Huangshan Tunxi District Hotels

Super location and very nice staff. We ordered an airport pickup to the hotel with the trip app and our driver contacted the hotel to let them know when we arrived so that a staff member could pick us up by the road. Super cozy streets around the hotel. My room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, noodles and dumplings. On our second day we asked the staff to recommend a driver to take us to different hot spots and we got a very nice driver at an affordable price. Will definitely stay here again.

The location is superb, right inside Tunxi Old Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The rooms are quite spacious, especially the bathrooms, which are large and very comfortable to use. It's spotlessly clean and offers fantastic value for money. They even offered complimentary handmade ice jelly and provided a dedicated pick-up service from the station. Parking was also convenient. The staff were warm and welcoming, providing attentive service. In particular, the front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful, offering detailed reminders and showing genuine care.

We were not too sure what to expect from our first China trip so it was with much relief to receive such warm welcome and care when we reach our accomodation in Tunxi. Not only is our hotel a beautifully well-kept centuries-old heritage building, the service rendered by the staff was the highlight of our trip. They made special arrangements for us to have our breakfast (and it was a awesome breakfast too!) earlier as we were trying to reach Huangshan as early as possible. On our way back, we decided to stay one more night here as my friend was unwell. It felt like we were coming home, when we reached the hotel the second time. The staff even helped us to find a drugstore for us to buy some medicine to treat the stomach upset. My friend was really grateful for help rendered. This place is stunningly beautiful! It is hidden from the main street, very cute, very atmospheric. There are many details around and inside this old mansion. The service was great too, we had a great time and refined this place sincerely.

Just realized on my way home that I forgot to take pictures of the room. Guess I'll have to describe my stay at this hotel in words instead: 1. We arrived by car on a Sunday afternoon, and immediately, a gentleman in a white shirt came up to guide us to the parking area. That first impression of the hotel was excellent. 2. Stepping into the lobby, the public areas were truly spacious. Check-in was on the right. I personally love these older hotels – this one is 13 years old – because if they're well-maintained, they're just as good as new ones. Hotels built in the past really invested in quality materials. 3. About the front desk: during check-in, they meticulously explained every benefit. Later, when I wanted to buy something from a third-party vending machine and wasn't sure if the item I wanted was inside, they patiently retrieved the key, opened the cabinet so I could verify before making the purchase. 4. Afterward, we dined at the Chinese restaurant. One young lady handled everything seamlessly – from welcoming us, taking our order, serving, and finally, settling the bill. There wasn't a single hiccup. She even asked about our dining experience at the end – highly impressed! The Chinese restaurant's dishes were also excellent; I really enjoyed both the taste and presentation. 5. About two hours after checking into our room, we received a follow-up call asking about our stay experience. They were able to reach us promptly, and I could tell from their tone that they were genuinely interested in whether we were enjoying our stay. 6. The hotel rooms feature a dark-toned design, which is typical of older hotels – they used to favor dark red wood finishes. While the lighting was a bit dim, the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Our King room even had two large sofas, perfect for lounging and relaxing on vacation. Absolutely loved it! 7. At breakfast the next morning, after asking for our room number, the staff consistently addressed us by our surname throughout – from showing us to our table, bringing shrimp dumplings, to pouring coffee and tea. Being addressed by name three times, what more could I ask for? Absolutely flawless, haha! 8. Breakfast was decent, meeting a good standard. However, when I went to get fried dumplings, they were initially unavailable but then suddenly brought out. My suggestion would be to fry them fresh. When they're taken out of a warming cart, they tend to be cold inside with a dry, unappetizing skin. Perhaps the kitchen was too busy that morning, which I can understand. 9. Just a small suggestion: the complimentary farewell gift provided by the restaurant when we checked out was very thoughtful – perfect for a snack on the road. However, perhaps it's best not to include pears, haha. The word 'pear' (梨 lí) sounds like 'separate' (离 lí) in Chinese, which isn't ideal, especially if it's a couple staying. Haha, just joking, of course! I hope the hotel continues to maintain its excellent standards and improve even further. Apologies for the lack of photos!

I visited Liyang Old Street during the day and Tunxi Old Street at night. They were two different experiences. Liyang Old Street is newer. It is a place where the old is moved to the new, with a strong sense of modernity, suitable for walking city. Tunxi Old Street is more substantial and has more of a sense of history. Walking on the thousand-year-old bluestone slabs, it feels like you are having a conversation with history. The hotel we stayed in at night had a comfortable environment and was just opposite Tunxi Old Street, with an excellent location. The hotel service is very enthusiastic, the front desk is gentle and lovely, the service is considerate, the guidance is very professional, and they patiently answer questions and help us explain the delicious and fun things. It is very good and must be praised. 5⭐ recommended for staying.

I have stayed in this inn three or four times. I chose it without hesitation this time. The environment is very good and the location is also very good. It is very convenient to walk around the old street. It is also very quiet. I brought my children here this time and they were able to rest well at night. Because there are only me and my child, I booked the smallest room. The waterproofing of the bathroom is not good. The toilet and shower are together. It is not convenient to take a shower. The toilet bowl gets wet when taking a shower. Also, the latest check-out time for booking on Ctrip is 2 o'clock. Because I brought my child with me, I asked the owner and he said that the latest check-out time is 1 o'clock...

The location is very convenient. There is an old street downstairs. It is not noisy at night. Xin'an River is a little further ahead. It is very comfortable to enjoy the breeze at night. The front desk also prepared souvenirs and upgraded the guest room. It is very considerate!

I came to Huangshan with my sister, made a guide in advance, read many reviews, and finally chose this B&B because it is very convenient to be picked up by the high-speed rail! ! ! Facilities: The room facilities are smart and new! Zero-pressure mattress makes sleeping very comfortable! Cleanliness: The room is clean and tidy! ! ! Environment: This is a relatively new B&B! The entire courtyard is full of atmosphere, with restaurants, cafes, gyms, mahjong rooms and laundry rooms! The owner’s intentions are reflected in everything! ! ! Service: What makes me most satisfied is the service! The staff are very welcoming! He planned a travel route for us and explained it in detail, and his attitude was great! The courtyard of this B&B is very large, and the photos are particularly photogenic! Highly recommended! ! ! !

Staff member Xiao Wang provided incredibly proactive, helpful, and polite service, leaving a fantastic impression. The bedding in the room was spotlessly clean and fresh, with no unpleasant odors. The balcony offered beautiful views and was a perfect spot to relax. The restaurant's dishes were delicious and suited my taste very well. Overall, I had an excellent experience, and I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again in the future.
