Thongbay was amazing! Staff were wonderfully attentive and I felt like a very valued guest. Rooms were simply furnished but everything you needed was there from mosquito nets to fridge. I loved the view, and the breakfast, served on my balcony, was delicious. The shower was powerful, the pool divine and the gardens simply beautiful. I had been a little worried about the location as it’s outside the town but need not have been - there’s a free mini van each way multiple times a day but I did walk once and it only took 20 minutes. Plus I was grateful to be outside the noisy town. If you’re not a fan of nature this might not be the place for you, but I felt it was exactly what I needed - falling asleep to the sound of frogs and cicada, and waking to birdsong. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer!

The receptionist guy so helpful. He waited for us outside the road when we arrived. Help us smoothly check in. And recommend a driver with car to take us the kuangsi waterfall. We rented a bike for 1 day but allow us use for 3 days during our duration of our stay. The place is a bit far away from the old quarters but its ok as we had e bike. We stay upstairs room so its a bit difficult to climb the stairs but its ok for young people. Room is big and the windows are so rustic. Bed also comfortable. Thank you for giving an awesome stay in this vintage hotel.

I had a warm and cozy stay here — it felt just like staying at a friend’s house. The price was great, and the location was perfect, right by the Mekong River. There are many restaurants and small shops in front of the guesthouse, and it’s also close to the night market. The Chinese receptionist was very friendly. We communicated through a translation app, and they helped me with everything. They even invited me to join them for lunch every day during my 3-night stay. The Google Maps location might not be perfectly accurate, so you may need to go about 100 meters further. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Luang Prabang.

Nava Luang Prabang, located 900 m. from Luang Prabang Night Market on Kham Khong Road - Mekong waterfront read, was a small lovely hotel with 15 clean accommodating rooms. Its rooms had relatively oversized beds with relatively firm mattresses and fully equipped amenities. 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water were provided in each rooms with also complimentary replenishment once requested. Due to its special policy, there was no TV set in all of its rooms. Its bathrooms were in the right size with quality bathroom fixtures and real hot (not warm) water. It had a receptionist standing by 24-7 at its welcome lobby. All of them were friendly and attentive. With its present room rates, its overall quality was beyond expectations.

The staff and owner are absolutely wonderful and friendly. You have to take off your shoes, which is a minor inconvenience but doesn't really detract from the experience. The location is excellent for walking to all the popular spots. It's located down an alley, so it's very quiet with not much noise. The room is a bit old but clean and tidy.

I booked a twin room and it didn’t disappoint, the bed was just the right level neither too hard nor too soft. They provide daily cleaning and fresh change of towels. The breakdast is plated and needs to be ordered the evening before. They have a good selection of baguette and choice of how you want your eggs, other Asian breakfast choices are also available like congee or rice noodles. Do note that this property is on the other side of the Xanamkhan river from the heritage area, so it is a bit far from where the main attractions are. But, the guesthouse provides bicycles for rent. This location does offer some advantage, it is in a “locals” area so guests have access to a local market as well as restaurants that serve truly Lao cuisines and at very affordable prices. The property owner is friendly and quite attentive to us guests, he always asks us if we have everything we need and if there is anything they can provide. Considering all, if and when I’ll go back to Luang Prabang in the future, I will definitely consider staying here again.

The location is nearby to riverside, walking distance to night market which deserve the praise , but the building is a antique feature with mostly wooden structure. The breakfast is a walking distance and beside Mekong river.
