3-Star Hotels in Nara City

An absolute 10/10 stay in Nara City! Yamatonoyado KITAKYOBATE is a beautiful, 2-story property that is kept incredibly clean. The layout is perfect for families or groups, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. I was blown away by the number of amenities provided right in the room—they have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. The location in kitakyobate-cho is peaceful yet convenient. Checking in was seamless, and the overall experience was flawless. Will definitely book this place again on my next trip to Japan!

Nice Japanese style experience. The room was really nice and big size, very traditional. The breakfast was good but I was expected more, but at the end it was ok. The owner was kind but seemed a bit stressed about visitors. I recommend to visit Hotobit but if you don’t have lot of luggage’s to carry because is a bit far away from the city center by walk also from any restaurant. The good think is that is a 5 minutes by walk far from the bus stop.

The location is superb, right next to the park. The room is good, and there's a place to do laundry, plus a communal kitchen. The only downside is the thin walls. We couldn't sleep the first night because other guests were very noisy, despite signs everywhere saying to be quiet after 10 PM – they were still making noise until morning. Everything else was great, and check-in was easy.

My trip to Japan was so enjoyable largely because of this hotel! I was initially worried about the two Superhotels, but this one was fantastic! It's right across from the JR station, and the staff at the front desk all speak Chinese, and I heard they also speak Korean, Japanese, and English—amazing! Communication was completely seamless. During check-in, they explained everything in detail, including pillows, pajamas, combs, shampoo, and more! The breakfast was delicious and very Japanese, and I noticed many Japanese people choose to stay here, which was really great. Nara Park is also within walking distance. Overall, I had a wonderful time. I've already recommended it to everyone I know, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kansai—it's even cheaper than others! The rooms are small, but that seems to be a common problem with Japanese hotels.

Just a short bus ride from the hotel takes you directly to these Buddhist sanctuaries, which bear the indelible marks of Sino-Japanese cultural exchange. Setting out from the hotel, the majestic grandeur of Toshodai-ji Temple is truly awe-inspiring. Designed by Master Jianzhen himself after his eastward journey, its architecture perfectly blends the imposing scale of Tang Dynasty buildings with Japanese aesthetics. Amidst its vermilion pillars and graceful bracket complexes, one can still faintly discern the enduring legacy of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Nearby, the Heijo Palace Site, once the political heart of the Nara period, may now be reduced to ruins, but it still allows visitors to envision the bustling splendor of what was once known as 'Japan's Chang'an City'. Strolling through Nara's streets, one can clearly see the east-west symmetrical layout of a city meticulously modeled after Chang'an, the Tang Dynasty capital – almost like a code for time travel. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of this Tang-inspired ancient charm, offering both convenience for exploring and a tranquil retreat from the bustling city. The guest rooms are clean and tidy, with a minimalist yet cozy Japanese-style decor. After a tiring day, returning here to enjoy a cup of hot tea and relax on the tatami mat evokes a wonderful sense of comfort and relaxation. The hotel staff are warm and professional. They not only patiently answer questions in English but also thoughtfully provide transportation guidance between attractions. The surrounding izakayas (Japanese pubs) and convenience stores are also very convenient, making it exceptionally easy to savor Nara's famous Kakinoha-zushi (persimmon leaf sushi) or purchase souvenirs. For travelers eager to deeply experience Nara's Tang-inspired ancient charm and explore the lineage of Tang Dynasty Buddhist culture in Japan, Toyoko Inn Nara is undoubtedly an ideal choice. Here, history and modernity blend seamlessly; every outing becomes a cultural encounter, and every return offers the comfort of home.

This was one of my favorit stays in Japan , this place had gread value for money. Location was great close to shopping street pond and park. There was space to eat food and they provides all usual free stuff. Access through codes ,loved not having to carry any cards keys etc.

Right next to Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station, this hotel boasts a convenient location and excellent value for money. The room is typical of a Japanese business hotel – perfectly fine for a stay. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient for dining, drinking, and shopping. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

This hotel is exactly something what we expected to experience with a Japanese style room and hot spring. We chose Japanese style room which was spacious enough for 3 guests. Hotel fee already included Japanese dinner served inside room and breakfast (Japanese or American) served in their restaurant. Hot spring is available from 4pm-11pm, however, no morning session is available which a bit disappointed us. Hot spring area is not big, it is more enjoyable when there are only 2-3 guest in the pool. Hotel location is good, only about 6 mins walk from Kintetsu Nara station. The only bad thing was NO elevator or escalator from the station up to ground floor exit. All other main tourist attractions are within walkable distance.

В номере был чайник, чай, стаканчики пластиковые (что неудобно), фен, сушилка для белья, ванные принадлежности, много полотенец. Но на ярусном этаже где кровать очень пыльно. Всё окно и занавески в пыли. Приложила фото.

First of all, the location is a long distance from JR and the electric rail Nara Station. The facade is good. The waiter's attitude is also very good. There are free drinks and books on the first floor for free. But the hotel hardware facilities can be said to be not suitable as a hotel, the bed, bathroom, etc. are too old, the TV is not as big as the laptop, and it is a big circle smaller than the small refrigerator. The sewer is also blocked, and the smell of the sewer is coming to the door. I should not choose this hotel again. It is not a good experience. Of course, the service is very good, but the facilities are really bad.
