*Disappointed after so many good reviews…* We recently travelled to Harbin and after looking at many of the hotels and reading the reviews we decided that this was the hotel for us. However we were shocked to find the poor service and cleanliness during our stay. Location: The location of the hotel is a huge plus point as it’s very close to the central street & not too much of a distance to reach the main tourist attractions (20/30 min taxi ride). The location is also close to lots of restaurants which is very convenient. Service: This is an area which could definitely do with improvement especially the evening staff, upon checkin the staff were friendly and welcoming however when we raised issues with the hotel room they became very rude and disrespectful. When we arrived to our room we found we had no face cloths - not a big issue and one that was resolved in a timely manner. However we then had to ask for the face cloths each day after housekeeping had changed the towels which isn’t an issue in itself more of an inconvenience . However the staff at the front desk seemed to find it quite funny (staff members laughing when we mentioned our room number at the front desk) that we had several issues with our room. Amenities: The hotel has a robot delivery service for when you order food and other items from meituan which is a convenient way to get your things. The shower in the room was broken but was fixed in a timely manner. The room air con is basically just an ornament, the temperature of the room cannot be changed - it was set at 34 celsius one night - you can open a window but it will get cold quite quickly. Cleanliness: Another area with room for improvement - the hotel room is rather dusty with dust falling from the ceiling above the bed. The sink was not cleaned when we checked in. On one occasion we were given ‘fresh’ towels with make up stains on. Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

1. Check-in was quick, the room was comfortable, the bed was soft, the price was not expensive, the environment was good, the room was clean, the first choice for check-in, and I was satisfied. 2. The sanitation was very clean, close to the scenic spot, and it was very convenient to get in and out. Overall, it was very good. 3. The hotel is clean, spacious and bright, with complete facilities. The service is excellent, enthusiastic, efficient, and basically responsive. The main thing is that the room price is affordable. 4. Very good, the Sophia Church is very beautiful, the room is very clean, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the hotel front desk is very enthusiastic, and the service is thoughtful. 5. Parking is convenient near the hotel, there is a paid parking lot, the indoor sanitation is clean, very quiet, and the room is well soundproofed, which does not affect sleep. 6. This off-peak trip was great. Ctrip’s first choice is Harbin Old Street Store. This store is so good. It’s a century-old store on a century-old street with Russian architectural style. It’s on West Qidao Street on Central Street, which happens to be Central Street. The center of the pedestrian street is just like living on Wangfujing Street in Beijing. It is not far from the scenic spots. It is also very convenient to take a taxi at the door. You can go downstairs and take a walk on the street every night after dinner. Facilities: The facilities of the century-old store are slightly outdated. Hygiene: OK, cleaning is timely. Service: The service is very good. The front desk, restaurant and staff are all very warm and thoughtful, and the room service is very user-friendly. 2 Madiel popsicles: The Madiel popsicles provided upon check-in are also very delicious. The popsicles sold at her window are the most popular and are of high quality and low price. Two bottles of Qiuring gas: The kvass delivered every day is also very delicious.

The room was compact and exactly what I wanted for 1 person. The best part is that it has no windows and I won't be awaken by the morning sun. Located in the middle of the 中央大街 provides convenience to nearby shops and cafes. The only downside is the location isn't friendly for didi to enter as it's a one way street. However, it's only about 200m away to the main driving street to hop onto your didi.

The Habsburg hotel in Harbin was an amazing experience from the time you arrive till the time you leave. The hotel has a European theme to it as soon as you walk in. The staff at the front desk are friendly always greeting you as you walk in and out. Most of the staff speak English and are accommodating to locals as well as foreigners. The room was immaculate and spacious, the beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was that the room was too hot and trying to adjust the temperature on the AC wasn’t working so we had to sleep with the windows opened the entire night. Other than that, on the first day of arrival they had complimentary snacks as well as vouchers to enjoy the full experience of a Russian high tea as well as a cocktail in the evening at the bar. This hotel met all the expectations and is an affordable hotel to stay at in Harbin. The location was perfect it was situated near the Songhua river cable car, Zhongyang street where you can enjoy local street food and near St Sophia cathedral. We also enjoyed lunch and breakfast at the hotel and the service was amazing the manager Jenny was welcoming, friendly and accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and served us well. Habsburg hotel is definitely a hotel I would recommend staying at when visiting Harbin.

