This hotel I cannot compare with any other. From the warm welcome by Olaf to the walk in the snow to our - painted in red! - Blue Cone room for the night: Very special! The woods were a winter wonderland and the cabin was the cosiest retreat ever. We were surprised with a toilet and a shower, both of the latest sustainable techniques. Super beds. Luggage is delivered at the door. Oh yes; the rooms/cabins - all very different and amazing - are quite a substantial walk in the snow from the reception. No worries but better beware. We had a lovely dinner with a delicious wine selection at the main house. Same as for the cheery served breakfast in the morning. To come back to: yes. The surprise will still be the same. This was a winter outing, but summer must be great as well. Thanks to all the staff for their welcome!

An extraordinary experience . Our family for 4 stayed in the dragonfly room . It was warm and comfortable and had plenty of space . Amazing to be able to sleep under the moonlight and wake up to snow laden pine trees . Breathtakingly quiet and luxurious. Dinner was exceptional- the most tender moose and delicious mash potatoes. The tour of village with fika in the local tour guides home was amazing.

All the tree houses are spectacular. We stayed in the cabin, which was incredible. We were high up in a tree (access via a ramp) which gave great views. It was a bit of a trek from the reception to the rooms, but it was worth it when you got there. It was so peaceful and tranquil in the room, and we had a big snow fall while we were there which gave the forest a feeling of Narnia. The food was fantastic, our meal was moose which was delicious. The only criticism was the cost of the wine, of which the cheapest bottle of red was about £100.

This is one of my worst experiences I ever had in my life. With our arrival we were alone at reception and then a Swedish lady entered reception, the Albanian guy at reception made us wait for about 20 minutes while we were waiting. No help were offered to get our luggage to our tree house and we had to struggle alone to get it to our room. We couldn’t find our “nest” and returned to reception and the answer to us was you weren’t listening like a naughty child. It is a huge thing to get into your nest but anyway we managed! We reported 4 times that the wifi is not working and the Albanian guy said four times that he is going to repair it. When I reported again the new lady at reception , Maja said it is off and will not be on line soon. Your shower is outside your cabin and not enough clean towels were available. We had to get some from a neighbouring sauna. Food is also extremely expensive about 3 times more than in Stockholm. Here is nothing except a Coop that is walkable. I will never in my live recommend this place to any one. Don’t get stuck here without a vehicle, you are going to regret it! This morning Maja at reception just wanted to know what can she do to or give to make it better…….I said nothing just resolve the problem!

Loved it - even after our snowmobile ‘mishap’ - all staff and guides very helpful and friendly. Food superb - rooms quirky and unforgettable ( stayed in the birds nest and mirror cube) Dinner on ice an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience. The visit topped off with a display of the Aurora. Thanks for having us !

We stayed one night in the UFO at the end of our Swedish adventure. What a fabulous place …. Trekking through the forest in the snow to come across a UFO in amongst the trees was amazing and my kids faces when they saw the ladder up there was brilliant. The ufo itself was big inside than I thought and the beds very cosy. I wasn’t expecting the fridge and kitchen table area. The unusual toilet took a little getting used to, but certainly wasn’t as noisy as I expected from previous reviews. A very good nights sleep was had by our whole family ..the UFO gently swayed in the wind and rocked us to sleep! A little like an airplane but silent. The hotel itself was quirky and the restaurant area very clean but small. Felt a little “cut off” as we were seated in a room to ourselves but it was fine. Food lovely and tasty, beware though as wine prices high ! A fantastic experience and one to store as an amazing memory ….

We stayed in the cabin, wonderful views across the autumn trees to the river. The room was cozy and it was great to lie in bed and watch the wildlife in the trees. The main hotel area Is quirky ( 1950,s ) We are in the restaurant and had great local foods served each night.our waitress was warm and friendly as was the young man who was on reception most mornings. We hiked the local area which gave stunning views. We paid for a guided day trip to the rapids, which are stunning and had lunch cooked over an open fire, however at £500 for 2 people this was ridiculously expensive and overall not value for money.

Really special experience living in a top modern apar**ent far up in the trees. Beautiful sunrises, northern light, snow scooters and walking in the woods with snow shoes and then eating lunch over an open fire with an excellent guide who taught us much, finalizing with sauna and nice dinner. What else can you ask from life!

We stayed at the Treehotel for 3 nights in December, 2021. This was simply one of the best hotel experiences we have had. We stayed in the 7th room -- which was really nice--very comfortable and nice views. We had breakfast and dinner each day we were there and the food was outstanding. Our meals were served in our own small dining room in the main lodge building. The staff were accommodating to any request. We went on a snowmobile tour with Michael one morning--Lots of fun. We were scheduled to go snowshoeing that same afternoon but our scheduled guide called and alerted the staff that he was not feeling well. They got in touch with Michael and he filled in by taking us to his small cabin by a private lake and helped us try out snowshoeing---another great experience. We were left with the impression that the staff and owners of the Treehotel would do everything they could to make our stay with them special. They certainly succeeded in doing that!
