We stayed here for three consecutive nights; we originally only booked one, but the accommodation exceeded our expectations, so we ended up staying all three days in Yubeng. ”Weimapichai” might sound a bit strange, but it's actually a newly opened inn in 2024. The owner, a Hunanese woman, constantly calls me ”baby” and ”Auntie” over the phone, making us all laugh and cry when I, a man in my late 50s, appeared before her. The inn is new and very nice, a bit pricey, but I think it's well worth it. We upgraded from the first floor to a second-floor room, which was spotless, clean, spacious, and bright. It even had a smart toilet and a window-side bathtub. The large floor-to-ceiling windows faced the stunning views of Mencimu Goddess Peak and Five Crowns Peak to the left, and Bau Bameng General Peak to the right. The inn has two dogs and four cats. While we waited for dinner downstairs, we watched the two dogs running around and playing in the yard. Suddenly, a naive little kitten, about two months old, appeared, completely captivating. The Hunan rice noodles for breakfast were delicious. The only downside might be that it's a bit far from the center of Shangyubeng Village (where you'll find supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, etc.), but isn't the whole point of Yubeng to hike? A few extra steps won't be a problem.

SSU KINGA Truly Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended!
This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in China. The room was incredibly spacious, and the hospitality from the reception team was outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
One of the highlights is the Wunongding Observation Deck, located right in front of the hotel — offering breathtaking views just steps from our door.
The hotel also provides complimentary afternoon tea via room service, beautifully presented and served by a polite and gracious young lady, 达瓦取宗. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very pampered.
In the evening, we enjoyed red wine and biscuits at the rooftop bar, where we had a delightful experience hosted by Mr. 唐浩东. The atmosphere, views, and service combined to create a memorable night.
During check-out, my brother was feeling unwell due to the high altitude. A kind staff member named 挣白 prepared a special tea for us to help ease the symptoms. His thoughtfulness and care truly touched us and made a noticeable difference.
Every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and warm. We felt cared for every moment of our stay.
If we ever have the chance, we would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!

LLiangjiangyichengBenzilan, a traditional transit and supply point in Meili Snow Mountain, boasts numerous hotels, guesthouses, and delicious restaurants. This particular establishment was our choice after careful comparison. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful, and the owner was warm and welcoming. There was also a huge laundry and drying platform (see picture four), making it a great place to rest and relax during your trip. Highly recommended!

Meili Snow Mountain was the final stop on our Yunnan itinerary. I was quite hesitant because it's notoriously difficult to see the snow peaks, let alone the spectacular 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' during the rainy season. However, after stumbling upon an introduction to BoDu, I was completely captivated. So, I decided to take a chance and hoped for the best.
The incredibly friendly staff, the understated yet luxurious design, the ingenious layout offering stunning mountain views from every corner, the comfortable rooms, and the thoughtful amenities – everything was just perfect. Even more incredibly, we not only witnessed the majestic Thirteen Peaks of Meili but also experienced the long-anticipated 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise.' It truly felt like destiny! 😄

The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable.
This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. I look forward not only to my next visit, but also with great anticipation to discovering their new estate in 雨棚, which I’m sure will be equally enchanting.

AAnonymous UserI rarely write a review on my own accord but I'm reviewing on the bus back because I was quite impressed with this hotel.
The staff was very kind to offer free cancellation for the next day when i reached out via wechat and told him i was a little unwell and may not be able to stay, even though it wasn't free cancellation by default.
I recovered the next day and decided to still book a night with them. When I reached, the staff offered a free upgrade (same room style but with a bathtub and 1 level higher than what I paid for). They will pick you up and drop you off at the bus pickup point which is otherwise at least 6 mins walk away from hotel. There are lots of young staff working and everyone is polite.
The dinner in the restaurant is a little expensive but decent (we are 2 small eater so we went for the 198yuan 1-person set - the tomyam soup was good!).
There is a small fireworks show at 7.40pm everyday. There are 3 cute dogs in the hotel. The breakfast is a good spread and the afternoon tea was decent too.
When you're here, remember to walk the left of feilaisi observation deck towards all the colourful flags. Just 2 minutes walk and you will get really nice photo of the 神女峰 which i shared here. Many people do not know of this spot. Put 3号观景台 in your GPS which is a further 15 mins walk and you get a really good photo of the main peak.
It is extremely important to use moutain forecast to check the weather at 3000m and only come here when it's not cloudy. Our forecast the next morning was ”some clouds” and it's good enough -saw a little bit of 日照金山 but indeed the sky was generally clear like the forecast. You can see sunrise at level 5 observation deck of the hotel and do not need to squeeze with the crowd at feilaisi 观景台.
For comparison purpose I attach a photo on a ”rain showers” forecast which is my day of arrival and you really cannot see much. So you must check the forecast before coming.
Even though the hotel is a little expensive (I paid sgd171), I think the awesome location, decent hotel condition and all the freebies and good service made up for it.

