Harbin Central Street Habsburg Hotel (Sofia Church)

The location is fantastic, right by the Songhua River! Cross the road and you're at the Songhua River and the cable car. It's just a 3-minute walk to the Flood Control Memorial Tower and Central Avenue. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked in and checked out. Our room included afternoon tea and snacks, and the breakfast was superb – truly outstanding! They had different Northeastern specialties every day, plus a wide variety of Russian dishes. You can really get a taste of the local cuisine. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is fantastic, the facilities are great, and the environment is comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, and the service is warm and attentive. Breakfast is served until 12 PM, and they even have 3D-printed yogurt, which is a nice touch. The concierge service was outstanding; when I arrived, it was pouring rain, and he got wet helping me park and carry my luggage. When I left, he also helped me take my luggage to the parking lot.

The restaurant is fantastic, with a great ambiance and excellent facilities. They even bring complimentary cartoon yogurts every day. On the day of 'Lichun' (Start of Autumn), they offered the 'first cup of milk tea of autumn,' which was a lovely touch. The Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork) burger is definitely worth trying. Upon check-in, we received frozen pears and a fruit platter. When we were getting into the car, the lobby manager even said, 'Princess, please step in,' which was a delightful surprise. The hotel's location is superb, right by the Songhua River and next to the Songhua River Cableway, making it very convenient to get to Sun Island. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Harbin.

Overall, it was good. The breakfast was plentiful, and the location was convenient. The hotel is right across the street from the cable car exit to Sun Island. It's very close to the Red Brick Street morning market, Central Avenue, and Daoli vegetable market. The only downside is that I didn't know the room type I chose was an end room. I had a nightmare the first night. If you mind end rooms, definitely avoid the suite with a tea room. Everything else was great, and the staff were all very enthusiastic.

Traveling with family, the hotel's location is super convenient, right by the Songhua River, making it easy to get anywhere. The restaurant is fantastic, with a wide variety of dishes and attentive, friendly staff. The cold noodles and rice vermicelli among the main courses were delicious, and I won't spoil the other great food – you'll have to discover it yourselves, haha! My kids loved the food, especially the yogurt with its cute designs. Oh, and the view from the window is amazing too, you can see the castle on the river!

The hotel room was spacious, and I got my first pleasant surprise right after checking in – a room upgrade! I had booked a Deluxe Family Room, and it was upgraded to a Family Room with a tea room, which we used constantly throughout our five-day stay! The kids absolutely loved it! The hotel's location is superb, right next to the subway station and the river cable car station, literally within a 2-minute walk – no exaggeration. In the evening, it's less than a 5-minute stroll to the riverside for some scenic views. You can walk to Central Street and Saint Sophia Cathedral, and other attractions are also easily accessible. The dining options were equally perfect! Right outside the hotel is a street full of various restaurants. What truly deserves the highest praise is the hotel's service. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all our questions and providing prompt assistance whenever needed. Big thumbs up! It's rare to find such high service standards, especially during peak summer season when the hotel was almost fully booked! I especially want to commend the doorman who greeted us with 'Princess, please get in the car' – so thoughtful!

Great location, very warm service, and a good variety of delicious breakfast options. I was initially worried it might be one of those places that incentivizes good reviews, but after staying, I found the positive feedback to be genuine. I think this was the best hotel of my trip to Harbin. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The only thing I have to mention is the car-shaped bed – you can't really sit on the edge comfortably, it's too hard. Maybe a slightly higher mattress that extends over the bed frame would make it better. The frozen pears the hotel gave us were adorable, and they even came in an insulated container – a truly thoughtful touch.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway and the cross-river cable car. Central Pedestrian Street is also within walking distance. The breakfast restaurant is fantastic, offering a wide and delicious selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, available until 12 PM. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us proactively, helping with luggage, and enthusiastically providing recommendations for local attractions. The rooms are spacious with great soundproofing, and the river view rooms offer a stunning panorama.
