Along the way from Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La, and Yubeng, my sister’s home has the most complete environment and room facilities. Moreover, her family is very hospitable and the food they cook is very delicious. From Ninong to Ci During the trip to Nanjieluo and back to Shangri-La, my sister immediately helped contact the guide and driver. On the way to Nanjieluo, she also enthusiastically cared about the arrival situation. It is very suitable as a transfer station to Nanjieluo because of the time. This trip to Nanjieluo only went to Lakes 1-9 of the Grand Ring Road. Next time I go to Lakes 10-12, I will continue to choose Ajie’s house. Shengjing Yiju is really worth recommending! ! !

This is honestly one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed in within China. The owner is one of the most genuine and nicest ladies I’ve ever met. I would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel is new. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious and has all the amenities. The design and styling is also very cool. The proprietress will also cook very delicious meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is also very close to the Catholic Church.
I will stay here every time I return to Cizhong.

The environment of the homestay is very clean. It is the first time I came here. The location is also very good. The car can be driven directly to the door. There is a parking lot. First of all, the hotel environment and facilities are very good, very new (opened this year), the facilities are also very complete, very clean (catch up with the star hotel we stayed in Macau). The key is that the boss and the couple are super enthusiastic. When we arrive at the hotel at night, we will help us with our luggage, and then let us go to the living room to taste their own rose honey wine. It is super delicious. Accepts foreigners. Great welcome. I was given a room in their newer hotel which is fantastic. Right next to the church. Some rooms even overlooking the vineyard. You can buy local wine right next door. Unfortunately a lot of Cizhong is full of construction. But the hotel was in a quieter part.

The boss was very warm. When we arrived, the weather was cold. The boss had already ordered the stove in the restaurant to let us go in and warm up. The next morning, we prepared breakfast in advance. The hotel location is also close to the church. It is very convenient to eat.

The hotel is quite new, close to Yanmen Bridge, there is a supermarket downstairs, it is very convenient to drive by car. The room is very large, the decoration is beautiful, and the river has a wide view and the scenery is excellent. Family hotel, no one at the front desk in the morning, we rushed out and took two bottles of water. When we came back, we told the boss that it was okay and the money was confiscated. The bathroom was separated from wet and dry. The biggest failure was that the wash basin faucet was too difficult to use. It was recommended to change it. Others are quite satisfied.

MmailcoThe hotel is in a good location. I originally wanted to stay in the first store, which is under renovation. There are many guests in the second store. Generally speaking, the service is quite different from that of Wunongding. A good luxury resort hotel depends on whether the staff treats guests from the heart. There is no refrigerator in the room. Although the drinks are placed in the public area, it always feels a bit strange. Most people who come to Yubeng come to hike. I heard the foot bath bucket from the table next to me when I was having dinner. I clearly told the housekeeper that I had walked for nine hours that day, but I didn’t see it mentioned. Of course, it was delivered quickly after I asked. The hotel provides cleaning and shoe brushing services, and provides a lot of hiking equipment rental.
The lack of service lies in how to serve guests at this price, whether the smile is from the heart, and whether to think about the problem from the customer's perspective.
During the meal in the restaurant, the guests at the next table wanted to add a dish of hot sauce. The waiter directly replied that the kitchen was off work. There was no way. I was stunned. As long as the guests are still in the restaurant, they don’t have to cook a new dish. Praise the service staff of the bar on the third floor, they are still very enthusiastic. I really recommend learning about the service of the company. Design and hardware are important, but service is the real soft power. It is irreplaceable.

There are many home stays nearby that offers the same Mountain View. We paid a premium to stay here, not only for the Mountain View, but also for the supposed services and daily activities that the hotel advertised on social media.
Unfortunately the service level is almost non existent, the breakfast area is easily overpacked. The staffs even asked me to share a four people table with a couple during breakfast. I am not paying USD500 per night so I can share a dining table with strangers with no privacy.
We joined the sound healing experience which was held at 9pm (on the contrary to most other sound healing experiences I had, which is usually in the morning). The sound healing experience was held in the meditation room, which is located right above the Bar. Naturally, during the sound healing experience I heard mostly loud speakers playing APT and other loud music, with some light bowl singing sound.
The dinner was the worst I have had during my 9 days trip in Yunnan. The afternoon tea on level 5 (Bar area) was strangely arranged with all guests cramped next to each other and hunched over the low table where snacks are placed.
The hotel claims to have the top hotel room design and provides top end appliances in all the rooms, including HERMES toiletries, a B&O speaker, and Dyson hairdryer. The staffs introduced the room with great enthusiasm and pride on the small design details.
Although, after 2nights in the hotel, I left feeling the hotel is nothing but an empty shell with no soul.
I will not come back to this hotel again

