We had such a great stay at Clay Beach Samui with our family and friends. The villa was beautiful, and we absolutely loved the view and the atmosphere. Everything felt peaceful and relaxing, and being right on the beach with a private pool made the whole experience even better. One of the things we enjoyed most was how much we could do without having to leave the villa. We tried several of the in-villa experiences, including the floating breakfast, cocktails, and spa treatments, and it was such a nice way to enjoy our time there. Everything added something special to the holiday, and we loved having the freedom to spend the day however we wanted. The outdoor space and activities were also great. With the garden, trampoline, badminton, and paddleboards, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. Having direct access to the beach was a big plus too, as we could easily move between the pool and the sea throughout the day. It was especially nice being able to enjoy all of this together without needing to plan trips outside. Honestly, one of my favourite things was just spending time at the villa. We could enjoy breakfast by the pool, swim, relax with the beautiful view, spend time at the beach, and enjoy the facilities at our own pace. It made the holiday feel effortless, and there was never any pressure to go out and find something to do. The staff were also great and helped make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We really appreciated the service, and the private chef was another highlight. The food was delicious, and having meals prepared for us at the villa made dining together with family and friends even more enjoyable. It was a lovely experience to have everything in one place and simply focus on enjoying our time together. What made Clay Beach Samui stand out for us was the overall experience. It wasn't just about having a beautiful villa; it was the combination of the views, the beachfront location, the relaxing atmosphere, the activities, and the service that made our stay memorable. Everyone had something to enjoy, and we could spend quality time together while still having plenty of space to relax. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday at Clay Beach Samui. It's a wonderful place for families and groups of friends looking for a beautiful beachfront villa with great facilities and thoughtful in-villa experiences. Review: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

Excellent Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui! We drove all the way from Bangkok, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The concierge team promptly assisted with our luggage and parked our car, making our arrival completely seamless. The lobby and check-in area are absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Koh Samui coastline. It is one of the best places to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. We were assigned Room 503, which was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The privacy compartment doors made it ideal for families, and the sofa bed was surprisingly large and comfortable—perfect for our 19-year-old son. Pros: - A beautiful private beach with complimentary kayaking. While it may not be the best beach for swimming, it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities. - The buggy service was incredibly fast and efficient. Every driver was friendly, cheerful, and always ready to take us anywhere around the resort within minutes. - Outstanding hospitality and guest service. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Mr. Ruben for taking such great care of us throughout our stay. - The concierge team did an excellent job arranging our private long-tail boat tour. We had a wonderful day visiting Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the beauty of Koh Samui. Everything was organized perfectly. - The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The bacon and pastries were among the best we've had, and a special thank you to Mr. Ping for serving us the sweetest, most delicious mangoes every morning. - Our housekeeping attendant, Mr. Renu from Myanmar, was exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. He kept our room spotless every day, and his attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable. During check-out, I had a pleasant conversation with Bernice, the Director of Rooms from Malaysia. Our chat about Malaysian food brought back wonderful memories and was a lovely way to end our stay. Three nights simply were not enough at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. This is the kind of resort where you should stay for at least one week to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough time to experience the gym, which looked excellent. Only one small suggestion: the breakfast seating area can get a little warm during the morning. Of course, that's part of the tropical outdoor atmosphere—almost like a natural sauna—but a few more cooling fans would make the experience even more comfortable. Overall, we completely fell in love with The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and warm hospitality from every member of the team made this an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly world-class stay in Koh Samui.

What I liked: 1) The room view and its size (but we paid a significant amount extra for it, because the initial room was impossible to sleep in - more on that below) 2) Quick problem resolution by staff 3) Daily, high-quality cleaning 4) Huge, comfortable bed, good pillows 5) Quiet in the new building, comfortable for sleeping What I didn't like: 1) Initially, we had booked a deluxe room with a garden view. Upon check-in, we were extremely tired after three flights and almost immediately fell asleep. We woke up at midnight to some wild noises (which turned out to be frogs) that didn't stop, and it was impossible to sleep. The old door had a huge gap, through which the sound barely diminished, as if we were sleeping outdoors. We had to urgently request a room change. Ultimately, they promptly provided us with a replacement in the new building, which was 1.5 times larger in area and 1.5 times more expensive, so we had to pay a significant amount extra, but it was worth it. 2) The breakfasts were terrible - stale bread and overripe fruit; the chef's eggs Benedict were mediocre. In the end, we went elsewhere for breakfast. 3) The air conditioning was very loud, making it impossible to sleep with it on, so we ended up sleeping without it.