11398730****Facing directly towards Meili Snow Mountain, the view from the window is absolutely stunning. Sitting on the windowsill, you can witness the snow-capped mountains, sea of clouds, sunrise, and sunset all unfolding in turn – the view is expansive and unobstructed, every snapshot a masterpiece.
The receptionist kindly helped with my luggage, and the afternoon tea was plentiful. Enjoying fruit and tea while gazing at the ever-changing light and shadow on the snow-capped mountains from the viewing platform – this is what a vacation should be!
Mid-August evenings can be a bit chilly, but the room has underfloor heating and electric blankets, keeping the room and bed warm and cozy. The hotel offers lunch and dinner.
Taking photos from the foggy rooftop and the hotel's panoramic window – the best photos of the year to share on social media! Highly recommended for all snow-capped mountain chasers!
(Tip: Remember to bring a telephoto lens and tripod!)

LLIBBYWINDHaving seen this guesthouse highly recommended online with excellent reviews, we decided to book it. We arrived quite late, but the owner himself greeted us. He mentioned a family room was coincidentally available and upgraded us. Seeing there were three of us, he even offered an extra breakfast, ensuring we'd be well-fed and comfortable. So thoughtful! My daughter even commented on how refined and gentlemanly the owner is.
Despite being established 20 years ago, it's been renovated and doesn't show its age. The guesthouse is exceptionally well-equipped: plenty of power outlets, a LIFAV hairdryer, numerous hangers, and even a dedicated clothesline. They also provide a Bear humidifier, oxygen concentrator, oximeter, quality tissues (Qingfeng), and surprisingly, even nail clippers, an electric blanket, and spare quilts. Mineral water bottles are freely available on a corridor table. The owner's thoughtfulness is truly outstanding.
My favorite feature was the room's balcony, which directly faced the snow-capped mountains. We could watch the magnificent 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' (sunrise over the snow peaks) from there, and there's also a rooftop viewing area. Unfortunately, it rained that day, so we only saw clouds.
The female staff member was diligent and polite. The guesthouse offers a Continental breakfast, one portion per person, which was very filling, although the bacon was a bit too salty. As breakfast time was nearing its end, the staff member would kindly call guests who hadn't eaten yet to ask if they still wanted breakfast – a very thoughtful gesture. However, receiving a call at 11:30 AM to remind us about the 12 PM check-out felt a bit premature. It would be better to call guests after 12 PM.
The guesthouse is located by the roadside, so it can get a bit noisy when large trucks pass by. However, it didn't disturb our rest at all; we slept very soundly. When we checked out, the landlady and staff proactively helped us with our luggage.
The owner's family runs the guesthouse with great dedication, always polite and considering things from the guests' perspective. Service is their top priority, and they use high-quality, branded products. Wishing the owner a prosperous business! We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Meili Snow Mountain.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. Although there's no snow mountain view, it offers great value for the price. It's also conveniently located close to the transportation pick-up point.

Let me start with the environment. The cabin has a skylight. Lying in bed at night and watching the stars is so romantic that it satisfies my childhood fantasy. You can see the Goddess Peak of Meili Snow Mountain from the courtyard. You can watch the stars in the courtyard at night.
Let's talk about the sanitation and facilities. It is very clean, the whole house is smart, and the facilities are very new.
Finally, the service is very enthusiastic. The eldest brother doesn't talk much, but he always responds to requests; the eldest sister loves to chat, very enthusiastic, and makes people feel particularly kind; the younger sister is also very thoughtful, and she recommends routes and sunrise times without getting tired of it.
Next time I come to see the snow mountain, I will definitely come to this B&B again.

QqnrichUpon arrival, a friendly staff member immediately helped us with our luggage. She was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions, and personally showed us to our room. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. She also took the time to thoroughly explain how to use the in-room oxygen system. We had a really great experience. While breakfast was a set meal, it was simple yet nutritious. The hotel is also conveniently located quite close to the viewing platform.