GGlobetrotter & HikerWe highly recommend staying in Yolo Guesthouse if you are staying overnight at Upper Yubeng Village. The owner and staff of the guesthouse was very friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay.
We connected through WeChat prior to arrival and liaised with the guesthouse for transport from Lower Yubeng to upper Yubeng. The transport was included in the reservation. On arrival in the afternoon, the staff introduced and escorted us to a nearby restaurant for lunch even though it was drizzling.
The guesthouse is strategically located to have views of the valley downstream and upstream. The building structure is sturdy and well designed compared to many other accommodations in the villages. The interior of the room and the rooftop coffee bar is beautifully designed and clean. They also have Dyson hairdryer and Smeg electric kettle. Coffee at the rooftop bar was decent but it was accompanied by amazing views of the valley. We were the only ones at the rooftop bar after check in and we also had their in-house hotpot at night which we enjoyed.
Prior to departing for our day hike (Glacier lake from Upper Yubeng Village) the next day, the guesthouse even provided hiking poles, crampons, bottled water, Red Bull canned drinks and a homely ham and egg sandwich. We were also allowed to leave our bags stored with them as we had to check out in the late afternoon after returning from the hike. After checkout, the guesthouse also helped to call a vehicle to transport us down to lower Yubeng village.
We wished we had stayed here longer throughout our trip to Yubeng. We felt very welcomed and had a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

GGuest UserThis hotel in Feilai Temple has just opened. The lady also upgraded our room type. The decoration is very simple and beautiful! You can see Baima Snow Mountain from the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The boss will also pick you up and take you to the bus stop. It takes about 2-3 minutes to drive, which is very close! According to the sunrise time, tourists will also be sent to the Feilai Temple viewing point in the morning to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. It is very nice and the drive takes about 5 minutes. I was lucky to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain! The starry sky at night is also very beautiful~ A very well-received hotel, the only drawback is that the breakfast variety is a bit small~

AAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!

LLandaofoshanyuxuanjiAfter a long time of choosing hotels in Feilai Temple, I finally decided on this one. The reason for choosing it was that it was newly renovated and the owner was changed. The owner was very nice. After arriving at the store, the owner was really enthusiastic. He introduced the use of the floor heating oxygen machine, the sunrise time of the next morning, the location of the viewing platform, and sent good night milk in the evening. Nice! The window opened to see a huge snow-capped mountain. You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room!

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as “Mountain View” but in fact you’re in a covered area so won’t really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international traveler’s that don’t speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. We’ve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasn’t there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers don’t do a good job when he is not around. The workers didn’t advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at “meets meili snow mountain” for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didn’t look in good condition and weren’t tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If you’re an international traveller and don’t speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, there’s many more options at “meets meili snow mountain”.

[The first good review is for the beautiful and gentle hotel housekeeper] From the moment we checked in, the hotel housekeeper (should be the hotel housekeeper hehe) received us very warmly and introduced the hotel facilities to us in detail. Knowing that we would return to the hotel after five o'clock, she turned on the floor heating for us in advance and pushed us a guide to play; at night, when she heard us singing the birthday song in the room, the lady brought us Coke, which was touching ❤️; the next day, the lady asked me in advance when I would leave and gave each of us a lucky knot.
[The second good review is for the hotel] In the winter of Yubeng, it is a very happy thing to live in a hotel with sufficient heating and excellent views. The hotel has sufficient floor heating, electric blankets, and complete warm air facilities in the bathroom. In addition, there is a shoe dryer, and the hotel also provides free foot soaking service. The window of our room faces the snow-capped mountains. At night, we curl up in bed and watch movies. In the morning, we wake up under the snow-capped mountains and are awakened by the snow-capped mountains. Downstairs of the hotel is the grassy plain of Yubeng. Watching the sun slanting and the vast smoke of mulberry trees, all of this will become a beautiful memory of our lives.
This time, in Yubeng, I met warm people and a warm hotel.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us).
We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)
