Longyan Hotels with Breakfast

Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

A bit strange, known as a parent-child hotel, but there is no bed fence. Other children's supplies are quite complete. As a five-star hotel, watching customers talk is basic. Chen Xiaomei at the front desk was expressionless and had a bad attitude. He talked to him and didn't even lift his head. After checking in, the room type was not satisfied. This service is not as good as the restaurant of 50 yuan per capita in the mountain. The takeaway arrived, the person was temporarily not in the room, and I told the front desk to send it after five minutes. After 3 minutes, I returned to the room and found that the robot was already at the door, and there was no recruit. The front desk really seems to be a grass platform team. And found a giant ants in bed, The staff at the door cleaning aunty restaurant are very good. Xiaohongshu also brushed several front desks. It has not been improved for so long. Maybe the front desk is a relationship. ～

The location is convenient, and the hotel has a great design aesthetic. They offer a free shuttle service to the train station, and the driver was really nice. The popular beef offal noodle shop next door is delicious and affordable. Just a small heads-up: the water pressure in the shower is really strong; I'd suggest either changing the showerhead or adjusting the pressure.

Everything was great. For a B&B, my only requirement is cleanliness, and this place met it. The bathroom with a sink is on the first floor, and the bedroom is on the second. It has a wet/dry separation, and I could leave my luggage downstairs, which was very convenient! A thoughtful touch was the extra blanket in the closet – very helpful when traveling with kids! Most hotels nowadays don't provide this, and you usually have to pay extra for an additional blanket. For elderly guests who need to use the restroom at night, climbing stairs might be something to consider. Overall, it was an excellent stay! Living in a Tulou (earthen building) was a wonderful experience too!

The owner was incredibly thoughtful; seeing that we had elderly guests, she kindly upgraded us to a ground-floor room free of charge, which we greatly appreciated. Facilities: Good. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean. Ambiance: It got a bit dark outside at night; some outdoor lighting would be a great improvement. Service: Excellent.

Stayed for a night at the hotel and took the free guided tour to the 王子 Tulou. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Food is slightly above average. Location is right next to a Tulou. but it is not the Tulou with the tour. Attended the dinner shoe next door using the discount coupon. It is probably one of the lamest show I have seen in China. Very loud and piercing compère. Don’t waste your money on the show. The free guided tour is only for 王子土楼. The free guided tour is good. You may need your own transport there. You still need to pay for your tickets into the 土楼。 the guide’s relatives live there. Basically she will bring you to her house or cousin’s house for tea. And the tea is expensive. You get the drift.

This is a super warm homestay. It is newly opened, with new equipment, clean and hygienic environment, and spacious rooms. It is completely different from the concerns and pictures when booking. We checked in on New Year's Eve. The proprietress was very welcoming and cooked a New Year's Eve dinner for us. She charged a symbolic fee, which was very warm. This B&B is owned by Zhencheng. The proprietress also took us into the building for free to watch the show on New Year's Eve. She is especially good at taking photos. At the beginning of the year, she came to cook glutinous rice breakfast for us and I gave the boss lady a big hug right away!

After comparing many options, the hotel I booked was a pleasant surprise. The river view was absolutely stunning, facing the Tingjiang River with a wide-open vista, offering views of the Eight Happiness Tower and the beautiful covered bridge. It was incredibly close to all the scenic spots; the best restaurants were just steps away, and the snacks on Shuidong Street were all authentic – I regret not trying more! To see the beautiful Jichuan Gate at night and watch the drone show, there was no need to squeeze into a crowded taxi; it was just a 10-15 minute walk through Shuidong Street. The hotel service was also very attentive and responsive. While not the most luxurious hotel, it was definitely the most convenient. The breakfast selection was quite extensive, including freshly ground soy milk, refreshing mung bean soup, and various Tingzhou snacks, which my child enjoyed.

Not bad. The newly renovated hotel is more suitable for my style. The view from the high floor is okay. I will stay here again next time. Although there is no breakfast, there is a food street downstairs, which is very convenient.

The host arranged for us to make torches and join in the local Lantern Festival celebrations, which included the 'Tian Xinding' custom – it was a really fun experience! The hotel was very clean and quiet. The host was also remarkably confident in their service and went out of their way to help, even assisting me with receiving a package. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.
