My husband and I stayed for a 3 day mid-week break at 1770 and had a wonderful stay. We stayed in room #2, which I think is one of the smaller rooms, but it had lovely windows on 2 sides of the room, and beautiful decor which made it very cute indeed. The floors are creaky and you can see the ceiling is on a slant but for us this added to the charm! Felt like we were staying in a piece of East Hampton history! The continental breakfast each day was lovely, with smoked salmon, fresh fruit, muffins, coffee - couldn't ask for more. And Radye the inn keeper was really helpful in telling us how to make the most of our stay and parts of the town to enjoy. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings - and it was exquisite. They do a set menu which is good value and the dishes are prepared immaculately. We enjoyed some local wine too! Would definitely recommend this place - great location, lovely building and friendly service.
