Very nice european style hotel, beautiful design, great service.

Location is a 15-min walk from the JR station. Within walking distance from shops and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean an tidy, the bathroom is bigger than others I had in Japan. Overall good experience with the price that I paid.

Temporary changes to itinerary. Booked a hotel in Otowa no Mori. There is a pick-up and drop-off service. A very British hotel. very beautiful. I will book this hotel next time I come to Karuizawa. Ctrip’s service is also great.

The hotel can provide pick-up and drop-off, which we didn't know until the day we left. The waiter asked us if we needed to be sent to the station. There were 6 of us in the group and we had a lot of luggage, and the hotel sent it to the station for free. I guess you can call the hotel and ask them to pick you up when you get to the Shinkansen station. If you are walking, walk south for 13 minutes after exiting the Shinkansen station and turn right for 2 minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel is in a forest, and there is a church next to it. The scenery nearby is very good, and there are three choices for breakfast. Very close to the old Karuizawa sightseeing and dining street. The hotel is a bit old, but the service is still very good.
