The breakfast and dinner buffets were the same each day, with no changes in variety on the second day."

"Excellent, I almost wished I could cancel my Fuji hotel and stay here longer. This time we stayed in room 103. For transportation, the hotel offers pick-up and drop-off at the subway station. I recommend emailing the hotel with your itinerary in advance so they can pick you up promptly at Okawa Station. As for the room, everything was great except for the small toilet, weak shower pressure, and some bugs in the outdoor bath area. If you mind the low water pressure in the room, you can always use the downstairs public bath, which feels like a private onsen. For service, there's a lovely lady from Taiwan who speaks Mandarin, and other staff members communicate perfectly fine in English. The hotel's dinner was also quite good. Just a heads up, there aren't many dining options nearby; the 7-11 is about an 8-minute walk away."

"In any case, Izu-Atagawa has declined! Like a forgotten old woman, such beautiful sea views and hot springs have been abandoned! Its glory days are long gone! This inn is one of the better family-run inns in the area, but it also hired several Indians. I don't have any prejudice against them, but I just feel that the atmosphere is different when Indians are there! The elderly gentleman and lady were very kind and waited for me to have dinner every night. Only when I saw them did I feel like I was staying at a Japanese hot spring inn. I wish them good health!"

"We stayed for one night and two days. We were very satisfied with the all-you-can-eat dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed everything from fish and meat to dessert. The hotel staff were also very helpful. Depending on the season, there were insects flying around in the open-air bath in the room at night. Morning baths are the best. However, it is completely visible from the outside (parking lot, etc.). There are places to enjoy such as "Animal Kingdom" and "Izu Granpal Park" within a short drive from the hotel, so I would recommend traveling by car."

"The room offered breathtaking views, and the private onsen overlooked the sea. The hotel itself is quite small, so there aren't many rooms. It's a bit far from the main tourist areas, but it's an excellent value for money if you're just looking to enjoy a hot spring bath with a sea view. It's a ten-minute walk to Kawazu Station. The service was incredibly attentive and warm, making for a superb experience. There are also two public baths downstairs that you can reserve for private use. Plus, you get to choose a new yukata design every day."

"I booked this room after seeing an ad on social media, but then I saw the terrible reviews on Ctrip. I took a chance, hoping I'd get a newly renovated room. Turns out, I hit the jackpot (in a bad way): 1. The room was incredibly old. The bathtub looked just as creepy and terrifying as in other users' photos. 2. The room had a musty smell, a really old, stale musty smell. 3. For our pre-booked dinner, we were led to a small section far from the ocean view window. I noticed that all four or five tables that dined there after us were also Chinese speakers. 4. The dinner and sashimi weren't fresh; the fish meat was discolored internally. **After leaving the hotel, the more I thought about it, the more something felt off. I'm not sure if it was my nationality being targeted, or if Ctrip was being targeted.** 5. I found that the room type offered on Ctrip couldn't be found on Japanese websites. 6. I also found that the dinner booked through Ctrip was different from what was offered on Japanese websites."

"A really nice resort hotel. The room was spacious, and the private onsen bath was very clean. The peculiar smell was likely from the tatami mats. We had the hotel's set menu for breakfast but didn't have dinner at the hotel. The supermarket next to Izu Kogen Station offers abundant sashimi, enough to eat your fill. The photos show the places we visited during our stay, and it was all very relaxing. Having seen some less favorable reviews, let me share my own experience. The hotel's occupancy is highly seasonal, so there might not be many staff members, but they all provided attentive service. During our stay, the station pick-up and drop-off service was always well-arranged. When I'm on vacation, I prefer to relax and not be disturbed, so I opted out of daily room cleaning. I've stayed at some older Japanese-style hotels, similar to those in areas like Shikoku's Oboke, and this level of service is pretty typical. Of course, perhaps I just haven't visited enough Japanese resort hotels to generalize. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. Don't set your expectations too high, but it delivers on all the essentials for a relaxing getaway."

"Very disappointing stay. Nobody can speak even basic English but hey we are in Japan so we made as much effort as we could to be understood. We arrived at 4:30pm and as soon as they show us the room they kept pushing us to have dinner at 5:30 which we found a bit too early. We could manage to push it to 6:30pm finally… we get this pretentious French menu (filled with spelling mistakes) and served very blend food for dinner. When it gets to the main course, we got served beef, which we told we cannot eat already upon reservation one month earlier. That’s when they say it’s not true until I show them their confirmation that no beef will be served in both Japanese and English. Then 3 people were debating what to do for 15 minutes until we decide it was time to call it a night. Quite disappointed not because of the mistake but about all the confusion and hassle. We were simply trying to have a good stay and a nice dinner — both did not happen. We surely would not recommend such an expensive place that cannot accommodate simple requests. Also, the property is located just above the national road, which is quite noisy and with a pretentious heavy decor. We should have chosen a traditional ryokan."

"I fell in love with Izu because of this hotel All the front desk staff are very friendly The handsome driver at the front desk, the beautiful Chinese front desk staff, and the lovely other staff all made me feel warm. I am a patient with depression. When I came to this hotel, I felt happy. I even shed tears when I moved to a new hotel after checking out. The hotel I stayed in the next day was completely incomparable to Cuiguang. I regretted not staying there! Dinner was very delicious. Everything was so clean and hygienic. I like the Pure Light Hotel. I like the room assigned to me. thank you I love you all! Looking forward to seeing you next time! Thank you to the man at the front desk for seeing us off at ten o'clock! See you next time! Remember us! The little milk is also delicious!"

We booked a Japanese-style room for four people on the same day, and the waiter had already prepared the tatami bed. However, there are not many restaurants nearby! But it’s about 10 to 15 minutes away to the night cherry blossom light-up and bamboo lanterns site for the 27th Minami-Izu Cherry Blossom and Rape Blossom Festival!"
