Excellent hotel, everything is perfect about this hotel. Excellent service from the reception and housekeeping staff. The room was excellent and extremely clean, very modern and big. Location-wise, it is excellent as it is only a 5-minute drive from Datong Railway Station. Breakfast was also amazing with a wide variety and high standard for a very reasonable price. Definitely will choose this hotel again if I am coming back to Datong.

When our booked room wasn't ready before noon, they surprised us with a complimentary upgrade so we could check in immediately, which was a fantastic touch. Our room was spotless, with fresh sheets and towels. We also loved the buffet breakfast, which offered a great variety of both Chinese and international dishes. As a bonus, the free self-service laundry facilities were extremely helpful.”

The new Holiday Inn was truly amazing! The staff were all very professional and attentive. Special thanks to Manager Zhao Jie for arranging a room upgrade in advance and providing airport transfer service afterwards. The rooms were also very clean. The breakfast, including freshly made wontons, noodles, and fruit, was excellent. The Chinese restaurant was also reasonably priced and served both lunch and dinner. As for the hotel's location, it's in a local residential area with small and medium-sized supermarkets and plenty of barbecue restaurants nearby. It's about 3 kilometers from Datong Ancient City, making it easy to call a ride-hailing service.

A very satisfying trip. Environment: Quiet and comfortable, with a fountain and swings in front. Cleanliness: There are no hotels in the ancient city, only inns, which are not very clean. Hotels with children should be much cleaner and tidier. Service: Excellent. Seeing that I was traveling with two children, they upgraded me to a family room free of charge and even gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was also very varied. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a pick-up service from the station. Highly recommended!

My stay at Yunzhong Chaoran Pavilion (Qiuguo Hotel) was extremely satisfying! 👍 This newly renovated hotel boasts impressive, grand solid wood furniture. It's spotlessly clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hotel offers its own underground parking (just turn right after Fuyuan Restaurant to enter the garage), which was incredibly convenient. It's about a 7-minute walk to the ancient city's commercial street, yet the hotel itself is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The ambiance is beautifully characteristic of Shanxi, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied – I even took a few photos! I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Datong!

The hotel is novel, the room has a smart butler, can operate the facilities in the room through voice control, the room is spacious, the lower floor is the living room, the upper floor is a twin bed, there is a toilet on the lower floor, there is another toilet on the upper floor plus bathroom, the upper bathroom is super large and super new! The front desk staff is enthusiastic and patient, assisting passengers to solve problems, it is recommended! The only downside is that there is no special restaurant. Although there is breakfast, breakfast is bread and milk coffee. There is no bread when I go at 8 o'clock.

The fitness center was also brand new, and the overall experience was fantastic. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in the area!

Environment: I was originally going to stay at Hampton when I traveled to Datong, but Hampton was fully booked every day and I couldn't book it. Then I searched and carefully selected this Mercure. It is next to the shopping mall, and it is super convenient to eat and drink takeout. It is also very close to Fantawild Ancient City. The price is more practical than Hampton, and it is not a pitfall at all. The hardware and software facilities, service and breakfast are all very good. When checking in at the lobby, children can stamp the combination seal, which is very interesting and beautiful. Originally, I was going to stay for one day and go somewhere else the next day. Later, because I didn't leave at Fantawild too late, I extended it for another day. After returning, I took the initiative to upgrade the room. The breakfast is delicious. I eat with my children every morning and feel satisfied. I go out to play with full energy. I will stay at Mercure next time I come to Datong. I am so satisfied!
