"I booked this room after seeing an ad on social media, but then I saw the terrible reviews on Ctrip. I took a chance, hoping I'd get a newly renovated room. Turns out, I hit the jackpot (in a bad way): 1. The room was incredibly old. The bathtub looked just as creepy and terrifying as in other users' photos. 2. The room had a musty smell, a really old, stale musty smell. 3. For our pre-booked dinner, we were led to a small section far from the ocean view window. I noticed that all four or five tables that dined there after us were also Chinese speakers. 4. The dinner and sashimi weren't fresh; the fish meat was discolored internally. **After leaving the hotel, the more I thought about it, the more something felt off. I'm not sure if it was my nationality being targeted, or if Ctrip was being targeted.** 5. I found that the room type offered on Ctrip couldn't be found on Japanese websites. 6. I also found that the dinner booked through Ctrip was different from what was offered on Japanese websites."

"The room face the ocean. Nice view. But the time to go onsen is rather limited in the morning, so it was a bit rush. Onsen closes at 930am to 11am. Check out is 10am. And breakfast last entry is 9am. You need to wake up early to enjoy the onsen. Dinner was served in the room. Although we enjoyed the privacy and the hot food, it made the room smell a little. Breakfast was buffet which had a lot of varieties!"

"A quiet onsen town, with traditional Japanese rooms. It's slowly becoming commercialized, and fewer places offer dinner and breakfast served in your room these days. This stay, however, was a great experience. Since it was our anniversary, the staff even arranged for us to have a pair of mandarin ducks in our room. They took photos of us and gifted them to us at check-out, which was a lovely touch. We visited on a weekday, so the public bath felt almost like a private one. Enjoying the public bath all to ourselves, gazing at the ocean and listening to the waves, was incredibly relaxing. The hotel's shuttle bus is super convenient, getting guests to Izu-Atagawa Station in just a minute."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed. While the breakfast was supposed to be included, it was severely lacking. Despite having set meal times, there was no effort to replenish the food, and by the last serving, only bread, milk, vegetable, and soup were available. Considering the high prices for both the accommodation and meals, the quality simply didn't match the cost. Additionally, while the onsen was nice, it wasn't particularly impressive. On the positive side, the rooms were newly renovated, but I found it inconvenient that there were no en-suite bathrooms. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made."

"The scenery of the hotel is first-class, not to mention the unparalleled sea view! Before, I was looking forward to taking the train to Shimoda. After checking in, I compared the hotel's one and it was invincible. The service is first-class, not only in terms of service attitude, but also in terms of service quality. The impression is very good. It can be said that it is meticulous and provides everything imaginable! The hotel package provides two meals. We chose morning and evening meals and stayed for two nights. The meals were different every day, which was great! The food standard is the highest during our stay in Japan, both the ingredients and the taste are top-notch."

"There is a bus from Shimoda Station at 2:00 or 3:00 and it takes 20 minutes to reach the hotel. There is Yumigahama Beach, but there are no attractions and no businesses. It is deserted and remote. The hotel is too old and even more deadly. You can only hear the sound of waves in the lobby and guest rooms, but you can't see the sea. It was tightly covered by pine trees, and my room could see the large bathing pool. The hot springs were very average. The Japanese-style room I booked had an unpleasant smell. It was dirty, old and shabby. The breakfast was too basic and tasteless. There is no such a shabby hotel. There is no place to stay. It is very old. I checked out at nine in the morning and took the transportation. I walked quickly for nearly 1,700 yuan without dinner. I am now 1,800 yuan in Kamenoi. The brand new executive sea view includes two meals. It should be a bad review for Biji Tour, but the service attitude is not bad. The hotel is not worth visiting at all."

"This is my second time staying here. Last time I stayed in a small room in the East Wing, but this time I stayed in a Deluxe Terrace Twin A in the West Wing. The price was higher, but it was the right choice considering the size and the great view. It was also close to the large public bath, which was nice. Dinner was shabu-shabu, and the portions were ample. It also came with a whole boiled golden-eyed snapper, which was very delicious. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. I enjoyed talking to several staff members who had been transferred from Akakura. The variety of food has increased since my last stay, and I would like to stay for another night."

