Rooms are windowless, but well kitted out (no drink making facilities) and well maintained. The superb AC was a boon in 29C weather! A great bus service into the city centre is only a short walk away as are several supermarkets and food chains. Only gripe was being provided one pillow and one towel per person and having to pay for extras."

"The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, has old world charm yet modern. Breakfast is good though sometimes a long queue is formed outside the restaurant. But my check in was very disappointing. First the time it took for that staff to process it led me to think either their computer is not working or there's a problem with my booking (but I have received reminder from Trip.com. Worst, that staff asked me to pay a sum which is about £100 more than the stated sum on my hotel voucher ( he even said specifically "For the first night the amount is xxx, and for the second night, the amount is xxx, with a security deposit of £50, the total is £4xx."I told him he made a mistake as the sum stated in my printed voucher is only £3xx. That staff is either incompetent or not trustworthy, and should not be working on front desk. ALWAYS CHECK THE PRICE ON YOUR VOUCHER."

"Initially once we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn’t quite available for another 10 to 15 minutes but the hotel gave us two free drinks to make up for this minor inconvenience which we were both very happy with! The room itself was spacious and had a partition wall separated in the two double beds which was appreciated. There was also a large Jacuzzi which was clean and had no debris while in use and made for a rather relaxing night Vista for all lovely, friendly, and kind."

"Great location for us, just a short taxi ride into the city where we watched a gig at the Utilita. The breakfast was really good with a great selection of cooked, pastries and fruit to choose from. The only downside- we were staying during the heat wave and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. A fan was provided, but did little to help cool the room down. Overall, everywhere was clean and tidy and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful."

"Toilet area smelt of urine. Needs extra mopping on floor. One lift not working the other very slow. Not ideal when you're on the 6th floor and the staff do not swipe the key cards effectively and we had to walk up and down six floors to get them reswiped. We had water and fruit previously but only booked standard room."
