Ottawa Hotels with Breakfast

This hotel is nice & cozy. Clean pool & gym, good breakfast. There is a small shop at Lobby. A supermarket “Food Basics” will be opening soon opposite the hotel, this is very good if you prefer to cook meals. Subway is just opposite too & lots of buses stop by around the hotel. Walking to China town takes only 15-20 mins where you can dine at different restaurants. We will stay here again next time when visiting Ottawa.

Room cleanliness and air conditioning were good. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was simple but good in quality. However the breakfast queue was long and food replenishment was not done in pace with the flow, ended up in a long queue not moving as people stayed in the front of the queue stayed in the queue waiting for replenishment. The dinning space was insufficient that could not accommodate the big crowd. We ran into issue setting up the sofa bed. Calling the front desk asking for assistance we were stunned by a reply saying they would not send staff to help but urging us to try for another attempts and kept reassuring us the sofa bed operation was simple and easy. Finally we got that sorted out with help from other hotel customers.. A major disappointment that totally ruined my experience with the hotel was the way my enquiry was handled towards an unknown charge after I checked out. In the check out bill, it was just a charge billed to my credit card without indicating what service or item I was billed for. While my family did not order or buy anything at all from the hotel and we were in a rush, I did not check the bill upon check out until 5 days later I saw it in my credit card account. I sent an email to the hotel reservation (that was the only email channel I found from the hotel home page) to enquire about the charge and no reply was received ever towards my enquiry and that's what I was hit. Although the unknown charge was refunded after another week, I did not feel good with the way they work. I frankly accept mistakes made by the front desk or the account team for incorrect bill, but I do not accept ignorance and zero communication from the backend on my enquiry. This is something the hotel should improve.

Great stay. Central location downtown. Comfortable bed and pillows. Felt relaxed and revitalized. Room as upgraded at check in by the receptionist so that was a bonus!

The room facilities were excellent, and the room itself was very spacious. It's conveniently located with attractions nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Definitely worth recommending!

Very good hotel, position is excellent, walking distance to centre. Service good, but reception is small and rooms are stilish but not as modern as Sheraton in central EU for example.

My experience at the hotel was excellent. There was coffee shops close so that’s fine.

Where to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

The breakfast is rubbish, typically American, so there is nothing. Those who say it is good have obviously never been to hotels on other continents. The location is good, right on the edge of downtown Ottawa, so you can easily walk to the center. Parking is limited, so if you don't make a reservation in time in the morning, you won't have a place to park in the hotel, but there is a garage 5 minutes' walk away, which is also cheaper and can be easily walked. The biggest drawback of the hotel is that it is located next to the center for the homeless, and unfortunately many of them are not very clear-headed and it is very unpleasant to walk by them, day or night.

Great place to stay nice & clean not far from downtown . Private parking and room for 3 people was big with a big kitchen. I definitely recommend . Price is also affordable.

酒店就在路邊，附近有便利店和很多餐廳，很方便，有公交站，前台小姐姐很可愛，説渥太華很安全，如果有任何危險她可以幫我叫警察，讓我放心在渥太華玩，早餐是到前台領一個紙袋，裏面有一個小甜品和一瓶酸奶➕一個果汁。房間隔音效果一般，門口停車和有人路過都能聽到，住的是一樓，總共就兩層吧。短暫過渡一晚還是沒問題的，渥太華也沒啥好玩的，待一天景點都能打卡完。