We stayed at the hotel as a family of four for three nights. The check-in went quickly and smoothly. All our requests were met and we settled in right away with no issues. Our room was quiet (no street noise) with a great city-view facing the Main Street. The cleaning was usual. The supplies were refilled daily. Breakfast had Chinese and western-like options. All staff was friendly and welcoming. The check out was quick. The porter helped us with our luggage (a carry-on suitcase, tote bag, and stroller) and bid farewell. One thing that would make this stay a better experience is to have more control of the light in the room. One could only have all of it on or off, no bed light. And the rain shower could use some minor fixing. Overall, we had great experience and it was a much better option space-wise (45 sq.m) and money-wise compared to other hotels of the same type and star rating.

Name confuses at first. After lookup for its location, we assumed that it meant that we can easily take a metro directly to the famous street, few stops away. Breakfast was good. Fresh, variety and a lot it choices. Staff at breakfast room were friendly and always helpful. Related to staff, there is one male receptionist who spoke and understood English. With all other ladies we needed our translation application to communicate with them. Room was big, heater worked very well, too well some day, but luckily we could open our windows. Ps. Don't take a taxi without using didi app. We got cheated on the our way back to airport. A friend of us was even refuse for his ride to railway station...

Booked on Ctrip.com, the experience was very good. The room was spacious, odorless, cost-effective, fully equipped, clean, the water and drinks in the room were free, the hotel staff was warm and meticulous, the breakfast was very good, with many dishes, free afternoon tea, free supper, noodles, hot and sour noodles, wontons, cold noodles, the hotel is outside Wanda Plaza, and they also provide free pick-up and drop-off, which is very convenient. YYburnnavoyagesMy friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Mercure hotel in Harbin, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, I was struck by the spotlessly clean surroundings and the comfortable feeling that enveloped us. The high ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the ambiance, making it feel a luxury 5-star accommodation, all at a budget-friendly price. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfortable bed and fresh linens. I had the best sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, as if I had slept like a baby. The attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable sleep experience was truly commendable. The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Despite some language barriers, they went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and provide accurate information. I vividly remember ALAN CHEN or Chan, although I'm unsure of the exact spelling of his name. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions, taking the time to communicate and ensure we received the correct directions. Their dedication and willingness to assist made a lasting impression on me. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easily accessible from the airport which is around 45mins or less. The ride took less than 10 minutes to reach the high-speed railway station from the hotel. However, I must mention that there weren't many convenient shops in the immediate vicinity, which might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers. Our only issue during our stay was the room temperature, which was quite warm. Despite adjusting the thermostat, we couldn't achieve a comfortable coolness. We resorted to opening the window slightly to let in some fresh air, but leaving it open throughout the night posed the risk of catching a cold. It would be highly beneficial if the hotel could consider providing a humidifier, as the air in the room felt excessively dry. Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly amazing. IIlse Du PlooyThe room appears much smaller than on the website but is adequate for solo travelling. Although water bottles was replaced daily, dirty tea cups were never removed or washed during my 4 day stay and I had to rinse them in the bathroom. The trash can was emptied every day but they do not make your bed. The shower head was broken and difficult to handle and the mattress topper was too big for the bed and kept slipping off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was difficult in the sense that the hotel is situated in a very busy main road, with one way direction and few in between passes, meaning taxis must first drive quite far past the hotel before making a u-turn to turn back to drop you. The downside of using Didi's or taxi's are the rude and impatient drivers. They charged extra high fares during Christmas. We were often gridlocked in traffic, ending up walking back 2-4km to the hotel. Overall I was disappointed in the city itself. Many buildings were rundown and neglected with broken windos and peeled paint, that reminded me of a third world country. Streets were very dirty and a nearby school did not make traffic congestion any easier when commuting forth and back to the hotel. Rumours that Christmas is not so busy and a better time to be visiting Harbin, is not true. The crowds spoiled the experience at Saint Sophia Church, especially the influencers who dressed up in ridiculous outfits posing in freezing temperatures at the church staircases and corners, spoiling any photography opportunities. Stalls and shops around the Church were very expensive. I visited a few other churches like St Aleksyev and Jile Temple which was far worth the effort. The highlight of my trip was Volga Manor, Baroque Street and the Songhua Railroad Bridge. Sun Island snow sculptures were very enjoyable, easy to navigate and not congested with people. Plenty of space to walk through the park, play in the snow and take the cable car over the river. The ques are not long from the Sun Island side, but crossing over to Harbin's side, the ques were very long to get a cable car. Danny's Beer in the Baroques Street area is a must visit and offered welcoming, warm and delicious food and hospitality. It's a 4,7km hike from the Songhua River bridge and offered good food at very reasonable prices. I did not visit the Ice sculpture park or light shows because of the three hour waiting cues, too many people and slippery conditions. The Tiger park was a so-so experience and mostly annoying due to people teasing the tigers with meat strips they cannot reach; all for the sake of a photo opportunity. If you are an animal lover, rather skip the tiger Park. Lastly, a big plus was the public toilets near the Songhua River that were impressively clean.

