Service is super good 👍
Take the baby to the Iwhara Ski Resort. There are more children's facilities. The hotel also has shuttle bus to and from, convenient ❤️
In addition to the poor sound insulation, the Chinese guests in the next room 401 are very noisy. The TV is also turned on loudly and affects others.
Next time I go to Tangze to play ❄️ I will choose this accommodation 👍
The best part of skiing is spending time in the midst of magnificent nature.
The NASPA Ski Garden spreads out in front of the hotel.
The ski center is fully equipped with ski rentals, a pro shop, and a ski school, so you can enjoy the best of ski resorts.
Please note that snowboarding is prohibited as this is a ski resort only.
The 800m2 large baths for men and women allow you to enjoy the natural hot springs while looking out at the magnificent nature that spreads out before you.
The spring quality is a weak alkaline simple hot spring, which is also known as a beauty bath.
From superior rooms to suites, the rooms are spacious and prioritize livability. Every space at NASPA New Otani is filled with comfort that has not been fully pursued in resort hotels until now, and comfort that satisfies even long-term stays.
The menus offered by NASPA New Otani are made with seasonal ingredients carefully selected by the chef.
Western food, Japanese food, buffets, teppanyaki, sweets, and a fusion of tradition and techniques have been created to create a masterpiece that is unique to NASPA.
After your meal, we recommend the main bar Capri, ASOBI BAR Festa, or the karaoke room.

The room was a bit dated, but the main issue was how uncomfortable the duvet was. They just had a sheet under the duvet instead of the duvet being properly covered with a duvet cover. The sheet kept getting tangled at night and wouldn't stay tucked in. The hotel's main advantage is its own ski resort. While not huge, it's perfectly fine for beginners, and only allows two-plank skiing. Plus, the hotel includes ski tickets, and there's a ski rental shop nearby, which is quite convenient. A slight annoyance was that check-in isn't until 3 PM; we arrived at 2:30 PM and had to sit in the lobby until 3. The large public bath was spacious and good for showering. On a side note, on our way back, the shuttle bus was full, so the hotel sent a separate minivan for my family, which was excellent! We really felt valued!

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the ski slopes, which is incredibly convenient.
The nearest ski resort doesn't have many runs, mostly beginner-friendly, perfect for leisurely and family ski trips. Plus, the larger Yuzawa Nakazato ski resort is only about a 10-minute walk away. Guests also get discounts at various ski resorts and ski rental shops.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from Echigo-Yuzawa, which is very convenient. The accommodation and food were also good. We had a delightful ski holiday.

The hotel's location is excellent. You can see the Yuzawa Grand Hotel nestled on the mountainside right from the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. It's about a 5-minute walk, though the large, steep slope at the hotel entrance requires careful walking, especially after a snowfall in Echigo-Yuzawa and when pushing luggage, to avoid slipping.
We booked a Japanese/Western-style room, and the hotel gave us a room on the 7th floor of the South Wing, directly facing the station. The views were absolutely superb, especially the distant mountains after a snowfall – truly the 'Snow Country' I'd imagined. The room had two beds, and a futon was set up in the Japanese-style area, making it perfect for families with two children on a ski trip.
There are two onsen (hot springs) on the hotel's first floor, and the open-air bath is particularly memorable, especially when you catch a heavy snow while soaking outdoors. An unforgettable experience!
The hotel exudes the charm of an established onsen hotel, with attentive and meticulous service. Yukata and towels are changed daily. Although the facilities show their age, they are still perfectly functional, especially the in-room mini-bar/sink area, which was convenient for eating bentos in the room after skiing each day. Oh, we didn't book breakfast or dinner; we got all our meals from the convenience store inside the station and nearby restaurants.
The hotel's excellent service was also evident in many small details, such as the free rain boots at the entrance and the weather forecasts for various ski resorts. I particularly recommend the ski rental shop right outside the hotel; they have a great attitude, reasonable prices, and the ski gear and helmets are all very new.
In summary, it was a very satisfying stay in every aspect. If I come back to Echigo-Yuzawa during the ski season, I will definitely stay here again!
This homey lodge keeps guests coming back with its great access and hand-made meals including delicious Uonuma rice. The natural beauty of Echigo Yuzawa can be enjoyed all year-round. null

I took a five-year-old child alone, the hotel was clean, there were hot spring blisters, the owner was very kind, went to the station, and also sent us to the ski slopes, and slept on tatami. The child was so happy that I ate sashimi every day. Tempura, vegetables are grown by yourself, and they are all Japanese foods. The children's acceptance is average, but Japanese milk is super delicious, very strong and very thick, especially fresh and sweet. The more you drink, the more addictive you can drink 750 ml in one breath. I still drank it after eating a large bowl of noodles.
2min walk from the West Exit of Yuzawa Station, this inn features open-air baths fed by the source spring with magnificent views and Koshihikari rice cooked in traditional metal pots.

