I visited the Warwick Allerton with a group of friends over a three night stay. The hotel is older, in the midst of a remodel. Our room was fine, appeared to be remodeled. It was clean, comfortable bed and furniture. Housekeeping had to be scheduled and we ran out of toilet paper before the scheduled service. Additionally our wifi was continually disconnecting. Alicia from the front desk offered to come up to our room, reset our wifi and delivered 2 rolls of toilet paper. She arrived within minutes of me talking to her. She was friendly and very helpful. The hotel charges a $15.00 daily service fee. The restaurant was closed for remodeling and there was no food on the premises. There may have been a gym, which we did not use. I fail to see the benefits of the facility fee and would rather just have the room charge be higher if the hotel needs to make a higher profit on the rooms. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. The valet service was also efficient.

Three adults Stayed for one night in a studio with 2 Queens. Location was great! Room was located on 8th floor facing Erie. Had a view of the Nike and Ferragamo stores and Ritz Carlton Residences on Michigan Ave. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Modern amenities and very clean. Front desk staff in first floor lobby was very nice and friendly. Free breakfast with a view from the 20th floor was good. Did not utilize valet parking at $75. Used SpotHero in a self parking garage one block away for $30

The experience from check-in to check-out was superb. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect because it is the heart of everything on Michigan Avenue! When we walked out of the hotel, shopping and restaurants were all around! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I am a guest of your's. I am very happy here. I sing highly of your service. First of all, the hotel is so beautiful. It looks like a garden. I enjoy it. Then, foods are delicious and some of them are amazing. Most important reason is that the bed is so big and soft that I don't want to get up every morning. It's wonderful here. I can't believe it that I must leave. I want to live here again if I come to this city again.Thank you.Sincerely yours a guest.

First time in Chicago so didn't know where to stay, luckily I found this hotel and it was very nice, hotel rooms are nicely decorated and clean, took a while to figure out where coffee machine was but found it in the end, only blemish was one set of elevator was not functional but there was no notice posted. It's not that difficult to post notice on the tenth floor was it? But all in all, a pleasant stay and a great location with nice restaurants around hotel, definitely will come again.

My husband and I and my sister all stayed at the Peninsula Hotel . This hotel is amazing. The rooms are pristine and comfortable. The dining was out of this world! We LOVED the Chinese Restaurant in the hotel. The food was perfect and the service wonderful. We also enjoyed a late meal in the lobby. We all had the Ahi Tuna appetizer and a salad before our main course. We were so full that we had to cancel our main meal orders! Everything was elegant, delicious and relaxed. We will stay there the next time we are in Chicago ( soon)! Our thank you’d to everyone working there. The Peninsula staff were all friendly and helpful!

I was here for a business meeting so I did not get a chance to do any sight seeing, but the hotel is in a great location and easy to get to from the airport. My room was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. The food was very good and so was their coffee. But best of all were the team members who work here. Everyone was extremely nice and knowledgeable and gave me some good tips when I had questions (ex.: like what time to leave the hotel to catch my flight back). I would stay here again for vacation or business!!

My family and I arrived around 330AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning.
Service: 4/5
The Night staff was awesome, hospitality was IMPECCABLE! From the receptionist , bellhop helper, security, you name it! I wish I could remember their names but the receptionist was a young African American male about early-mid 20s! The morning crew and afternoon crew need some pointers from the night shift staff because they need some work.
Rooms: 3/5
Our room had 2 full size beds, they were nice and spacious for all 4 of us (3 adults & 1 child). No microwave was an inconvenience but it wasn’t too big of a deal since our short was stay.
Overall I would rate our stay a 4/5 (Would have been 3.5/5 had it not been for the service we experienced when checking in.

LLiannengchimeLocated in the center of Chicago, you can reach Lake Michigan in a few minutes' walk. There are business districts around, where you can go shopping and eat. It is very suitable for strolling in the city center🚶♀️

