Hotels in Cairns tend to be a bit on the pricier side, which is to be expected for a tourist city. This one is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from the reef departure terminal, and there's a large chain supermarket nearby. The room was also quite clean.

Mixed Experience – Great Location, Poor Internet & Breakfast Setup The hotel is in a great location, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Facilities like the car park and lifts were well maintained and met expectations. However, as business travellers, the internet connection was a major letdown. The hotel appears to rely on a hotspot system, which was extremely unreliable—slow speeds and constant disconnections all weekend. Streaming services such as Netflix were unusable, and even basic browsing was frustrating. To make matters worse, the remote control had nearly dead batteries and worked intermittently. We were also disappointed with the rest and breakfast experience. After early starts each day, we were hoping for some quiet downtime in the afternoon, but this was hard to enjoy given the other issues. The weekend breakfast arrangement felt misleading. Instead of onsite breakfast, we received a $20 per person voucher to a nearby café. While the café was pleasant, it only opened at 7:30 am on weekends—not ideal when you're starting work at 6:30–7:00 am. And realistically, $20 doesn’t go far at most cafés these days, so it felt like a cost-cutting workaround rather than a genuine breakfast offering. On a positive note, Clara at reception on Saturday was professional and kind—she did her best to assist, though unfortunately there wasn’t much she could do. It seemed like her manager may have been present but avoided getting involved, which was disappointing given the situation.

This place is great for families with kids, boasting a playground, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. Our children had an absolute blast! The room facilities were a bit cramped and basic, and transportation was limited to taxis. However, we were generally satisfied with our stay and would recommend it.

There is a sofa bed, it seems that it can also be an extra bed, the kitchen utensils are very uniform, and it is comfortable to cook.

Overall a pleasant stay, however location was a bit far from city centre than expected. Room was very spacious, great service, clean sheets and towels, nonetheless the hotel in general was a bit old, only the restaurant area and the pool was refurbished, rooms would probably need some updates (Though I would say 80% hotels in Cairns are pretty aged). Overall satisfactory given the price👍

Very grand lobby to start with. Nice hotel in a very handy location. We have a good view overlooking the sea, which is great. Just a short walk to the Night Markets. Woolworths is even closer. The Wildlife Doom is just opposite the road. So everything is so handy.

Loved Tropic Towers! Location a little out of the ways if you don't drive, but amenities and space was amazing👍🏼

Very good hotel for the price. Great location close to everything and the airport. Very clean, lots of coffee tea milk supplied. The only complaint I have is there was no water coming out of she shower

There is no breakfast, the room is large and clean, can accommodate 4 people, one large bed and two small beds, the bed is very comfortable, the room can also cook, and the kitchenware is full. The location is excellent, it is very convenient to be close to the supermarket and the seaside. The old lady is very nice and welcoming. Next time you stay in Cairns. Oh, forget to say, the cat is so cute!
