This is a great place to stay in Harrogate, with off street parking and only 5 minutes walk from the town centre.The bed was very comfortable and being so much bigger than our own felt like luxury. There was a huge choice at breakfast and the owners Jan and Mark were lovely and friendly.

Stayed for two nights in a very comfortable room. Jan and Mark are a very friendly, accommodating couple as was their daughter who helped with breakfast. The breakfast was excellent quality with something for everyone. The house is well situated for a short walk into town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Definitely deserves its 4* rating,

We stayed here two years ago and it is still just as good. An easy walk into the town centre, comfortable rooms, friendly hosts and well cooked breakfasts with quality ingredients. There's a good range of options plus homemade marmalades and jams. Don't eat too much though, Harrogate has a Bettys!

I come to Harrogate once a year for Thought Bubble festival, and I ALWAYS stay at Arden House. Jan, Mark and the family are wonderful hosts and always make us feel so welcome. I genuinely love coming here. We usually stay in their apartments which are well furnished and cosy, plenty of space. The breakfasts are delicious, with the well-stocked cold buffet wonderfully complimenting the cooked menu beautifully. My favourite place to stay, worth every penny!

Our stay at Arden house was a very pleasant one, fabulous breakfast, very impressive variety of fresh fruits. Arden house is on a quite street with easy walking distance in to town. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Jan and Mark are a very friendly hosts, lots of hints of where to eat and places to visit. Will definitively go back.

We initially booked for a two night stay in January, but were prevented by a hospital stay. The owners Jan and Mark were very accommodating and we moved our stay to February. Franklin Road is ideally placed for a visit to Harrogate, and the Arden makes an ideal base. The hotel is bright, clean, and well-appointed. The owners are exceptionally helpful, ideal hosts. The breakfast selection cannot be bettered. We highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at Arden House. Our double bedroom was clean and comfortable, especially the bed, with plenty of light, overlooking the road. Jan and Mike could not have been better hosts: very welcoming , friendly and happy to engage in conversation. The pièce de résistance however was the copious breakfast. The variety of the cooked dishes on offer and of the cold buffet was staggering and the quality of ingredients, especially the wide choice of fresh fruit, dates and yogurt was better than any I have experienced in larger and grander hotels, The cooked breakfast also reached perfection. The dining room was tastefully furnished and very light and airy and the bar lounge very stylish. A staff member at "Betty's" described Arden House as " a hidden gem". How right she was!

Mark and Jan excellent hosts during our stay. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was first class with a great choice to choose from and plenty of coffee. 👍☕️

Situated on a peaceful suburban street with plenty of car parking, Arden House is warm, clean and quiet and run by a friendly couple. We would definitely return for our next visit to Harrogate. Extensive cooked breakfast with a long menu. Attentive staff :-)
