The location is very good, and you can basically walk to all the attractions in Buda. The lady at the front desk is very nice. The plane landed in the morning and arrived at the hotel at around 9 o'clock. The lady let us wait for half an hour and then checked us in early. The breakfast was also very rich and the room was very beautiful. It can be said that this is one of the most satisfactory hotels in the entire trip.

Well done Carlton-Buda Castle Hotel You've absolutely made our 3 night city break in Budapest. Our room was comfy, breakfast selection delicious, fresh bright staff from reception to chambermaids. It's a shame we won't ever return to Budapest as we would certainly stay again but alas a nasty experience with a thuggish ticket inspector on a BKK tram Has left a bad feeling and we will be making a complaint and seeking compensation. So tourists, please seek out information On Budapest tram inspector scam or hostile inspector especially on the single fair ticket.

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Every time I come to Budapest, I will choose to stay in this hotel. Here are a few reasons:
①Good location: very close to the city center, it is relatively convenient to walk to the White Bridge and the Freedom Bridge, and there are relatively many supporting restaurant options around🍴
②New hotel: The room is fully equipped with facilities and the space is not cramped. Most of the bathrooms in German hotels are equipped with drying racks, which are very friendly for washing and drying clothes in winter😉
③Good breakfast: The hotel has quite a few breakfast options. One time when I was catching a flight in the early morning, the things in the take-away breakfast bag prepared by the hotel were extremely delicious, and there were also drinks (after all, buying water in Europe is not cheap😂)
To sum up, this hotel can be regarded as a cost-effective choice!

I booked a Ctrip beggar’s version room and spent money to upgrade.
It is recommended to book a street view room with windows that can be opened.
The details of the room are pretty good. I forgot to take a photo. It’s the same as the picture online.
The service at the door is like this. After tipping, you will be replaced...
The front desk is quite helpful, but the quality of the doorman needs to be improved.
The restaurant is good and there is sparking wine freeflow for breakfast…

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay. The customer service is quite lacking at check in. It is a very old landmark hotel. It has its charm in the classical atmosphere in the furnishings. There are two sections in the hotel where one section has been furnished with modern style amenities. We stayed at the suite of the old section. The rooms are clean and functional. The main issue of the hotel is in its operations. When we checked in, the man at the front desk had a very unfriendly demeanor towards us. I hate to think it's based on our race, we are Asian Americans, but our observations of his interactions with other guests seems to support our suspicion. When the house keeping failed to leave a bottle of water on the third day, we got back in our room late and tired, and did not expect having to go back out to get water. I called the front desk and through the conversation had the understanding that I was to go down and get the water the housingkeeping forget to provide. Again, the demeanor was very unfriendly. When I went down to the counter, I was told quite rudely that if I want water I should go purchase it at the bar. It might have been a miscommunication when I spoke with him just minutes earlier. From my perspective, it was a complete 180 from what we had JUST discussed. Overall, I regretted booking at this hotel, it may have had it's golden days of grandeur, but it is now a faded, poorly operated hotel that seems to rely heavily on group tour guests. There are plenty of hotels in this beautiful city and I wish I had relied on Trip Advisor reviews more than just the booking website.

We are so grateful to Tamás Killarney and his wonderful front desk team for looking after us so well at the Hotel. He was incredibly helpful after we had a bad experience at an airbnb and we are so grateful for his help and professionalism. Gergely Gombos was also extremely helpful giving us information on everything - a real credit to the hotel. Thank you so much - two outstanding employees The meals were not very special otherwise we would have given 5 stars.

Stayed 5 nights for a conference with 3 other colleagues. Quaint hotel that looks its age. Had very friendly and helpful staff handling check in/out. Had taken a suite, but it was rather small. Main door opened into an anteroom with 2 internal doors - 1 of which led into bedroom (just enough space for a double bed with 2 small side tables). The other door led into a small living room (space for dressing table, couch, TV, and a small round table with a chair). Bathroom is a little dim. Breakfast buffet had standard ham and cheese cuts, scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, fruits - repeated daily. Noticed the staff change the cutlery after each dinner, but the placemats on the table is not changed. Location is excellent with nearby train and bus station leading to all major attractions. Also have supermarkets nearby.

