Cairns Harbourside Hotel

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The staff were very welcoming and always willing to help with anything, which was a real positive — truly 5-star service from the team. Unfortunately, the housekeeping was disappointing. Some cups in the room had lipstick marks on them, and the shower gel bottles appeared to be mostly filled with water rather than gel, although this was rectified immediately after mentioning this to the reception. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk into town. There is also a bus stop near the hospital with a bus running roughly every hour. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the center, but it only operates at 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 4:00 PM, and 4:30 PM, so the schedule is somewhat limited. There aren’t many dining options nearby other than the hotel restaurant, and the food there was not particularly good. Your best option is to head into town, where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. For example, the hairdryer was broken, the sink was cracked, and the shower looked old and worn. On the positive side, the sheets and towels were clean, and pool/beach towels are provided. The pool/Jacuzzi is clean. Overall, I would recommend staying here and an very happy with my stay.

This is a really nice hotel. You can see the sea right outside the door. The hotel is well-equipped and the swimming pool at night is very beautiful. I especially want to praise the service attitude of the hotel. The staff are all very friendly. Because my friend's birthday was coming and I didn't have time to prepare a cake, they specially provided a cake storage service, which was of great help to us. In addition, they kindly prepared umbrellas for us on rainy days. It's a hotel worth recommending!

The front desk was very helpful in storing luggage, showing ways to city centre and even helped with my postcards on Sunday. The room was comfortable and tidy, with basically everything a traveller needs.

The location is very convenient—close to the airport and within walking distance to the central area. The rooms were clean, the amenities were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Excellent hotel with an excellent buffet breakfast. Definitely get a sea view room. We loved waking up to the amazing view. We like walking so we purposely didn’t stay right in the city or on the marina, it was a half hr walk to either as you are right in the middle.

Lovely hotel. Great staff, receptionists couldn’t do enough for you. Richard and Blissa ( I think her name was) were amazing. Cleaners really friendly, all in all a great place to stay. Lovely views over the sea, 15 mins walk to the Night Market. 

The gym that is advertised as a package deal for the hotel was completely irrelevant as it was places 2 blocks from the hotel. We asked for a balcony side overlooking cairns beach. But we got a street view where an illegal indigenous “block” party was going on. we called once they checked it out and then they came again. The shower was really bad and short above the shower there was an intake and it was covered in dust and mold. Not been cleaned in a. Couple years. The charger situation was atrocious had 2 PowerPoints opposite to the bed which is so dumb. No Netflix or chromecast to the tv. Pillows were trash and needed a couple to stay up right. hotel was a hot 3/10. That’s generous
