My boy and myself have had a beautiful stay with Guanzhai Junlan hotel for his school holiday. Mountain view is stunning, room is very nicely renovated, food is excellent, and most importantly staff are very incredibly helpful, providing detailed directions and recommendations for local restaurants. Highly recommended for your Fujian / Hakka itinerary!

A great escape from city life. Very relaxing environment with green and country side feel. Lunch and dinner is very delicious. A stroll to the tulou is not far away and you can enjoy the scenery throughout. Since this area is in a tulou scenic area, you will need to apply for a pass RMB 90 to get through security. Advisable to call the minsu and ask them for application procedure especially for foreigners. Age above 65 is free to enter . The only cons is that the mattress is too thin. Overall it is a very wonderful stay . Love this place..

Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk staff were professional and welcoming. I would especially like to thank ć°é± for being very friendly and helpful, particularly in guiding me through the procedure to collect my parcels. The breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The wisest decision I made on this trip to Changting was choosing the Song Ci Hangzhan Hotel! As a four-star hotel, it perfectly blends historical charm, a superb location, and modern comfort, making for a fantastic stay. A hotel in the heart of the ancient city! The windows offer views of the Tingjiang River, and it's super convenient to walk to Jichuan Gate and Shuidong Street. The modern Chinese-style rooms are clean and smartly equipped, the bedding is so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed, and the front desk even provided helpful travel tips. Parking is reimbursed for those driving, making it incredibly cost-effective. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changting!

Enjoyed our 3 nights stay in this family run hotel just next to the Tulou. Had a nice river/mountain facing well equipped room with projector TV, wireless charging side table and v.comfy beds. Boss and his 2 nephews were most hospitable and offered their utmost assistance to us. . Everyone were super friendly and sociable. Hakka food is pretty good at the hotel and they do BBQs during the summer months outside at their patio , great to chill & socialise with the locals over a drink or 2 . They even had fireworks. Highly recommend to take the hotel package inclusive of the tulou night show plus a hotel set dinner.

Beautifully designed and renovated earth building! It was nice to get to stay in one of the tulous itself. We rented the whole building of 6 rooms for our family. All rooms are on the 2nd floor. 5 out of 6 rooms have a bathroom that is on a separated floor from the bedroom. Thereâs only one room that has bathroom on the same level as the bedroom. So, it may not be ideal for the elders. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. Thereâs a small stream of river flowing in front of the house throughout the village. Very serene. We got to see locals living their usual lives, farming and picking crops. However, itâs a bit far from any main tulou sights. The staff were very nice, but lack knowledge of the attraction sights.

The guesthouse has a great location, directly opposite a 500-year-old earthen building, according to the owner. You can see two earthen buildings from the window; the night view is beautiful. The owner's Hakka cuisine is delicious, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Highly recommended!