"Guest review (Casa della Nonna/Villa Ajito) While staying at Casa della Nonna, my husband was bitten by a centipede in the bathroom. Shortly after getting rid of the bite, he felt a sharp pain. He contacted the hospital and received first aid and over-the-counter medication. Fortunately, the symptoms were mild, but he was unable to move for a while. Then, when he went to bed, another centipede appeared on the bed in our bedroom. We tried using insecticide, but it didn't kill it, and we spent a sleepless night anxiously. The next day, we notified the staff and were told we could be transferred to another facility, Villa Ajito. We were relieved, but then we discovered another centipede stuck to the tray of towels that came with our welcome drinks in the refrigerator. It's terrifying to think what might have happened if it had been used to wipe our face. We contacted the staff, who, after checking the scene, offered a simple apology, but no further explanation or action was provided, leaving us with many questions. Considering the risk of pests, I felt a strong sense of distrust as to whether this service was worth the high accommodation fee, even though sufficient inspections and countermeasures were required. The facility itself is well designed and has a private feel, which I think is wonderful. However, I am very disappointed that the current management and operation system does not allow me to stay with peace of mind."

"In recent years, Nishiizu has become a standard place to start the year. I can't forget the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji turning pink over Suruga Bay. Plus, the Ishigaki strawberries from Mt. Kuno are also delicious! You can't see Mt. Fuji from the room here, but the sunset over the sea of Dogashima was spectacular and amazing. I watched it all the time on the daybed in the second room. I'm over 60 years old and can't eat as much as I want, so food has become a low priority for me at accommodations, but I was very satisfied with both the quantity and quality of this accommodation. Even if the word of mouth says it's delicious, it's often not that good, so I didn't have high expectations, sorry, it was a pleasant surprise. I don't think this is a "luxury accommodation" based on the regular price range. The luxurious rooms, food, and amenities are as expected. That's not because the staff are foreigners other than the payer, but because the staff's education and career are still in the early stages. After all, it can't be compared to "Fufu", where the customer service is as expected. But that's not to say I'm dissatisfied. Their hard work and politeness make me want to support them. I want to pray for their future success as they build their careers. I would like to recommend this place to those who are not looking for a "luxury inn" but are looking for a spectacular view, delicious food, and comfortable, hard-working service. Finally, the open-air bath on the terrace is too straight from the sofa in the main room (living room), so I would like some kind of privacy. Blind shutters are lowered from above, so they are not suitable for privacy from below. We are an elderly couple who have been married for 37 years, and we don't want to be seen relaxing in the hot water, and we don't want to be seen (laughs). This is a flexible inn with ideas for customers everywhere, so I would like some kind of simple privacy that only those who want it can attach, like the removable terrace fence so that you can look at the sea while soaking in the hot water. I will come back to enjoy the delicious food, the Nishiizu sunset, and the hard-working staff. Thank you for your help."

"Personality & Staff ◎ They were very friendly, kind, and attentive. They are quite experienced, but very reliable. They made up the futons for us and set up the room for our meals, which was very reassuring. Food ◎ As expected of Minami-Izu, the sea bream, sashimi, soup, and white rice were all very delicious. The portions were generous and it was as luxurious as it looked online. Since it was room service, we didn't have to go anywhere and could eat at our leisure in our own room. Guests ◎ Most of the guests were families. When searching for this hotel online, there were some strange comments about mixed bathing, but there was absolutely no sign of that, so we were relieved. Hot Springs ⚪︎ I think it's the same for all hotels in this area, but the water quality is good. Facilities ▲ The room itself was spotless and the cleaning was thorough. However, the room is in a dilapidated state, either having been renovated since the late Showa bubble era or not. The Japanese-style toilet had been converted to a Western-style one. Also, the bathroom in the room is so old that it's practically unusable, so I recommend using the private bath. Also, the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the people next door talking loudly. (Caution) If you don't smoke, you'll immediately notice the smell of cigarette smoke, so I recommend checking carefully when making a reservation to see if there's a strong smell of cigarettes. (I think this inn was built during the bubble economy era, so it's somewhat unavoidable.) There's a DAIKIN air conditioner in the room, but when you turn it on, the smell of cigarettes spreads throughout the room. If the facilities were better, it would be a good inn."