We had a wonderful stay at Dara Samui. The receptionist was super kind and showed us all the amenities, explained clearly all the rules and time check in/out time, cleaning times, pool and breakfast times. They upgraded our room the highest level, so we were right by the pool with a very private garden and lots of privacy. The room was incredible and the shower was outdoor which made it super special. I am really grateful to the staff for their kindness. The cleaner was really good as well, she even gave us some flies insecticide due to the amount of flies near the bushes which can’t be helped in this heat. The breakfast has good variety from fruit, salads, yogurts, cereals, an egg station for eggs freshly made in any possible way (even crepes and omelettes). Also curry, rice, various meats, sushi and potatoes. Really good selection. The pool is nice and clean but most of all, very picturesque with beautiful flowers all around. It made the experience magical. Definitely would stay there again. 10/10 🙏

The hotel is beautiful, cozy, and green. We stayed in room S07, which was close to the beach. It's a two-story building with four rooms, and we were on the second floor. We didn't hear anyone, and although the terrace was shared by two rooms, we never saw our neighbors, and the terrace itself was quite spacious. The room was simply fantastic, decorated in a Thai style with wood everywhere, including the floor. The bathroom had tiles. We booked a room with a bathtub and a shower with a door. I don't think I've ever seen a room cleaned so immaculately in my life. Please commend the staff member responsible. It was simply perfect. They didn't just clean; they beautifully arranged everything, including our glasses, towels, and bathrobes. Not a single grain of sand was to be found. My heartfelt thanks. The beds were good, and the linens and towels were white and new. The air conditioning was a bit noisy but very well-placed, not blowing directly onto the bed. For me personally, this is the most important factor when choosing a hotel. The breakfasts were delicious: coffee, tea (which you could brew in a kettle), pastries, eggs, soups, Thai dishes, and some European options. The croissants were fantastic. There was plenty of fruit, and some seafood dishes were also available. The beach is beautiful, but there are some rocks and seaweed to the right, so everyone tends to move to the left, which makes it feel a bit crowded there. It's important to note that there are clubs nearby with loud music playing almost all night, and planes fly overhead, with the first one acting as an alarm clock at 7 AM and the last one around 10 PM. They don't fly at night. There's a market, plenty of cafes, and a shopping center nearby. Overall, despite being in the very center and near clubs, the hotel managed to maintain a green and quiet environment, and it was perfectly clean. I recommend it.

First of all, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to the hotel! I honestly didn't expect to have such a great vacation in Asia! 🥹 Let's start with the staff! I have to commend their perfect work! They do everything so quietly, you barely notice their presence! But they are definitely working! Always with pleasant smiles, greetings, and ready to help! 🥹 Regarding the rooms: we stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 11 years old). We ran into some difficulties here. The family room didn't accommodate 4 people (although the room description said it would), so I had to contact Trip.com support! And you won't believe it! They reimbursed me for the difference the hotel charged for the extra bed. (In total, the hotel charged 1000 baht per day for accommodation + meals for the 7-year-old child). The room itself was very spacious, stylish, and comfortable! A huge balcony with a table and chairs! 🥹 The hotel also provides waffle bathrobes! I want to especially highlight the location! It's perfect! There's a huge night market nearby with European food! (Moms will understand), and Thai cafes are also available! The sea in this area in June is ideal. I specifically went to Chaweng to swim, but I liked it more here! There were enough sun loungers for everyone, even during peak times! The sand was cleaned! The beach was cleared of trash and the sand was raked! ❤️ Just a few more words about breakfast! I know how important this is for parents! The children could always find something to eat! A huge selection of fruits. Eggs in any form, muesli! They even made mashed potatoes (not from powder)! The only thing, as others have mentioned, is the excessive amount of chlorine in the pool! The smell was even noticeable outside. Perhaps the hotel should pay attention to this! Overall, I *highly* recommend it! I will definitely return! Oh! And the cleanliness! I was shocked! Perfectly clean!

Excellent hotel for families and relaxation. We initially booked for 6 days, but after two days, we decided to extend our stay until the end of our vacation. The breakfasts are delicious, and some dishes change daily. The restaurant staff is very friendly. My only request to the management would be to diversify the music played by the pool and in the restaurant; it's often the same songs on repeat. Other than that, we absolutely loved everything. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

Booked a sea view room, located on a hillside, and the views were absolutely unbeatable. The room was also spotlessly clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast buffet offered different options every day, and we also got a free hour of kayaking. The restaurant had a different themed dinner set menu every night, and the food was delicious. Very satisfied overall.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights in January. It's located in the northern part of Chaweng Beach, away from the noisy nightlife. The location is convenient, but the sea itself in this part of the beach isn't great: lots of seaweed and rocks. The hotel staff were friendly and moved us to a more convenient room upon our request (the original one was on the ground floor, right by a walkway). The rooms themselves are spacious, everything is as described. For breakfast, the variety isn't huge, and some of the local dishes are quite spicy. I'd rate the breakfast 3 out of 5. Everything else was excellent.
