Bohio Dive Resort

Ate here on recommendation, what a disappointment we waited one hour ten minutes for our first course which arrived cold our second course took a further 40 minutes to arrive and was served in stages with my wife waiting a further ten minutes both meals were stone cold we were offered replacement meals but we didn’t. want to waist any more time . The excuse for all this delay was the arrival of a local party who were served before us despite arriving thirty minutes after us.

We such had a wonderful week with amazing service and diving that we’ve booked again for this December 2022. The website now says the resort is closed for refurbishment. Tom and Ginny, would you please let us know if our deposit and reservation are good for our return trip this December? Sarah and Jason

I am following up on Brian L's review of July 2022. At least he received a letter from a lawyer after inquiring about the remaining balance in July. After all they had already closed their doors on July 1. I have yet not received anything from a lawyer or management ( Ginny and Tom). Also unlike Brian, I also don't have a PDF form to make a claim to the money I have lost. To make it worse they are back in business next year and haven't taken care of their old business to people like me before hand. After all we were to be there in 4 days, 8/7. They have a small resort with a small number of rooms and had to know this was coming, but couldn't have reached out to a few dozen people? How hard could that be? I will guarantee I could not trust them in the future. If they couldn't take care of old business before moving to newer money? I bet you I won't see any of the money collected from the recent liquidation sale a couple of weekends ago. My wife and I visited 10 years ago and can't claim to be friends like Brian L claims. But if they are/were friends and didn't give me some kinds of heads up or some kind of personal e-mail /text, I would be personally hurt. So because of my personal customer service experience, with no refund or apology in sight, buyer beware.

I have stayed at this resort many many times since 2010. I was so looking forward to coming again and spreading my wife's ashes. very hurt to find out 3 weeks before we leave that they went bankrupt. Tom and Ginny were always such wonderful people and we lost a lot of money I truly hope there is more to the story. We have managed to switch things to the Osprey for the same time period so we will see what that is like. Hopefully it can rid my mouth of the very sour taste

Stayed at Bohio as part of a dive trip. The property is beautiful. The staff is very accommodating. Always friendly and always willing to satisfy whatever whim their customers have. Special shout out to GiGi who was in charge at the front desk. Bartenders were awesome as was our Karaoke host. Even the donkeys, dogs, and cats were super friendly. The dive trips were very fun and the dive crew were knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommend Bohio!

Staying at Bohio is like visiting family! We always feel welcome and the staff is most hospitable. Much of the staff has remained the same over the years and this says so much about how well Bohio is managed! They offer entertainment on weekends but also have quiet nights that are much appreciated. The food is awesome and they offer a great variety. Some nights there is a special buffet or barbecue! The bar service is excellent and they are always looking to please. We keep returning to Bohio for these, and many other reasons. I should add that the diving was awesome and we had great experiences with Archie as our guide! We will certainly return to our home away from home!

This place is the cultural centre of the island of Grand Turk and it was fun to see the locals come there dressed up for evenings out. The rooms are located in a low rise building right on an uncrowded beautiful, sandy beach and are clean and well appointed. The dive centre is located right on the premises and is staffed by knowledgeable dive instructors and dive masters. The reef has a good variety of features and I can see coming here regularly in the future. I normally dive nitrox but it was not available. I am told new equipment to make nitrox is coming this year (2022) . This did not detract from the dive experience at all and I would still rate the dive facility as a 5 out of 5. Bohio's staff were all kind and helpful and very supportive of each other and made sure none of the guests were neglected. If you like a place where the staff will get to know you, and the resort, dining, and diving facilities are all in the same spot and right on the beach Bohio is a good choice!

Had another great time at Bohio on our second visit in 5 years. DJ, Derek and Meat were great dive masters as they took the time to help our newest diver in the family get oriented. Mirline and the bar staff were great!! and Leroy on chef duty made some great meals each day. We'll be back!!!

Bohio contacted us telling us that they had a covid problem and we should stay home. As our trip to TCI was the start of a multi island trip this didn't work. We started our TCI trip at the manta house and decided to walk to bohio to check it out. They had indicated the resort gate was locked and once we came in we couldn't leave. We had a cold beer at their bar and went home. The next day we met the owners daughter and son in law at Jack's shack. So much for the locked gate. Bohio then cancelled our reservation and stated they would refund our deposit. Still waiting for that. Sad to say I would never trust them with a vacation.
