derelict from the outside and in desperate need of a makeover. However!! Inside was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and the beds were the comfiest I have stayed in. Stayed midweek so very quiet overnight, mostly tradesmen in. The beefeater pub next door was really nice, breakfast was excellent with a choice of cooked or continental. They had a variety of of choices to suit most people. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. It is by a busy road but you couldn’t hear the traffic from the room. Really nice hotel, couldn’t fault it except for the exterior.

Have used this particular hotel a number of times and it’s usually been adequate. However on this occasion it was not. The room was 26° C the whole time which made sleeping very difficult. The fan provided was extremely low quality and possibly didn’t adhere to British safety standards (according to the sticker on the side). Even at its highest setting it barely provided a breeze and was ridiculously noisy. We asked for another, better fan, but were sent an identical useless one. The WiFi stopped working as well as the TV. We were given a voucher for free ultimate WiFi so we were able to “watch” TV on my phone. The staff were helpful and polite but it felt as if the guests have become a nuisance. I shall not be using premier inns any time soon

5th time staying at this hotel, as our daughter is in Liverpool for University. This was a poor experience so probably the last time we stay. Bedroom and bathroom are tired looking. Beds didnt have duvets on, had them on top of wardrobe, but who wants to make a bed when you get there late? One duvet appeared to be stained (blood) Yuk! Bathroom looks tired, some black around bath, flooring had clearly had significant leak in past, so was discoloured, and bowing under foot, felt unsafe. Wifi, basically unusable due to poor signal. Verified on all 5 devices myself and family had. So pointless to offer free wifi, Didnt bother stumping up for the premium, given the signal issues, but also, useable wifi should be a given nowadays. Free parking is a bonus, but the hotel is used by lots of trades people, so get there late, and you are pushed to find a spot for all the vans in the carpark, that make navigating the carpark very difficult. Lots of potholes in carpark also. Also with all the trades people there, they are up early to get to work, so very noisy around 6am as they all get ready for work, we were on ground floor and noise from upstairs and corridor outside disturbed us all. Shame as we liked this hotel but will try alternatives now for next year of uni and visits.

We booked an early check-in for 11 am. Arrived and waited while the two receptionists booked in two ladies. Then told our room was not ready so moved us to a room on the 2nd floor well away from the reception. Got to the room and found an astonished cleaner working in there. After a few minutes of being questioned as to why we had been given the room key and whether we were at the right room she opened the the adjacent room so that we could change and attend our appointment. We were then given access to the actual room and could leave our suitcases etc. The room was not clean and standards have gone downhill.

We paid over £200 to stay here for 2 nights and that wasn't even including breakfast, absolute rip off. This Premier Inn is very very dated and is in need of a complete shutdown and refurbishment. Everything is tired and dated. The room was very small, no wardrobe space and even though it was a double room we were only provided with one smaller than medium towel and one smaller than small towel. The shower hose leaked so water went everywhere. The window in the room could only be opened 3 inches max so it was impossible to get any air into the room at all and given the unusually high temperatures at the time the room was like an oven and pretty much unbearable. A fan was provided but it has absolutely no power so didn't circulate any air. Now as for the Breakfast at the Beefeater, dont bother, its awful. We thought given we had paid over £200 to stay 2 nights it was included, it wasnt so that was an extra £11 each per breakfast and as I said it was awful. If you do decide to stay ( I really wouldn't) then dont get ripped off buying a breakfast. It really is dreadfull. It's a bottomless buffet but in all honesty once you've tried everything once, you'll not be going back for more. I've been around a while now so ive stayed in a lot of places across the globe and I can honestly say this is right down there with the worst of them . Sorry Premier Inn, I think the best thing for this place is to start again .

Stopped over after family visit. Good room facilities, typical of a Premier Inn, excellent breakfast (but need to get breakfast early to avoid the queuing when large groups arrive) Really comfortable nights sleep, not noisy

Everything was the usual good Premier Inn standard except that the temperature ar night was 27 degrees. I stayed three nights and was not able to rest. The rooms and windows are positioned in such a way that the coolness of the nights could not get into the room.

Awful location got placed right by a VERY busy main road. Ok. Rooms were awful sliding door to bathroom was coming off and so stiff to open and close. Very very poor value. Sheets had rips. The whole place needed a massive upgrade and clean. And dont get me started on the Beefeeter restaurant next to it!!!!!
