Toyoko-Inn Busan Jungang Station

The room was compact but very functional, and my daughter absolutely loved the pink decor. It's really close to the Busan KTX station, making it perfect for connecting train travel.

The room is small, perfect for a solo traveler, and very cozy. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, or you can buy them from the vending machine downstairs.

Severe discrimination against Chinese people, even bordering on **hate speech**. As a Chinese student studying in Korea, I know that the number '4' (사) in Korean sounds similar to 'death' (사), making the 4th floor an unlucky number. Many places change the 4th floor to 'F' out of superstition. The hotel assigned me to a room at the end of the 4th floor. When I requested a room change, the staff member warned me that it wasn't possible. I hadn't even entered the room yet. After my polite attempts to negotiate failed, I asked for a refund. Only then did she say I could change rooms, but she also warned me that after this change, no further room changes would be allowed, regardless of the room's condition. I understand Korean, so I knew she was lying. During my check-in process, two groups of Korean people came in to book rooms for the same night. They booked the cheapest room type (61,000 Korean Won) and were assigned to the 13th and 14th floors. I stayed at the hotel for three days and noticed that all the guests on the 4th floor were Chinese – not a single Korean person. Because I insisted on a room change, I was moved to the 9th floor. Aside from me and my friend, everyone else on that floor was Korean. Other Europeans were also assigned to various floors. But the 4th floor, the most inauspicious, was exclusively allocated to Chinese people. I asked my Korean friends, and they confirmed this is discrimination against Chinese people, even bordering on **********. I complained to Ctrip customer service, but they refused to acknowledge their discriminatory behavior. Everyone should avoid this hotel that treats Chinese people this way and **discriminates against them**. Ctrip should also boycott such hotels and remove them from their platform! (There was hair coming out of the faucet in the bathroom, but I was too angry at the time to take a picture.)

Location: Heads up, it's a bit of a walk from the train station, about 20 minutes on foot, but it's just one bus stop away right to the entrance. Facilities: It's an older Japanese-style hotel, meeting the typical requirements of Japanese hotels – small but fully functional. There's a bathtub for a relaxing soak. Environment: Overall clean, but it's not in a commercial area. There's only a CU convenience store nearby.

The room was clean and tidy. Although a bit small, it had all the necessary facilities. Staying on a high floor was very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to extend the breakfast hours a bit later (it ended at 9 AM).

The accommodation was clean and a good size, and breakfast was included, offering great value for money. The only downsides were the 10 AM check-out, which felt a bit too early, and the lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste.

First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station and very close to Busan Station, which means there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. There's also an Olive Young and a pretty big Daiso close by, making everything super convenient. The hotel must be quite popular as there was a bit of a queue during check-in. The best part was definitely the breakfast – it was diverse and delicious. I'll definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Busan.
