Rowton Poplars Hotel

Ideal place to stay. Location was good for my needs, will definitely be staying again in the future.

Great location about 8mins from the town centre so about £8 Uber to the cinema (Center of town) Over all fantastic only down side was the pillows were abit to hard for me personally & no tea bags in the room only hot chocolate and coffee, sugar, milk ect but no tea bags but can come and go as you please. Food was amazing honestly fantastic highly recommend the pancakes (and bacon trust me!) and the full English. Staff were superb to say the least overall very friendly and helpful with suggestions and remembering our plans and asking about our day showing true care.

Lovely hotel within a pub. We had a ground floor room and although it was close to the car park and the road there wasn't too much noise. Earplugs have been provided. Room small but spotlessly clean. Good shower and fluffy towels. Fantastic staff. Warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Good selection of food for dinner. Well priced and really tasty. Breakfast is not included so it leaves you options from the menu. Full English 10/10. Tea and coffee priced by the cup, maybe an option of refills could be offered. We would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again in the future

Apparently checkbin closes at 8pm so I was already stressed when I arrived with 10 minutes to spare having been stuck in a traffic jam on the M62, losing an hour of time. I was shown to the annex room A1 which was small, but adequate (no desk for business use). Tea and coffee provided and a small TV. Room was freezing cold as the heating would t turn on. 10pm decided to have a shower. No cold water, just scalding water from shower head. Gave up and went to clean my teeth...no cold water, so had to clean my teeth with hot water. This also meant there was no water to flush the toilet either. The ear plugs left by the bed were a tell tale sign of a noisy night, so I popped those in. Bed was comfy enough but I was woken by the bed shaking every time a truck went past and I could still hear traffic despite the ear plugs as the window let's in all the sound. I could also hear every time someone used the outside door as it banged. I have had an apology from the hotel for the water as apparently someone turned off the cold water to the room while plumbing work was done and it wasn't turned back on, but it doesn't help that during a business trip I couldn't shower. I won't be using them again sadly.

Only stayed for one night but was really happy with the stay. Nice clean room with own access to outside and car park. Hotel is close to a main road which was quiet overnight so not an issue. Evening meal and breakfast were good and reasonably priced.

Our stay was really good - friendly staff, comfortable clean room, good breakfast options if you so wished and the same evening meals in the bar. They had a great handle on the locals too, with a Sunday breakfast club and a take away/delivery food option. Classy decor, well thought out and everything (including the rooms) reasonably priced.The only gripe I had (and specific to me and my asthma) was the plug in air freshener in the room. Removed it at once, but the residual scent bothered my lungs, even with the windows open. I know that sounds petty but if anyone is booking with a similar issue, maybe pop that in as a special request when booking (hence the slightly lower comfort rating)! Would absolutely recommend this hotel - nice atmosphere and all the staff are really relaxed and efficient, which means they are happy in their work - well done all!

Requested quiet room and got perfect room 5 at the rear , 2 flights of stairs up , with lovely views . Friendly helpful staff. Delicious meal at on site restaurant
