GGuest UserFirst off, I really loved the room's layout and decor. It came with underfloor heating and oxygen supply, which was a nice touch. The common areas were also very cozy and inviting.
Secondly, the service was excellent! Every staff member was kind, thoughtful, and proactive in resolving any issues. They offer a lovely afternoon tea on the 5th floor, and breakfast was plentiful.
The biggest highlight is being able to see the snow-capped mountains right from your bed. You can also capture the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' phenomenon from the 5th-floor terrace, where they have plenty of tripods ready for use.
It's about a 30-minute drive to Feilai Temple, passing through Deqin County.
I usually don't leave reviews, but I had to for this one because I really enjoyed it and wanted to provide a reference for future travelers.

JJiepipi .The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. The 24-hour hot water and separate wet and dry areas were fantastic. The hotel thoughtfully provided local seasonal fruits and snacks in the lobby for guests to help themselves. It was my first time trying Naxi apples, and they were delicious! The sunlight streaming into the hotel restaurant and kitchen made breakfast feel warm and cozy. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including corn buns, rice noodles, and unique fried barley pastries. The owners were very welcoming; they answered all my questions about Shangri-La and provided information on nearby attractions and routes. I stayed for three nights! Also, Benzilan is located in a valley at a low altitude, with a cool and comfortable climate.

HHuoxiniI planned a trip specifically because I had this hotel, designed by Wu Bin, saved in my favorites. The moment I saw the snow-capped mountains, it was all worth it – the combination of Meili Bo Duo and the 'golden mountain bathed in sunlight' is just perfect!
Even the most basic courtyard rooms offer a glimpse of the snowy peaks, and there are plenty of spots in the public areas with even more breathtaking views and fewer crowds.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the thoughtful evening dessert was a lovely surprise – the butler quietly brought it to my room when I was out, which was both unexpected and heartwarming.
Moreover, the hotel offers many activities. I participated in Thangka painting and making ******* incense bags, which were excellent. Upon check-out, the butler even gave me a gift of soap and a prayer wheel.
All in all, to find a hotel like this at an altitude of 3500 meters where you can simply relax and gaze at the snow-capped mountains, I personally feel it was well worth the price.

PparaworldThe room was spotless, and the 1.2-meter single bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options. The hotel staff were all warm and professional. The staff on the 4th-floor viewing platform, in particular, were outstanding; they taught us how to capture beautiful photos of the scenery. The butler service group was incredibly responsive. The hotel is located near the Wunongding viewing platform, so you don't have to brave the early morning cold to see Meili Snow Mountain; you can see it directly from the 4th floor. We were so lucky this time, from January 25th to 27th, we saw the breathtaking 'Sunrise over Golden Mountain' (Rizhao Jinshan) of Meili Snow Mountain for two days, as well as the 'Sunset over Silver Mountain' on the first day. The two documentaries shown at night, ”Kawa Karpo” and ”The Salt Road,” were fascinating. The small gift we received upon check-out was lovely.
However, the dinner selection was uninspiring, and the portions were small. For instance, the stir-fried Pipa pork with matsutake had very little meat and mushrooms, but a lot of green onions. I hope they can improve this aspect!

GGuest UserFirst off, I have to say, this guesthouse is destined to be a hit! I'd been planning my trip to Meili Snow Mountain for a long time, did a lot of research, and ultimately decided to stay in Feilai Peak.
There were quite a few hotel and guesthouse options around Feilai Peak, but I eventually settled on this guesthouse with zero negative reviews.
1. **Transportation:** The guesthouse is less than a 10-minute walk from the Feilai Peak parking lot. The national highway is now fully paved, making it an easy walk. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the Feilai Peak observation deck, where you can see the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' phenomenon – very convenient.
2. **Facilities:** The room facilities are brand new because it's a recently opened establishment. They are very modern, with oxygen supply, electric blankets, heaters, and heated toilet seats, all readily available. I was truly surprised by how advanced everything was.
3. **Food:** We weren't arriving at the guesthouse until almost 10 PM, and I was initially wondering how we'd get dinner. To my surprise, the guesthouse offers a variety of meals, and the selection is very rich. Guests even get a 15% discount, and the owner personally delivered our food to the room. The taste was excellent!
4. **Personal Touch:** The main reason I'd recommend everyone stay here is the incredible hospitality from the owners. From the moment we checked in, the proprietress informed us of the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' viewing times, helped us with our luggage and storing our suitcases, and even turned on the oxygen and electric blankets in our room. Because we spent a bit longer admiring the snow mountains the next day, the proprietress patiently waited for us to return and prepared a lavish rice noodle breakfast, complete with eggs, hot soy milk, and fruit. It was incredibly thoughtful and touching.
Finally, I want to say that travel isn't just about enjoying beautiful scenery; it's also about experiencing the local culture and people. From the owners, I felt their warmth, kindness, and attentiveness. At this price, not only is the accommodation great value for money, but the human touch is truly priceless. I wish the owners all the best!

GGuest UserI just randomly picked this hotel, but it completely exceeded my expectations! Opening the window revealed a stunning view of snow-capped mountains and a sea of clouds – the romantic snowy scenery was just breathtaking. The room was cozy and clean, with plenty of oxygen, so I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. Just sitting on the balcony quietly watching the snow was so therapeutic and lovely. The service was incredibly attentive, and even though it's located at high altitude, the stay was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThe hotel is super close to the observation deck, about a 3-minute walk away. What really stood out was how incredibly clean and cozy the room was. You could tell the hotel owner had turned on the underfloor heating beforehand because it was wonderfully warm when I walked in. The disposable toiletries were also really comprehensive and high-end, especially the toothbrush. It's rare for a hotel to even provide mouthwash! The oxygen supply equipment was also excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, this hotel is definitely worth recommending – it's fantastic!

AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

The underfloor heating and diffused oxygen supply meant we didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. The staff were warm and friendly! There's also a cafe and an observation deck on the top floor where you can see Baima Snow Mountain and Feilai Temple. The afternoon sun was perfect for photos, and the scenery was absolutely stunning!
The hotel's location isn't far from the Meili Snow Mountain observation deck, so transportation is very convenient. There's a snack street near the Feilai Temple observation deck, and watching the snow-capped mountains in the evening is beautiful—highly recommended! The hotel's restaurant is on the first floor, which is super convenient if you don't feel like going out in the cold.

You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room, especially the terrace on the third floor which is particularly photogenic against the backdrop of the Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel service is also in place and is worth recommending.
