Holiday Inn Leeds - Bradford

The worst experience ever in a hotel. An ex-Holiday Inn probably more professionally managed then. Reception confused, personal info incorrect, Dreadful Parking Eye system, log your car, or face a huge fine. The room number on the door was written in biro, a clue as to what lay beyond. The sink in the bathroom was was badly broken and not repaired. but It was 7pm and we were tired and hungry, or would have asked for a change of room. Paintwork shabby. Really bad. Bar / restaurant staff lazy and unhelpful. We were a group of four and ordered from the menu, much of which was unavailable, including lettuce for the salad, chicken wings, Rib-Eye Steak etc etc. The T Bone Steak I chose, was overcooked and small. The wines were poor quality and sour tasting, all horrid. The hotel seems to be Indian owned now, as Sikhs are forbidden from drinking alcohol, I guess the quality of the wine is not monitored by them. Service during our meal was a nightmare, I had to get up to find someone to serve us. I retired to the bar for a drink. The barman watched me for a long time and said he was on a break and there was no one else to help me, Finally I and i said well if you are unable to serve me, if I serve myself and l will pay you when you have finished your break. He suddenly forgot about the importance of his break and called security. I am 70 years old and the man he called was disrespectful, rude and aggressive. I pointed out to the receptionist the problems I had encountered. She asked why I was asking her? As it was nothing it was nothing to do with her! The security man said if I didn't like it why didn't I just check out there and then? As I was forced to pre-pay and it was late I declined. I said I intended to complain and asked for his name. He said under GDPR regulations he wasn't obliged to supply that information, although while he was prepared to to hide behind those rules, Frankly I doubt he knew what the acronym meant. Avoid!
Leonardo Hotel Bradford - Formerly Jurys Inn

We arrived on Saturday 1st of October around 2pm having driven up from Birmingham. We checked in ( having booked a superior room) which apparently entitled us to a free coffee, a bottle of water and a free biscuit during our stay. Upon arrival we asked if we could eat in the restaurant as we were hungry. We were told it was shut, then it was open, then it was shut, nobody seemed to actually know. We wandered in and were seated and told by someone ( who I think must have been their first day) that MAYBE we could eat. It was getting a little ridiculous by now. YES, indeed we could eat. Great. He came back to take our order having not given us a menu. Eventually someone else who seemed a little more clued up gave us scruffy photocopies of about the five dishes we could choose from, when i mentioned the menu I had seen in reception seemed a little more varied he replied in a pleasant but not even vaguely apologetic manner ” oh yes we haven't got a proper chef in so we have a very limited menu”. Hmm, right, so we ordered a pizza and some fries to share with a couple of soft drinks. In fairness we didn't have to wait too long and it was tasty enough and filled a hole. We then negotiated a long queue in reception to get the lift up to our room. EXCEPT WE COULDN'T. Because the door TO the lift would not open with the key card we had. Neither would it open for the receptionist with HER key.. she then got us another which got us through the door to the lift, lift safely deposited us on our floor, we got to our room, only to find our key wouldn't open our door. Our door to our ”superior” room. Great. Except it wasn't because now my other half had to go down back to the reception and explain this, a task not made any easier by what seemed, on first glance, to be half of Spain populating the reception area. Never mind, no matter, so now he has to run up seven flights of stairs to get back to our room because he couldn't get into the lift. Ok, right, so NOW we are into our room, which did not turn out to be in any way superior and exactly what you would expect in any budget hotel and not even as spacious. It had all the basics, just soap and shower gel in dispensers ( not very superior) it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The tv was a night mare to negotiate and one of the lights did not work. No matter, we only changed and slept in the room. All in all the visit was pretty much comedy and, while we didn't pay a fortune for it things that work ( like room keys) and people who knew what was open or shut ( like restaurants and menu details) MAY have been nice. I knew we should have done Premier Inn for less because the Jury's DEFFO in on this, and we found it guilty on several counts. Shame.

🚗 Transportation: Right next to Bradford train station, very convenient 🧹Hygiene: average, not outstanding and not too much of a problem, maybe a bit old 🍃Environment: Very classical, a classical hotel that can be seen from the name 🔔Service: The mirror is hot and it is interesting to prevent fogging
Cedar Court Bradford Hotel

Very recommended to stay, cost-effective, the environment is very good. Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. The design of the room's small pendulum is also very distinctive. Next time, check in.
Weavers Guesthouse by Weavers of Haworth

Wauw. What an amazing lovely, homy cosy Guesthouse /b&b to spend the night. Very charming and elegant with lots of warm hospitality from Bendan and Josie from the moment we checked in. The house is so nice decorated all over from the ground floor up the stairs to your room. The bathroom may be small but we loved the mirror with light builded in and everything was so clean. We had a cold beer at arrival, thank you Brendan, just what we needed. Breakfast comes with a lot of choices for veggies and fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and juice/Coffee. I must say that through out of our two weeks in England, Weavers was top of the top.

very poor service no one seems to know what they are doing. this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, not even a 2in my opinion!!! no fridge in the room, dining room in a morning, coffee out of a machine!!! what's all that about, being in a 4 star i really do expect coffee/tea to be served. Fried eggs left under light so long they were like rubber, young kids as staff. if you want your room to be cleaned and bed made you have to book the night before and then they don't turn up. Shortage of towels in room? go to reception who will give you them, what happened to taking to the room for you. No unfortunately will NEVER go back to this hotel think would have got better service at a travel lodge for less than half price.. Very disappointed did put in a complaint not only in the hotel but to head office and head office have not had the decency to acknowledge my complaint. save your money and try somewhere else.
