Interlaken Hotels with Breakfast

Hotel at a great location which is opposite train station and bus stop. Front desk lady was so helpful with our enquiries. We even hv a free bus ride card for our stay. Hotel stay came with breakfast at rooftop. Excellent view of the snowy mountains. Definitely will stay there again if i revisit Interlaken!

This hotel in Interlaken offers great value for money, and I was very satisfied: 1. The location is unbeatable; it's just across the road from the train station and has Migros and Coop nearby. 2. It's clean and tidy, with daily housekeeping. Although the room is small, both of our large suitcases could be fully opened, and there's even a small balcony, which is a great bonus. 3. The front desk has a 24-hour coffee machine and hot water, so it's very convenient to go downstairs and grab a drink whenever you're thirsty. 4. There's no air conditioning, but there's a fan, which was perfectly adequate for sleeping even on the hottest days. The downsides are that the breakfast selection is very limited and unappetizing. Also, if you turn on the lights at night, insects and flies come in (but this seems to be common throughout Interlaken due to the many cows and their manure…). However, if you tell the front desk, they'll come with various tools to help you get rid of them, so the service is still excellent.

This hotel feels more like a 3-star than a 4-star. Pros: Excellent location, good air conditioning. Cons: It's primarily a hotel for tour groups, so it feels quite chaotic until you get to your room. When I first entered the room, I was a bit taken aback by how haphazardly the towels and bedding were arranged. However, I stayed for 3 nights, and when I requested room cleaning on the last day, it was sparkling clean—the cleanest it had been. It seems the quality of cleaning varies greatly depending on who does it. The breakfast, in particular, was really disappointing. For a 4-star hotel, it's quite a letdown overall. Even the coffee machine was an old Swiss model, which is surprising given how many guests there are. I wouldn't recommend staying here again unless the price is significantly cheaper compared to other 4-star hotels.

The room is spacious with balcony.  Water pressure is good but hard to fix the wanted temperature. There is no fridge in room, you hv to use a small fridge in common area. There is a microwave and kettle provided in the basement. bugs will fly in your room if you turn on the light and open the window. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great thought not much choices.  A bit far from all the super market but in walking distance. You can use the spa in the hotel but on steam room and sauna only.

Thank you Mr Jean-Louis for your generosity and hospitality! It’s nice meeting you in person. Hotel Rossli is clean and comfy, located strategically close to train and bus stops. They also give to us Visitors Card through our stay (doesn’t need further validation, but just hop on and hop off the public transport within the inclusive area which was explained clearly to us during check in) which even covers the public transport to visit St Beatus Waterfall and Isewald for “Steg Crash Landing on You” viewpoint and Brienzersee Lakewalk, The location also made it easy for us to travel to both Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Can’t believe we could manage to visit so many places with just a 2 nights stay. The hotel is also within walking distance to nearby grocery stores. Last but not least, the hotel also provides common/shared kitchen with microwave oven and unlimited coffee and teas! And there are many many TV channels, even more TV channels than usual 4 or 5 stars hotels. All in all, highly recommend. Would come back and stay again 😊

First, let's talk about the location. From Interlaken Ost station, turn right and walk straight for about 280 meters, and you'll arrive. Actually, you don't even need to exit the station; just walk to the end of the platform, and it's much closer. We discovered this later and always used that route – just make sure you know which platform to walk along directly, avoiding the underground passage. Second, the hotel service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. They gave a thorough introduction to the hotel and important notices, specifically mentioning not to put food waste in the bins. For self-catered food, there's a dedicated dining area (Pic 8) where they provide free plates and cutlery, which you just need to return to the bar counter after use. We had to book a suite because all other rooms were full. The room was quite spacious, with a small balcony offering a nice view of the mountains behind (Pics 1, 2). The bathroom had a massage bathtub with lavender and ice salt available, which was incredibly relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was served in the back garden, and the setting was lovely. The only drawback was that the temperature hit 30 degrees Celsius during our first few days, and the room had no air conditioning. (Hotels with AC are rare there, which is understandable, but I still hope they'll improve this in the future, especially with global temperatures rising). After contacting the front desk, they provided a fan, which helped a lot. In the following days, the temperature dropped, and it was fine; after all, it gets cool in the mountains at night. The hotel's decor style truly resembles a vintage European hotel. Plus, there's a row of seats and tables outside the entrance, which is a great spot to sit and enjoy the street view in the evening. Directly opposite the hotel is the cable car station for the Harder Kulm viewpoint, and Hohematte Park is just a short walk away. Third, directly across from the train station is a large Coop supermarket that has pretty much everything. As others have mentioned, the roasted chicken is indeed cheap and delicious, about 7 CHF for half a chicken. It closes at 7 PM, but there's also a smaller Coop supermarket inside the train station that closes at 9 PM. It has fewer varieties than the main one, but it still covers basic food needs, even if the selection isn't huge.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Interlaken Youth Hostel. The location is very convenient, especially for travellers who plan to explore Interlaken and the surrounding areas. It is right next to Interlaken Ost station, making it very easy to catch trains to places like Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. There are also buses nearby, and getting around without a car is very easy. The hostel is also within walking distance of the town centre, restaurants and supermarkets, which was very convenient for us. The room was clean and the facilities were adequate for a short stay. The biggest advantage for us was definitely the excellent location and easy access to public transportation. Would recommend it to travellers looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in Interlaken, especially if you are travelling by train.

The location is super convenient, right next to Platform 1 of Interlaken West station. There's a large supermarket directly opposite where you can buy groceries to cook in the apartment, and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We stayed in an apartment, which was very spacious, and the facilities were well-maintained and quite new. Although we arrived in late May, we unfortunately hit a European heatwave with temperatures around 27-28 degrees Celsius. Since the apartment didn't have air conditioning, it was quite uncomfortable. I saw in the reviews that the hotel usually offers two fans per apartment, so I immediately called the front desk to ask if they could provide one. They said they could provide one. As there were two bedrooms, I asked if we could have two, and the front desk directly replied: 'No, you can only request one fan.' Their attitude felt a bit unfriendly. Also, in apartments without air conditioning, a fan should really be considered a basic amenity and not something guests have to specifically request.

Car can park at the hotel entrance free of charge. Room is spacious for 4 people. Staff are friendly and provided us free travel card within interlaken area. My daughters are happy that the staff gave them chocolate and candy were put on the bed at Day 1. 10 minutes walk from Interlaken West Station. Not many choice for breakfast but the taste is good. Hotel cost is super expensive during summer time in Interlaken......but I still think this is a brilliant hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Interlaken, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's right by the West train station. Although there's no air conditioning, it wasn't too hot at night, and the surroundings are quite pleasant. For Switzerland, the price isn't too expensive either.
