We wanted to just love this place, but there were enough little problems to only rate it 3 stars. Parking is a HUGE problem. There are a limited amount of spaces in front with zero room to maneuver your car to fit in a space. There is a public lot right next door, but there is a fee (we were there in mid-May before they imposed it). We were in the Waterfront King Suite. The room was lovely and had a great view. However, getting hot water was inconsistent. We had noisy neighbors who we could hear using the hairdryer at 6:42am, and shouting down the hall and slamming their door at 7:30am. At 10:45pm there were sounds like chairs being dragged over hardwood for about 30 minutes. They do give you an opportunity to order breakfast that is delivered to your room and a time you specify. However, both days I had rancid milk for my coffee. I wrote a note to the staff after the first morning, and they served spoiled milk to me again on the second morning!! The food was also vastly under seasoned. I ordered the quinoa bowl both days and got two totally different dishes. And, my wife's potatoes were completely burnt. So for the money we spent on the room, I cannot recommend this place due to parking, noise, and food quality.

Lovely location. Room was huge and super comfy. Staff were all lovely. Included breakfast very tasty. Overall fantastic experience doing the fall foliage package. Parking a little tight at times. Lots to see and do in the area and plenty of places to eat right there.

What a wonderful hotel in one of my favorite towns in Maine. The Grand Harbor Inn is located in the heart of Camden right next to the bay. It’s a small boutique hotel with about 10 rooms. Our room was very clean and quite large with a separate living room and a balcony that overlooked the bay. The bathroom was also large and had both a shower and a jacuzzi tub. Though the hotel does not have a restaurant, your stay includes an in-room breakfast which was simple but great. Also, the hotel provides guesses with a $10 discount card at a craft cocktail bar located next door - be sure not to miss this place and their amazing beverages! Though the Grand Harbor Inn is a bit on the pricier side, I highly recommend staying there when in Camden. It’s worth staying at a nice hotel when you’re visiting such a wonderful Maine coastal town. This is one of those hotels!

Camden is a great town and this hotel is very comfortable and well placed. We stayed in room 4, a deluxe waterfront room, which was large and well appointed. The balcony is amazing providing a view of the harbour - fantastic to sit with a coffee and watch the windjammers and other craft go about their business. Get one of these rooms as they really make the stay. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast, provided in the room, was good too. Parking can be tricky but the hotel staff will help sort things out if you don't initially get a space. We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed it. This time we had some issues, which was a shame, since we had spent a bit more on the room than usual ($600 per night) seeing as it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Pros; Our room, number 4 was lovely. Very comfortable bed, great pillows and well equipped bathroom added up to a very nice environment. They provide a Nespresso, small fridge, bottled water and microwave; all very much appreciated. The balcony with harbor view was the best and we just loved sitting out there at all times of the day. Cons; Where do I start? First of all, check in was a fiasco. All done remotely, I checked us in, had to read pages of rules etc, signing as I went. I even had to provide a pnoto for ID. OK, but when we checked in they asked again for my ID. Frankly, I thought it was excessive. Then they sent my husband an identical check in request before arrival.. Since we were sharing a room, I asked if this was a mistake and was told by Nicolai that it was and it was just an automated message. Come to find out when we arrived and checked in, they told my hisband that our check in could not be initiated until my husband also read through all the pages of rules and signed as well. We’ve never had this happen anywhere else ever and we have traveled a bit. First night the TV didn’t work, which they did fix but it was inconvenient. Breakfast was another disappointment. For the price we paid, there was limited choice and the first day we ordered the hot entree which was very unappetizing and greasy. The “artisnal” pastries were just muffins, 2 days in a row. It honestly did not seem as if any thought had gone into providing something special. We have had better at a Hampton Inn! Finally, the last day we went for a walk and they invalidated our room key an hour before we were supposed to check out. When I brought all these issues to their attention, there was little interest. In fact, they texted asking how our stay was and never responded. I would have preferred to handle these issues in person rather than review, but they did not want to know. So, would we return? Maybe if things change but we will definitely explore our options.

I absolutely love the Grand Harbor Inn. We stay there every February while competing in the Toboggan Nationals, and we love it because it’s beautiful, comfortable, and a very short walk to town where there are restaurants and shops and a park overlooking the harbor. We’ve stayed in four different suites at the Grand Harbor and have loved all of them. The beds are wonderful with high quality linens and each has 4 luxurious pillows that are the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever used. The pillows are SO NICE!!! The bathrooms in the suites are amazing, with large jetted tubs and glass-walled rainfall showers. Everything is very clean. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and they have cookies in the lobby in the afternoons. The suites where we’ve stayed all had balconies and gas fireplaces. Some of the suites have nicer views than others. Some overlook the harbor directly and others face the waterfall, parking lot, and town. We most recently stayed in room 7 (the Two Queen Grand Suite) which doesn’t have the views of the Curtis Island Suite or Grand Waterfront Suites, but there are large windows along one wall that face the waterfall and town (and parking lot) and we loved all the light they let in. We especially liked that you can close a pocket door between the living room area and bedroom. Parking is sometimes challenging but that’s the only thing I can think of about Grand Harbor that isn’t perfect.

Beautiful and comfortable suite with gorgeous views! We loved every moment of our stay. The weather was gloomy so we sat in front of the cozy fire and basked in beautiful views of Camden Harbor and the mountains. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and private. I do think in the summer it would feel less private, but there are lovely drapes for privacy and light, so it probably would not be an issue. The staff was professional and kind and efficient- we truly enjoyed having breakfast delivered to our room every morning. I’m writing this from our room and never want to leave, so we will be back as soon as possible. Did I mention that this hotel is within walking distance to lots of fabulous restaurants, coffee places, shops and lovely walks? Delightful!

Grand Harbor Inn is amazing. The entire property was immaculately clean and well maintained. Our suite was so comfortable and roomy. We had a beautiful view of the harbor. The breakfast was delicious each day and we loved the privacy of having it served in our suite. The staff are very very helpful and friendly, offering us ideas on restaurants and things to do and see. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We have always stayed at this property when in Camden. Its at least 3-4 times) The HUGE plus is, it's right on the Harbor, so the views are great! This time we were disappointed. First, our fireplace didn't work! Maintenance came and it still didn't work! Breakfast was good, but they never added the extra cream or sugar I requested for our coffee. Quiche was always cold. Same Blueberry muffin every day! and those were not as good as they once were either. While the rooms are spacious, in my opinion...this property is in need of a MAJOR update! It just looks tired and rundown these days. Some of furnishings are certainly showing it, too.
