Hotels Near Jagannath Temple in Kathmandu

The room is large and clean, the bathroom is large, and the facilities are new and newly renovated. The hotel is on a busy commercial street, but the room is quiet. When we returned to the hotel from the Monkey Temple, the front desk guy patiently told the taxi the hotel location and driving route, and waited for us at the intersection. The boss helped us to determine the fare for the two attractions with the taxi driver, and personally drove us to the airport at 5:30 in the morning, and provided take-out breakfast. The restaurant on the first floor provides Chinese food. The dishes taste very good. The boss cooks personally, and the waitress has a good attitude.

The location is in the downtown area. After entering the gate, you have to walk a long way inside to get there. It is still quite quiet. The room is not very big. The facilities are also average. The shower water is not bad. The service score is not too high, mainly because we booked so far in advance. As a result, when we arrived, they said they couldn't find our order. It took a long time. Although they looked at my order, they still said they would contact me the next day because they were not sure I paid. The other service staff were all good and greeted politely. We booked a long time in advance. We found that the price dropped as we got closer. The breakfast was good.

Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

Perfect hotel for a pleasant stay in Kathmandu. The very friendly staff made our stay perfect, always with a smile, especially our egg cook at breakfast and Ram the chef. At reception they helped us with all the questions and recommendations of the place. The rooms were very clean with everything we needed, even a coffee maker and some very tasty cookies for the coffee break, which were replenished every day, they even brought us seasonal fruit. The upstairs restaurant is a chill out type with good music and very good food. I chose this hotel because of the rating on the travel pages and YES IT IS TRUE, the rating is very high because of the good work of the staff, the very well decorated space and the central area.

Ramada keeps it's name and value, it can be seen in this hotel. The staff are friendly and caring. Though it was only a short stay but the room was good enough. The beds are comfortable and has basic amenities. The balcony has good space. It's quite and peaceful from outside. A good sleep and a good stay. Happy with the service.

It was considered a relatively high-end hotel in the Tamil area. On the first day, Ai Bian swindled a hotel in a corner, and the next day, she decided to ring. Hotel is not big, but the environment is good, quiet in the middle of noisy, breakfast is very good

The hotel facilities and sanitation are very good. The service is very enthusiastic. The hotel also gave away free breakfast. The hotel's breakfast buffet has many varieties and tastes very good. Love it 😍

Excellent choice. We had a great 3 night stay which became very convenient due to interconnecting rooms. Service was fast, walkable to Thamel, great food at Japanese K2SH and Kava restaurants. No complains except the actual room size is very small. Thanks to staff.

Place was beautiful, with bathtub and great breakfast selection. The staff were all very friendly. No view from my room (1st floor) but at least I didn’t have to climb the stairs up.

I was worried because there were no reviews from Japanese people, but the Google rating was good, so I made a reservation and it was a big hit! The design seemed new, so I asked and found out that it had just opened last month, and it was incredibly clean! (That's why I understand why there were so few reviews) I think this hotel is suitable for Japanese people, so I'll write a review. Good points •It's a new building, so it's new and clean •There are many global design outlets (there is also a USB type at the bedside) •There are two 1-liter PET bottles of water •It has a jacuzzi, sauna, and mist sauna (I didn't use it, but the mist sauna smelled so good that I wanted to use it. It seems like it would be better to bring a swimsuit.) •The breakfast is delicious! They also make masala tea! •The staff is super kind (the manager also understands a little Japanese) •It's located off the main road, so it's quiet at night! •The bed mat was firm and I slept soundly! Notes •I thought I had booked a room with a bathtub, but it wasn't available for my room type! If you need one, it might be better to inquire in advance. •I stayed for multiple nights, but cleaning was not included. I had my luggage spread out so that was better for me, but I wish they had at least changed the towels. I asked at the front desk and they gave me new towels so it was no problem! There was a currency exchange on the way to the hotel and the rate wasn't bad. Anyway, it was clean and cheap, and if I stay in Kathmandu I'll come back!
