I researched hotels around Monbetsu in advance, but since all hotels are Showa-like, the word of mouth evaluation was high among them, so I made a reservation. I didn't expect much from the ”Monbetsu Prince Hotel” (not related to that Prince), but when I came to the hotel, the foreign staff felt hard and professional. The hotel building itself looks old, but the inside of the building is cleanly maintained with color 々, and the room is small but renovated and not bad. The view from the room is good, the bath is a unit bus, but there is a large bath, so I think this is also good. I think the best thing was ”Breakfast Viking ♪” The variety of Japanese and Western foods was also substantial and delicious ♪ The bread is also fresh with homemade bread that seems to be baked on the spot. The hotel itself seems old, but it was a hotel with ingenuity and high satisfaction.

About 7-10mins walk to the left is Aeon mall.

We stayed overnight to see the Sounkyo Icefall Festival on the tour. This is my second time since I stayed in the summer. Get off the elevator and climb the stairs to your room. Overnight to see Abashiri drift ice. I had Kitami Yakiniku at a nearby shop. My companion put it in the large communal bath, and it was good that the accommodation with breakfast was expensive and clean. I stayed at the route in Muroran, so I thought that Kitami was also a route inn, but when I took the stay just before, Kitami was already full! Dommy Inn Kitami is a little higher. That is, it may feel a little high. The reason is that the price rank is a little high. Route in Kitami Parking, breakfast is free. I'm not sure this difference. I finished 700 yen high with breakfast cut. But my favorite public bath is the hot spring degree, the open-air bath, and the sauna point are worth only to compensate for the 700 yen high. However, there is not much cooking here, and people who can't eat raw, cool dishes may be worthless to stay here. In addition, this is a high-class hotel that is not tall but tastes good. For example, the room is not big, but the tatami is a small collapse in front of the window. There is a telescope, which is specially used to sit or lie down and watch birds. In the morning when the tide ebbs, the herons are looking for food at the bottom of the lake. It is still very happy to sit on the tatami and see the birds finally catch the fish. For example, there is a bookshelf in the lobby, with a variety of picture books, poems and books about the Okhotsk Sea (Japanese), magazines, you can bring back to the front desk to see. The hotel is completely surrounded by nature. There are no so-called tourist attractions around. There are very few people. Apart from watching nature, fishing, cycling, hot springs, playing table tennis and billiards at the hotel, there is nothing else to do. If you are lucky, you can meet Hokkaido red foxes, eagle and other wild animals while walking in the nearby Nature Centre. There is a small department selling local products. The nearest convenience store is about 7 kilometers away from the commissary and there is very little public transportation. If you don't drive, buy something you need and come over. The hotel staff's service was excellent, with 4 points because the hotel seemed to be less suitable for foreign tourists. I use Japanese to communicate, so the problem is not big, but if it is in English communication, various introductions may be omitted. The Chinese marked on the coffee machine is also automatically translated, very strange.

The breakfast hall staff is not good. [Overall] Although I care about the sound of the next room, the accommodation fee is cheap and the location is convenient for eating and drinking cannot be missed.