This is a pleasant, modern and airy hotel in downtown Chicago. We enjoyed our stay very much, but didn't eat in the hotel (apart from one snack in the bar), so I can't comment on the cuisine. The room was a good size, spacious and comfortable, with an excellent modern en-suite shower and toilet. The bed was large and very comfortable and every night afforded us a good night's sleep. What was particularly notable was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, in particular the concierge (Ramon), who guided us through the available sights and eateries in Chicago, which saved us considerable time in research. Chicago is a fascinating city, with all the modernity and dynamism of Manhattan, but without the grit or the slightly abraisive denizens of that island. We found all Chigacoans we encountered to be pleasant and engaging. However, Chicago is built on two levels, the lower level being under all the main roads that are elevated and therefore walking anywhere in the lower section is far less pleasant than on the upper section. I mention this because the main entrance to the Gwen hotel is on the lower level so when you exit onto the street it's advisable to climb the stairs around the corner to go up to 'street level'. Also, if you're not going to the hotel by taxi but by public transport (as we did) you'll have to carry your luggage down the stairs from the upper level where the bus stops. Additionally, the arrangement of the lifts in the hotel is a little irritating (and confusing to start with) because the lift from the main entrance doesn't go to the levels where the bedrooms are. The main reception is on the fifth floor so you have to go to reception and then walk to another bank of lifts that take you onward to the bedrooms and conference rooms. The Gwen seems to be a business hotel first and foremost and so there is a lot of activity and many people in the building for conferences and exhibitions. The terrace area by the bar affords a pleasant view of the cityscape, but there are two huge TV screens that perpetually show sport, so many of the guests on the terrace are there to watch a game. However it seems that there is no public place in Chicago that doesn't have TV screens on all the time, showing sport (the city seems to be obsessed with sport). Every restaurant we went to had multiple screens on, even high-end establishments. To a Brit this is weird because its only pubs and bars in my country that have these intrusive, mind-numbing displays. We enjoyed our stay at the Gwen and can recommend it for a pleasant stay as a tourist. its location is good for reaching many parts of the city and public transport is cheap and extensive. If we return to Chicago we will definitely book to stay there again.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, close to the gorgeous mile, 5 minutes walk from Mies designed Lakeside Building. Surrounded by high-end communities, parking buildings can be booked, good security in the area, no insecurity at 21:00 night. Good attitude at the front desk and good service. The room is compact and the space is reasonable, with separate living room, bedroom, cloakroom, bathroom. It is very practical to bring a mini sink bar. Overall praise, worth staying!

张张In Ctrip, I booked two big bed rooms. As a result, the hotel was told that there was only one big bed room. The hotel manager explained that Ctrip did not specify the specific room type when ordering. The online contact customer service Ctrip has been procrastinating, resulting in 184cm son in Canada. The small bed lay down for two nights. Once again, I will appreciate Ctrip's super service and go to Ctrip.

GGuest UserI don't even know where to start here. So, I came up with my parents as my mother was having surgery at Northwestern. I called the hotel directly and asked if they had a patient rate for the days we were goint to be there and I was told yes. It was a great patient rate, so I booked one room for my parents with the patient rate, and one room for myself at full rate. I also had other family that came up and booked their own rooms as full rate. Our family had 5 rooms in total. Once I arrived, I pulled up to the hotel and there was no valet in site. I dropped my parents off, proceeded to unload the car and went to check in. I was going to just valet park for the night and I told the person checking us in that there was not a valet outside. She looked out and said ”yes he is right there”. He was sitting at a table smoking and talking to someone. She called him to come in and he asked me if I needed a cart. I said ”I did about 10 minutes ago”. I checked my parents into the patient room and then I checked into mine. The hotel itself is fine but in no way justifies the price tag AT ALL. Nothing special. I knew house keeping was every other day and on day 4 I called down to the front desk and let them know that housekeeping had never come to my room. She looked it up and she said ”I have actually never seen this before. It says that house keeping was requested not to come and that they were supposed to just do a wellness check”. I have no idea what that means either and it certainly was not requested by me. I told her I was going to the hospital and that to please send them to my room as the garbage needed changed, bedding needed changed and I was was out of towels. I went to the hospital and went into my room and is all housekeeping did was dump a bunch of towels on the bed. NOTHING ELSE. So, next day was check out day for my parents room. I was staying anther day. I went down to check out of my parents room and guess what? On my parents bill they only gave them the patient rate for 1 night! The whole reason why we picked this hotel was so that it would not be a finanacial burden for my parents. I told them at the front desk that when I booked the room over a month ago, that rate was available for all 5 nights. A ”manager” came from the back and told me ”sorry it's not available”. I said that makes no sense. I called probably 30 hotels and some had the rate only for a couple of days, some hotels did not have it available at all so I did not book there. He said ”we only get 20 rooms at that rate”. I said I understood that but when I booked the rate a month ago I was one of those 20 rooms. He then asked who I had booked with. I booked directly through the hotel. He said ”no the employee”. I told him I had no idea but I could tell him the date I booked and I also had the confirmation number. He said ” I cannot tell by that.” He said there was nothing he could do and I would have to talk to R

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent, one step away from Mies' lakeside apartment, very suitable for construction lovers. The overall price/performance ratio of the room is high, clean and hygienic, and the facilities are complete, suitable for families and children. The parking lot around the weekend will be tight, it is recommended to book in advance ~.

GGuest UserWe stayed at ES mag mile in October. There were 2 couples and since we arrived early morning I called ahead and paid 35$ to have a early check in in one of our rooms. Only one was available for that. We appreciated being able to leave our luggage, freshen up and do a little exploring. I have to say we were only able to do one complimentary morning breakfast since it ended at 9:30. It was fine and a basic breakfast. We did not have to wait long and there was seating. The evening social was pretty sp**** and really no more than salsa, chips and a few veggie sticks. Our room was dated but we had a comfortable bed and a pretty good view of the river from the 11th floor. Water pressure was low and the bathroom lighting was very dim. I did makeup in the room window for light. Overall the room was clean and mostly quiet( noisy neighbor) and we rested well. People were nice and as helpful as possible.
