Vert Lodge Chamonix

Great place to stay, but of a walk from the town

The hotel is responsible price.

Friendly staff, functional rooms and a really nice vibe. If you want to be in a place surrounded by skiers and boarders who really know their stuff then this is the place. Super easy access by bus to Les Houches, Grand Montets and Brévent. I’ll certainly be back.

Lovely friendly staff, great food, brilliant atmosphere, highly recommended. The sticky toffee pudding was absolutely delicious, and we are certainly going back Thank you Vert Lodge, it is a perfect stop off place in beautiful Chamonix

Arrival was a bit weird, it’s self checkin and all info on a piece of paper, would have been nice for a bit of a tour, especially the boot room! Comfortable rooms, but could do with a bit of sound proofing. Breakfast very dismal, but the bar and restaurant are great. Food fantastic and brilliantly looked after by Lydia.

Highly recommend this hotel for the value for money. Paid less than £200 for five nights in the 6 person shared dormitory which was better than expected. Your own private bed space is basically a coffin stacked 2 high but is fine and gives you privacy and you have your own power sockets in there for your phone etc. This dormitory had 1 + 1/2 baths which handy in case someone was taking a shower and you just need to pee - seemed to be cleaned daily! Free breakfast included which was help yourself you had consonants, butter / Jam, also bread and baguettes with meats and cheese in the fridge, also saw cereal! Free / unlimited Coffee from the machine but disappointed.. also seemed to taste like hot chocolate! Restaurant/ bar is nicely done good atmosphere and had the food which was tasty however food and drink as expensive there as is in central Chamonix which the Vert Lodge is not!

Amazing staff, excellent food and a chill vibe all round would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit chamonix, special mentions to Isabelle and Lydia for looking after us , made our family boys trip very memorable and hope we can come back very soon!

We just got back from a weeks stay at Vert lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our time! We were abit dubious after reading some of the reviews but this only worked in their favour as we were then pleasantly surprised. The rooms are fairly basic and there is definitely a hostel vibe to the place but it is exactly what we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a gorgeous view of the Aiguille Di Midi & a little balcony. They had a live band on Saturday night which was obviously loud but it was all done and quiet by 10pm, which is more than reasonable! (we needed to be up at 4am for our flight the next day) so no worries re:noise late at night. They do also provide ear plugs in the rooms! The self service breakfast was ideal every morning as you could just grab what you wanted & the staff worked hard to make sure the area was kept well stocked and clean & tidy. The evening menu is quite diverse and far exceeded our expectations, the chef is seriously talented! We loved the vibe in the bar/restaurant and if we hadn’t have already had other plans most evenings then we would have happily spent more time there. The ski locker was a godsend and lovely to have nice warm boots in the mornings! If you expect 5* luxury then this probably isn’t the place for you, but if you’re after a fun, friendly and most importantly comfortable place to stay then definitely check this place out. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing! We booked on the day we stayed, turned up 20 minutes later and we went to our room which was in the eaves of the building (room 20). We had a stunning view of Mont Blanc which was a joy to look at from our little balcony. Towels and toiletries provided plus a hair dryer, and the shower was wonderful! The restaurant team had launched a new menu that day and we tried 3 different dishes off it, all were delicious. A simple self service continental breakfast was included in the price too. The staff team were brilliant too. For a 2 star lodge it exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend.
