SpringHill Suites Greenville Downtown

Traveled here for Valentines with my husband. It's downtown Greenville. It's convenient to all the downtown night life. Hotel was clean. Parking was in a parking garage. Due to Covid-19 at that time the amenities within the hotel was limited but the restaurant attached to the hotel was available. We enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is beautiful and close to everything in downtown Greenville. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. The only complaint is that the room was not vacuumed well and we found popcorn on the floor from previous guests.

We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed until this last stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, however our check in process was upsetting and honestly embarrassing. We thought that it was odd when the employee verbally stated we pre-paid with a third party, this should have been our first sign. There was no mention of the room type we booked, keys were just handed to us and we were told where the elevators were (even though we already knew this from previous stays). When we went to our assigned room, it was 2 queens that overlooked the roof and a wall...probably the worst room the hotel had to offer. We went downstairs to try and get the room we paid for and were told again that we booked through a third party, the hotel oversold and we were one of the guests they bumped. I received an email that morning from Marriott (as I am a Marriott member) confirming my stay AND my room choice. When I tried to show this to the employee at the desk he called over his manager. Again, I was told there was nothing that they could do and then proceeded to offer me valet parking or a free beer... We were meeting a friend of ours who was staying in the same hotel, booked through the same method and is also a Marriott member. He was told upon check in (which was after we had checked in) that they overbooked and offered to put him in the connecting hotel. He was given a beautiful King suite. I can only speculate why he was offered this room and myself a beer.

This hotel was beautiful and the staff were really nice & sweet! Our room was clean, I had no complaints!

Very nice hotel. Large rooms, comfortable beds. Lots of shopping and dining options within easy walking distance.

Central location with so much within walking distance, including Bon Secours Stadium. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the food and service in the bar/restaurant. Bartender Meredith is a gem! Only negative is heavy perfume smell that pervades the lobby.

We were able to get complimentary valet parking due to my husbands disability which was convenient. I did not like that the restaurant was closed in the evenings during half our stay.

From check in through the lobby to the room everything was fresh and clean, the room was very nice and clean. We will stay here again. The only thing that wasn’t working was the pool but it is outside and the temperature was too cool to use anyway.

The bar was horrible they had no idea what they were doing and was not cleaned well must have been a bad day I ended up walking to a place to drink but the hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL
