Villa Santa is a magical place surrounded by a forest, in the most beautiful town of Vidzeme. Every time I return there, I feel like home. The restaurant serves excellent food. In this place, every detail has been thought out for the well-being of the guests.

Beautiful old hotel nicely adorned with multiple buildings to stay in. Dinner was great and they easily adapted to our food sensitivities. Breakfast is more than ample with many choices for hot and cold. Don’t forget to do the sauna. Both regular and steam saunas in the hotel to go back and forth in or sit for a few minutes and enjoy the view of the forest.

This is a special destination and one we would not have missed even though the Villa is outside of town in a marvellous location. The facilities, room and ambience is second to none. Superb beds, wonderful bathroom and parking right alongside the property was a bonus. The only slight snag was that on arrival we were told the restaurant was closed due to our not immediately having been able to confirm earlier in the day that we would reserve a table but would need to wait and see before arriving later in the afternoon. So, this was rather disconcerting but no worries - a recommended restaurant in town was superb. Breakfast choice was unbelievable.

The stuff was great and the hotel is in a middle of a forest which is nice. Breakfast is good too. There are several problems: no water pressure and also the water are very hot or cold. Was really unpleasant to have a shower. The room was not clean (dirty floor) and after I complained must say it didn’t change much. There is no normal sidewalk between the buildings and therefore the mud is everywhere. The design and furniture feel ikea’s cheap. Considering also the high price - I do not think I worth a visit.

Decided to spend two days traveling around Cesis with my Mum and booked Superior Deluxe Double Room located at Villa Carola. Hotel is in the nature with trees surrounded which is great for relaxation. Room was large, clean, pretty and felt cosy enough. The only thing I would suggest is to put a small rug in the middle of room or next to bed as it would make room feel cosier. There is not coffee and tea facilities in the room. Only two complimentary water bottles and two chocolate candies with welcome letter. Coffee and tea facilities available at the ground level. Sadly, no milk sachets. Bathroom was beautifully designed. Minimal but stylish. I'm a rain shower lover but this time I did not enjoy due to lack of water pressure or needing a good clean. Breakfast buffet was delicious. I did book a facial for my Mum, and she loved it! I then was invited to join her for a cup of tea downstairs at the SPA area. As restaurant was fully booked for the dinner receptionist recommended the restaurant called "Mango Sky Lounge" in the heart of Cesis. We did not enjoy the food and left disappointed. There are some minuses I would like to mention. Sauna facilities is not included in the room price. Even you will pay a full price of EUR150 for Superior Deluxe room. Windows from outside was very dirty and screamed clean me! Receptionist looked reserved and not willing to chat. Did not even ask how our stay was. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and it is a beautiful place. I would come back if the price would not be so high or at least with sauna facilities included in the price.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, rooms spacious and delightfully decorated. Everything perfect! (Except that the bar tender needs to learn to make a cappuccino from the professional barista machine they have 😜)

Beautiful place with lovely large rooms. Very tastefully decorated. Sound proofing wasn’t great though, earplugs are a must for a good night’s sleep here. Could hear everything from the hallway and restaurant downstairs to our second floor room.
