When we arrived, we were surrounded by homeless people, some sleeping in the doorway. No evidence it was staffed or had patrons since there where no cars except one dilapidated one in the (unsecure) parking garage and one out front. Can't imagine there was a night club and two functional restaurants inside as advertised. We drove around the building twice and felt it was not safe to stop to go inside. It's unfortunate that it is being advertised as it is as it was not as it appeared to be. We've never been in a situation like this. We recommend staying close to the highway or at the waterfront. We hate to have to leave this review but we felt misled and unsafe and this listing should not be on trip advisor.

Seems a bit upscale. Clean. Lounge is immediately to your left upon entering the lobby. Kind of loud. Room was very nice, clean, modern. Bed was comfortable. We reserved a room with a view of Lake Erie, which was beautiful from what we could see from the dirt, spiders and dead bugs on the outside of the window with a view. Left you wondering how long it had been since the windows had been washed. If your room is located all the way to the end where the indoor pool is, you have quite a long walk all the way to the other end for ice. There are security doors to enter onto your floor. The food was great. The only other negative thing I can say about this hotel is they charge you for parking. There is no valet parking. You can park in their garage or across the way in an open parking lot and they charge you $14.00 for you to park your own car. I've never heard of that before.

The hotel is in a great location, very friendly check in and clean lobby area! The gym had several options for cardio and weights, workout benches and a cable machine. Small indoor pool and hot tub, which was nice. Cute restaurant with outdoor igloos. The menu looked great but we didn't eat there. Coffee available in the lobby every morning.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our king room suite. The full sized refrigerator was a huge plus. It did need some attention given to the carpet in the living room area as there are (what looked like) tomato sauce stains and a juice stain. It also needed vacuumed better. The mattress was softer than we are normally used to, but wasn't bad. I think it's the first hotel room I've ever walked into and the a/c was actually on and the room was nice and cool. The breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast, w/o orange juice. Nothing special. My husband said ”they use real eggs and not carton or powdered.” Being a holiday weekend, they were having trouble keeping up with the supply/demand for breakfast. It is noisy at night until about midnight with cars and motorcycles flying up/down the street. Music across the street is also pretty loud. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff. Matt was extremely nice when we checked in, and he also came up to the room because we couldn't figure out the bedroom TV. It's only about a 3-4 minute drive to Presque Isle State Park. All in all I would consider staying here again.
