The Lodge was having one of the two elevators worked on. 8am they started to jack hammer right by our room. As we were using other elevator concrete peices fell into our elevator striking my wife in the head. Staff said they were sorry. It just started today.

We chose this hotel to see doctors at Duke University. The location was perfect. The hotel offered shuttle rides to and from the clinic.
The driver was very courteous and so was the hotel staff. Rooms were nice, new and very clean.

Great place to stay near Duke University Hospital. Immaculate, very comfortable, and lovely staff. Easy parking and 1 block walk to the hospital.

The rooms were clean with all the modern amenities you’d expect. Beds were comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Staff was friendly. Hotel was close to Duke University and right across the street from the VA Hospital and the Duke Medical Center.
My only complaints were the very low water pressure in the shower and the fact that we could hear everything the people in the adjoining room said or did (and they weren’t being loud). We had one of those rooms with a connecting door and there clearly was absolutely no insulation in that door to keep the sound out. We could not hear any noise in the room on the other side of us, so it seems like the problem was the connecting door.

Proximity to Duke is the chief recommendation of this hotel, but it is very comfortable and the staff is extremely helpful and conscientious.

The photo I attached of the note I found on the desk upon checking in baffled me. Housekeeping is only available on request, and it definitely showed. The shower floors were pretty atrociously dirty-looking, leaving me feeling like I was cleaner before I took a shower there. I had a hard time trusting that the sheets/pillows were cleaned, let alone the comforter. The people at the front were super sweet, but the area is sketchy, and motorcycles/loud cars fly down the adjacent streets at night, keeping you awake. Overall, I would recommend looking elsewhere before booking your stay here... If you do choose to stay here, you MUST bring slippers to walk around the room in and flip-flops for the shower. You seriously do not want to walk on any surface in these rooms. Best of luck.

Very comfortable beds. Staff very helpful. Nice shuttle to clinics. Enjoyed our overnight stay. Would stay again.
