I stayed for two nights for a wedding. The whole estate including the house are very well maintained and beautiful ensuring beautiful photo opportunities. The staff were very efficient and friendly whilst remaining professional. The accommodation was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The wedding including the wedding breakfast was excellent and well organised. It was also lovely having exclusive use of the Hall for the wedding.

This unspoilt stately home has been renovated to a very high standard by a private family, so there is nothing corporate or clinical ! The food is exceptional in the lavish restaurant. We stayed for one night with breakfast, again, this was great. Staff are extremely welcoming. As the weather was so wet we did the audio tour of the house, which gave an insight to the renovations and history of the house. We stayed in a slightly larger than standard room which was lovely with everything you need. I would really recommend Hawkstone Hall, as a little gem in the north of shropshire.

We have visited Hawkstone Hall a few times with friends and wanted to treat my mother in law to afternoon tea. As always the service, food and atmosphere was second to none. The staff were very attentive and could not do enough for us. A massive thank you to all at Hawkstone for making our afternoon so special. We are already planning our next visit!

Beautiful place - went for afternoon tea - excellent and the staff were very very helpful Josh looked after us in every way. Cannot fault the service or the`food. The entrance driveway is slightly misleading - there is a gate which is controlled from the Hall by an intercom which at fierst is not obvious.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after by the fantastic staff. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and the lovely lady on reception told us the history of the house. It is breathtaking, every room is beautiful but still feels comfortable and homely. We enjoyed some drinks in the Snug and I took the audio tour. Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to return.

Our visit exceeded all expectations. The building is a stunning example of period architecture set in a glorious landscape with amazing views. The restoration has been done with great care and attention to detail, the rooms take your breath away. I have visited scores of historic houses but Hawkstone Hall is probably the best example of how internal repair and decoration can capture the spirit of place and lift the spirit. We visited for the audio tour and light lunch and were utterly charmed by the hall and the staff. Food was outstanding.

A beautiful stately house set in beautiful countryside. The snug is so relaxing with a log fire and comfy seating. We stayed over in a beautiful double room x 2 with our friends. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bed so comfy. Elemis toiletries and soft towels with bathrobe and slippers. The food is delicious and well presented. En-suite shower room with countryside views. Service excellent. Relaxation 100%. Lovely breakfast and menu choice. Every room on the ground floor is beautifully decorated. The gardens are extensive with lakes, mature trees and shrubs . There is a gym but we were there to relax. William greeted us upon arrival with bubbles and chatted for about half an hour to make sure we were welcomed and familiar with the surroundings.

Went for 3 course lunch with my daughter, impressive place, beautiful, feels rich in heritage. We were warmly greeted, shown to our table. I agree with other reviews, the chairs are too low for the table, I rolled my coat up and sat on it and the table wobbled, but that was wedged for us. Drinks and food order taken promptly. There seemed to be 3 members of staff on, we were served our starter and main course and the food was really great. I Had to leave the room to request salt and pepper, we were not offered mustard or horseradish for our roast beef main. After we’d finished our main, the staff disappeared! I sat with an empty glass and dirty plates for 25 minutes, then decided to have a wonder to find someone, another lady was doing the same trying to get a drink. There wasn’t anyone behind the bar either, felt like they’d all gone home. When we finally got a drink and ordered desserts, we were told that they didn’t have what we’d ordered. Shame, with a more consistent service and a few minor tweaks could have been rated highly.
