I really enjoyed stay in this place. Room was very large, with one extra bad more than we needed. Location is good - few km drive from the park entrance. Hotel is located lightly away from the main road, making it quiet and also has its own quiet external seating seating are near the entrance. Toilet is also quite large, although it is the simply equipped squat seat style of toilet. In general however at 270 RMB - this room was very reasonably prices considering proximity of park, and the fact we stayed there on Saturday during Golden Week. Hotel accept foreigners which is a massive plus, and not easy to find during current situation. Location is very good when restaurants are considered: 100m along the main road there is a highly rated hot pot place. Across the steer there is the Hilton complex with several fancy chinese restaurants, pharmacy, and even western styled Hard Rock Caffe. We had no problem with finding parking place (hotel helped us). The BEST THING about this place however is the service. Just Wonderful! I have tried to visit Jzhuzhaikou 3 times in the past each time unsuccessfully. First time before earthquake i was denied ticket (foreigners cant pre-book, and trying to book at the entrance i was sent away told soonest date is in few weeks). Two other times i visited after earthquake, when victors were limited to small numbers but still possible. At this time i tried to used agents to book me a ticket but it was unsuccessful. This time i asked JIUZHAIGANGJIANZHIJIAMINSU HOTEL to help me pre-book the tickets - and they 100% managed to do it for me and my friend. It was a little complicated process but we managed and i was able to finally visit the famous park! So Happy. We walked 36km with my friend and hiked all the park from sunrise to sunset. Couple of tips. Park opens 7am. We left hotel 6:20 - but as it was golden week traffic was super slow, and we ended up driving 1h to the park entrance area. Parking near park entrance was a little troublesome. The first parking was already packed before even park opening. We ended up parking on the third parking around 1km beyond the entrance area which cost us 100 rmb for 12h. If you would also travel during golden week - It might make more sense to park the car before reaching the park entrance if you are able to find a spot, or perhaps take a bus.
