This is the best hotel for this trip to Japan, and it is also the hotel with the best value for money. I will stay here for a few more days if I have the chance. The hotel is on a cliff by the sea, with new facilities and a sense of design. The rooms, restaurant and hot springs are decorated and arranged very carefully. All of them are sea view rooms, and the windows are large floor-to-ceiling glass, with an unobstructed view of the sea view, which is very enjoyable. The restaurant's breakfast and dinner ingredients are fresh, and the ingredients and plating are very particular. The main focus is on seafood, and the portions are full. The staff is warm, thoughtful and meticulous in their service. The hotel also provides free shuttle bus service from Atagawa Station to the hotel. It is a very cost-effective hotel, highly recommended

ZhentianI booked a standard sea-view room and made a reservation in advance, so the hotel arranged a shuttle bus to pick us up from and drop us off at Izu-Inatori Station. To be honest, the room was a bit old and the hygiene was just so-so, but the half-board (dinner and breakfast) was absolutely amazing! There was a wide variety of sashimi, lobster soup, shabu-shabu with pork and matcha-infused broth, and a whole stewed splendid alfonsino – super satisfying! Even the cheesecake for dessert was delicious! Breakfast was equally exquisite and abundant, with both Japanese and Western options. We ate to our heart's content. As for the hot springs, there are two baths, and I highly recommend the open-air bath on the 5th floor. From 5 AM, you can soak in the hot spring while watching the sunrise over the ocean, and I had it all to myself – it was incredibly refreshing 🌅

LaoruanshirashaWe were extremely satisfied with our stay at this hotel in Atagawa. Every corner of the hotel was thoughtfully decorated, and the staff were very welcoming. The same young man handled both check-in and check-out, and we communicated fluently in English throughout. He provided detailed information, and since we hadn't booked dinner, he proactively recommended several nearby restaurants and local specialties. We even tried the nearby restaurants ”Nishiki” and ”Oboro.” He was especially considerate when we checked out, offering to drive us to the station – a very thoughtful gesture.
During our stay, we also enjoyed the two outdoor onsen rooms on the third floor. Soaking in the hot spring while listening to the sound of the waves was truly relaxing.
I highly recommend experiencing this hotel in Atagawa.

The room we stayed in was very big, a Western-style room with two mattresses and a massage chair. The hotel's open-air hot spring bath has a great view, facing the sea. The breakfast and dinner were very rich, and the staff also thoughtfully gave each of us a lunch box when we went out in the morning. I felt that the value of the room fee was reflected in the meals. The hotel will have a free shuttle bus at Izu Atagawa Station before 4 pm every day, every hour and 30 minutes, and every half hour, so you can easily get to the hotel if you calculate the time.

Anonymous UserDuring my two-week trip in Japan, this was unfortunately the worst hotel I stayed at.
First of all, the price is not cheap, but the level of service does not match the cost. When I arrived at the parking area, there were many empty parking spaces available, yet I was not allowed to use them and had to park in a charging station space instead, which was confusing and inconvenient.
The hotel lobby looks luxurious and impressive, but the guest rooms are extremely outdated and feel like they have not been renovated since the 1980s. The bathroom sink was unusually low, and I had to bend down every time I washed my face or brushed my teeth, which became quite uncomfortable.
The only real advantage of this hotel is the view, which is indeed beautiful. However, at this price point, there are many better options available.
Another thing that I found very unpleasant was the loudspeaker announcement reminding guests to check out. I personally felt this was quite impolite. If the hotel needs to remind guests about check-out, calling the room telephone would be much more appropriate. The loudspeaker announcement felt more like being told to leave immediately rather than being treated as a guest.
I also believe the hot spring tax should be clearly explained during check-in, especially if it must be paid regardless of whether guests use the bath facilities. Being informed only at check-out was disappointing and caused unnecessary confusion.
In addition, the English communication at the front desk was very limited. Unfortunately, I had difficulty understanding what the staff were trying to explain, which made the experience even more frustrating as an international traveler.
Overall, despite the beautiful view, the outdated facilities, communication issues, and service experience did not justify the price. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.