Outstanding
GGuest UserOne of the best stay I ever had. The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere, the breakfast it's really good and has a great variety of food, the attendant's team is almost perfect, expect for the bar in the evening, the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. I found a very nice surprise for woman, beside the hair dryer there was an hair straightener. Very hepfull! The SPA was clean and excellent atmpsphere. I foundall service I would like to have. We didn't try the restaurant, but I saw people dining when in Budapest all the restaurants don't accept you anymore. I really felt cluddled!
SSteffenDA nice and pretty affordable four star hotel - perfect for families. Clean, relatively big and modern rooms with river view and balcony. The rooms are bright and give you a good feeling. Bathtub and shower in one. Medium size TV with an okay selection of channels. The very nice thing about this hotel is the pool and sauna area. Several pools for swimming, relaxing and one pool with thermal water. They even have kind of a medical spa/hospital attached to the hotel where you can get (health) cure. The breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. The hotel WiFi works very good and is available almost everywhere. The service and staff are friendly and helpful. They provide you a free water bottle in the room as welcome gift, which other hotels don’t as the tap water is drinkable. The location is on the island, where there are parks and kids playgrounds nearby, even there is a very small zoo for kids to play/touch some animals. To go to most sights/inner city/circus/thermal pools you can take a taxi with the Bolt app for approx. 8-10€. Near the hotel there is also a very tasty chain restaurant VakVarjú Étterem with typical Hungarian dishes. The hotel is also very dog friendly. We loved our stay and will come back. We also stayed in Danubius Hotel Helia nearby, but this one here is much better!
GGuest UserWe had an amazing time at UP hotel Budapest. Staff are polite and professional, our room and the hotel were clean, breakfast were good selections of foods and drinks and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. They don’t have kid’s menu so they provided pasta based on my child’s request. My child really enjoyed eating them.I definitely recommend UP hotel Budapest and would like to go back one day.
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located very close to public transportation. The tram is right across the street and the Metro station just a short walk away. You can also walk across to the other side of town where all the stores and restaurants are by using the Chain Bridge. However the bridge was closed for pedestrians last month, not sure if it is now open. Our room was a good size and we had a beautiful view of the Danube river and the Parliament. The small balcony outside our window needed to be cleaned though, as there were spider webs everywhere. Realized that after I stuck my head outside to look at the view.. You can also look outside the window in the hallway when you get off the elevators. It has a nice view of the castle at night. Bathroom was fine, there was a nice bathtub with a nice shower but I found the bathtub very high and it took me extra effort to climb in and out. Never had that problem before but for some reason this tub was not easy to climb into. The breakfast had many yummy choices. There were not many changes in what they offered everyday, but still they had many choices and also many different coffees you could prepare on the machine. Front desk staff were cordial and one young man in particular was very helpful with everything that we needed. I don't remember his name but he was in his 30s I believe with a goatie. All in all we enjoyed our stay! The only thing we wished is that this hotel had a pool, but oh well!
GGuest UserLarge room, large shower but the water had probably a lot of limestone and other irritants so much that my girlfriend and I became blond at the end of the holiday, and I suggest to male available some eye drops because the eyes after the shower immediately became very reddened and swollen, as an Italian I really appreciated the presence of the bidet, lack of privacy because we had two windows that didn't even close completely and we had only one transparent white curtain available, and that was a passage area and everyone could see us inside. We thank the honesty of those who welcomed us and warned about the possibility of receiving unexpected visits: ”thieves and clochards” and for safety they also wrote it inside the room, just right on the wall indicating the exact point from which they would enter. Good luck!
张张This is a family hotel.
1. There are two check-in points. But the names are different. The store did not explain. It cost a lot of trouble on the day of check-in. I stood in the cold wind for more than 20 minutes that night.
2. No catering. There is also no refrigerator. The surrounding restaurants are very expensive. The breakfast restaurant introduced by the store is far away. The store's explanation of the address was also unclear, and it took a lot of trouble to eat breakfast for the first time.
3. There is no supermarket within at least one kilometer
4. The hotel is located in a residential building. Go through the security door when going out. The security door is equipped with a door open button, which is 4-5 meters away in a straight line, and the store did not explain. There are two green lights flashing on the security door, always thinking that it is a button to open the door, but it has never been successfully opened, always let passersby help.
5, the reception staff are not skilled. Too much inconvenience for simple check-in.
GGuest UserThe airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.
GGuest UserWe loved our 5 night stay here, we opted for a 1 bedroom apartment. We were amazed at how big, clean and well equipped the apartment was (there were even a couple of laundry pods to do washing if you wished). The staff at reception were really welcoming and happy to help giving great advice. Location is fantastic as close to all the main sights with the metro, tram and bus stops at the top of the road. Close to some brilliant restaurants like Mozel Tof, Ghetto Goulash and Pork and Prezli (make sure you book) Really handy that the direct airport bus stop is just a 5 minute walk too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if coming to Budapest.
GGuest UserWe had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.
GGuest UserIt is spacious enough to cook. It is 370 meters away from the East Railway Station, and it is convenient to go to the airport. I stayed here for three nights, and I will stay here again when I come to Europe.
