This is a fantastic spot for a few days away. I do not speak very much Chinese and relied on my local friend to really help out with the finer details. The hotel and staff were super helpful and very welcoming.
Check in was quick and all COVID details, passport and visa info was quickly taken note of. We were given the keys to our room on the fifth floor. What a view out across the mountains where we could watch the sunset from a huge bath tub! The room itself was super clean and had everything you would want....Large TV (we brought our own HDMI cable and movies). There was a kettle for tea but no coffee.....I forgot to pack it!
Food in the hotel was of a high standard and they even made sure to check if there was anything I would prefer not to eat. Beers were available or wine but nothing else that I could see.
The Host gave us excellent advice for our hike in the Tianmushan mountain and forest the next day. We had thought we may be back in time but ended up taking a long route over 11k ... in blistering heat! It was worth it.
As the only Westerner in the hotel for two days I felt very welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend Tianmushan Chengjing Homestay and will hopefully stay there again maybe in winter time.

This is the highest homestay in Tianmu Mountain. The view is great and it is very convenient to reach the scenic spot on the top of the mountain.
The service is great. The boss went to Lin'an Square subway station to pick me up and upgraded the room as soon as I arrived. I can see a large mountain view in the room. I was taking classes at the nearby Earth Field. Because I sprained my ankle, the boss picked me up for several consecutive days. On the last day, I went to Chanyuan Temple. Because it was late and there were no cars to the scenic spot, the boss also went down to pick me up in person.
The breakfast and dinner of the homestay are also very fragrant, and the chicken soup is especially delicious.

Stayed here for two nights while climbing Longwang Mountain. The environment is good. I can hear the sound of the stream flowing next to me at night, which is very healing. The room is very clean. I like the soft quilts here, which are not as heavy as those in other hotels. The only drawback is that there are no slippers for children. The braised pork made by the boss is super delicious. I finished two bowls of rice in one go. I will choose this place again next time I come. I hope the price will not increase, haha...