MMark GBRLast minute booking 👍 and a very good stay. Close to what we wanted but in a quiet location. Seem less check in and the room is fully equipped and well decorated. The free afternoon tea is a nice touch too. Overall there are no negatives. The price is the same as other larger hotels in Harbin but offers a more relaxed feel. My wife said the breakfast was good 👍

OOlesia eye surgeonWe are family of 2 adults and two kids 10 and 15 years old stayed for two nights. Actually we have arrived at late night at 00:30 and just called to the reception by number which was provided by trip com. The front desk guy went downstairs and gave us the access to our room. The front desk is located at 4 floor 412 room block E . The room was convenient, very clean, the two double beds are big and comfortable. The window view to the west railway station. We went by walk about 16 minutes from the hotel to railway. The wanda plaza needs to take a taxi to get in and it’s about 10 minutes by car. The room is warm, the windows are good closed, has refrigerator but doesn’t have any dishwear. If you want to eat and cook some simple meal at the room then will need to bring your own tableware. Also we stored our luggage for free at the front desk for few hours. My family have enjoyed the stay. Appreciate for the good accommodation!

SSimpleConvincerI would like to confirm what the other people who stayed here--the place is very very clean and well maintained. I stayed here for five nights. At first I was worried whether I would find the hostel easily. It was really easy to find! Also, the bus stop going to Harbin Taiping Airport is just a 10 to 15 minute walk (with luggage) and less than 10 minutes (without luggage). Unlike the other hostels that I have stayed in, this hostel is just literally a fews steps away and in front from Exit 1 of Zhongyang Street (Main Street) Station. I usually don't write reviews but the owners were really kind and very welcoming. I stayed in other hostels and this hostel is really well maintained and not smelly. The was just one minor inconvenience that I encountered--there was only one shower. Most of the time the shower area is empty. I read that some other reviewers complained about noise, but I didn't notice any kind of noise during my stay. I also thought that since the hostel was near Zhongyang Street station, it would be very noisy. I didn't hear any noise coming from outside the building. Nevertheless, I had a very wonderful stay here in this hostel.

I called and someone showed me the house. The villa has been renovated. The environment is okay, it is nice and clean, and I only live here with my children. It is not very soundproof and I am always afraid of disturbing others... …The house is very hot, and the floor heating is very warm, so it’s dry, Facilities: There are no tables and chairs indoors.

IIBRAHIM إِبۡرَاهِيمَ 依布拉欣If you're planning to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow World, remember to purchase spikes at the counter (8 YUAN). It's affordable and can prevent falls and injuries. Unfortunately, I slipped on the ice and badly hurt my ankle. Luckily, there's a nearby hospital, Harbin Shengfeng Hospital, just a 10-15 minute walk away (you can use Google Maps). The doctors there are helpful, but they don't speak English, so bring your passport and use Google Translate if needed. On a brighter note, I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. They have a large mirror and a hot water station where you can prepare instant noodles. Although they don't have a kitchen, you can easily get utensils and a mug from nearby convenience stores, especially if you're planning to make coffee. One thing I found really convenient was the international charger ports provided for each bed. Before checking out, remember to ***** your bed and leave a note in the lobby to indicate your presence. I left a Malaysian flag as my mark.

SShenqidebudaowengThe Yablony Hotel is really ski-in and ski-out. There is a ski center inside the hotel, KFC is downstairs, and the ski center of Sunshine Ski Resort is next door. Very convenient indeed. The snow-view king bed room is really beautiful. Open the window and you can see the cable car and the ski slopes. The only frustrating thing is that I called after 11 o'clock to ask for check-out, but check-in has to be after 14 o'clock. 4 stars for service, 5 stars for everything else.
