An absolute 10/10 stay in Nara City! Yamatonoyado KITAKYOBATE is a beautiful, 2-story property that is kept incredibly clean. The layout is perfect for families or groups, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. I was blown away by the number of amenities provided right in the room—they have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. The location in kitakyobate-cho is peaceful yet convenient. Checking in was seamless, and the overall experience was flawless. Will definitely book this place again on my next trip to Japan!

The location is great. You can walk uphill to Mt. Wakakusa. It’s beautiful to feed the deer and watch the sunset. It’s very close to Todaiji Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The small suite with bunk beds for three people and a kitchen is so beautiful. You can make dinner and breakfast early in the morning. The deer is in front of the window, it feels like a vacation

This was one of my favorit stays in Japan , this place had gread value for money. Location was great close to shopping street pond and park. There was space to eat food and they provides all usual free stuff. Access through codes ,loved not having to carry any cards keys etc.

Check in and check out process is easy. Location wasn't our consideration when booking the place since we are driving there. The parking lot is opposite the house. We were late when check in and it's abit dark in the surrounding so we couldn't recognise which was the right parking lot for the unit until we saw the manual / guide in the kitchen.

We love the special Japanese style rooms. The garden is big. But this property is a bit too cold in winter time. Owner locked one aircon in the room. Only left one aircon on, which is not enough during night time. We were suffering all the nights and early morning. I suggest owner to provide at least one mirror at the property, we couldn’t find any mirror for make-up.

There are 4 people in our family, and the 1.3-meter bed is still a bit crowded for 2 people. 🟢Decoration and hygiene (5 points) •The decoration is quite new, the room is clean and hygienic, and the bedding, towels and bath towels are hygienic and have no odor. 🟢Facilities (4.5 points) •The Hitachi air conditioner is powerful, but the installation position is not good, and the cold wind will blow on the bed, and it cannot be avoided. There is a small TV, all in Japanese. There is no washing machine in room 203. The bathroom is an integrated bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Japanese hotels are equipped with smart toilet lids as standard, which is good. •There are microwaves, small refrigerators, and other disposable items. 🟢Service (2 points) •It is difficult to communicate with the merchant. No one from Ctrip asked and the email reply was slow. Although we agreed to check in early, we needed the gate password to check in by ourselves. We couldn't enter the gate downstairs. We sent an email to ask for the password, but there was no reply. We called but it didn't get through. Is it wrong to call directly according to the Ctrip phone link? In the end, I waited for 10 minutes before receiving an email reply. It was very hot and I felt helpless! •It is recommended that the store consider adding WeChat to communicate when encountering Chinese guests? In this way, communication will be timely and the customer experience will be better. 🟢Surroundings and sound insulation (3 points) •The room is on the side of the road. Occasionally, motorcycles will come in at night and will be disturbed. The store has earplugs, but it is still not very good. •It is relatively close to Nara Park.

It was my first time to experience a youth hostel. The beds were bunk beds. I was lucky to be assigned to the upper bunk. After all, if I wanted to get out of bed, it would affect the passengers in the lower bunk. The hotel staff are quite friendly. Excluding the queues for bathing and the fact that it is quite far from JR Nara, the hotel is pretty good. After all, it is a youth hostel. Those who need a separate space for their light sleep and fear of noise should think twice.

Nice and chill reception. Really feels cozy and informal. Room was clean and simple, tatami mat floor and futon, very comfortable. The warming blanket was amazing! Toilet was super clean, which was such a relief. Very quiet neighbourhood. Close to buss tops and a giant bookshop/starbucks.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, with a good surrounding environment. It is very close to the attractions (you can walk there). The hotel front desk is staffed by an old man or a grandmother, who is very friendly! But they don't speak Chinese. The 12-square-meter double room is OK.

Overall, I was quite satisfied, meeting my expectations. The price was relatively reasonable, and the value for money was good. The facilities were complete, with a bathroom and shared washing machine within the B&B. Although there was only one bathroom, I didn't have to worry about long waits. There was also a kitchen available, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The nearest bus stop is 300 meters away, so transportation and the surrounding area are acceptable. The owner is Chinese and speaks Mandarin without any issues. Room 201 was quite small, practically covered entirely with mattresses, and only accommodated a 28-inch suitcase, though the owner had explained in advance. Note that there are few people nearby, and most of them are elderly, so please keep your voice down both on the way and in the room.