Great ryokan to stay in if you are skiing in the echigo yuzawa area. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you to most of the ski slopes via the blue line/route shuttle bus. The rooms are big enough (japanese tatami style) and the onsens are wonderful to use after a day out in the mountains. The only issues I had were the laundry washing and drying coin machines. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers. The cost is much higher than other hotels we have been to, and the dryer was unable to dry our clothes fully. The clothes were roughly 70-80% dry, to which we hung it in our room overnight to air dry. That being said, I would still choose to stay here again as the convenience and location are unmatched.
All guest rooms feature spacious Japanese-style rooms and comfortable Western-style rooms. A barrier-free room is also available, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests of all generations. Located just a 7-minute walk from JR Echigo-Yuzawa Station, the hotel offers excellent access to nearby ski resorts, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the year. Inside the hotel, you’ll find a large open-air bath and a relaxing sauna. From your room window, you can admire the natural scenery of Echigo-Yuzawa and unwind in a truly soothing atmosphere. Dinner is served buffet-style, featuring a rich selection of local specialties unique to Echigo. Enjoy dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients to your heart’s content. With lush greenery in spring, cool mountain air in summer, colorful foliage in autumn, and beautiful snowy landscapes in winter, Echigo-Yuzawa offers a different charm in every season. At the Hotel Livemax Resort Echigo-Yuzawa, experience a moment of true relaxation and serenity.

Not far from the station, about a 5-8 minute walk, but there's a small slope, so you'll need some arm strength if you're pushing luggage. The staff were very friendly. The room had tons of amenities, so you definitely won't run out of anything. The hot water for the shower was super hot with great water pressure. Breakfast and dinner were included, and while the food was tasty, the menu was exactly the same every day.

Staff service is very good, very professional.
Ski rentals are available at the hotel, which is cheaper than ski resorts and other ski resorts.
Ski tickets at the hotel are also available at discounts.
There is also a special car transfer, when you see everyone waiting for the bus in a long queue, your special car is already waiting for you at the door, when it snows, feel warm.
It is only a 5-minute walk to Yuehou Tangyu Station and 7-11.

Everything about the service was top-notch.
The food was all delicious, and there was plenty of it to fill you up, with kaiseki cuisine even including sake, and the option to choose one dish from the menu.
After 10 PM, they offer a late-night snack called 'yonaki soba' (night-time ramen). It's quantity-limited, so when I went a little before 10 PM, many people were already waiting. The dining area has limited seating, but takeaway was an option, so I ate it in my room.
From ice cream after a bath to Yakult in the morning, I was never hungry and felt full the entire time I was at the inn. It was wonderful.
The breakfast was also voluminous, and you could have unlimited rice.
There's also a private bath. While it doesn't have a showerhead, it's a perfect space to spend time with a loved one. It was available when I went in the evening.
Overall, I was surprised by how few Japanese guests there were; most seemed to be Chinese or other Asian guests.
I'd like to stay here again when I go skiing.

Amazing
KKibiwottOne of the loveliest ryokans we've ever stayed at in Japan, wish we stayed for longer. Every part of the hotel is so beautiful and serves as a lovely photo backdrop.
There is a lounge with coffee/tea in the mornings and alcohol and snacks in the evening. There is also a playroom (suitable for infants to 6years old).
Service is top notch, everyone is so helpful and friendly. Extremely easy to communicate with them as the staff can speak English well. They gave us a map and told us where we could go for food or to the ski resorts and gave a lot of local advice.
They provide all the amenities you need. They even have rain boots that you can borrow and wear in case your shoes are not waterproof. It snowed heavily while we were there and the staff are super attentive - they asked where we were headed to and suggested for comfort, that we wear the hotel's rain boots as they knew my partner's shoe wasn't waterproof/suitable to walk through the snow.
Rooms are very clean, big and comfortable (only that the futons are a little thin).
The onsens are rather small, but the outdoor onsen is so beautiful.
They provide a shuttle service to the train station (upon request) , although it is a relatively short walk - 5mins - and easy to walk if there is no snow. 7 eleven right next to the train station and New Days inside the train station.
We loved every single thing about this charming lovely hotel and we will definitely be back if we are in Echigo Yuzawa.
GGuest UserThe best stay ever with exceptional service and super gorgeous room + private onsen. We enjoyed a complimentary welcome drink and dessert before they showed us to our room. The loft style japanese room was stunning, decorated with tasteful details. The best part was of course the onsen, we could watch snow as we enjoyed the soak. There was also a massage chair in the room haha.
The breakfast that we added on was really delicious too. The hotel provides pick up service to and fro train stations nearby, make sure to check with them prior to your arrival.
Something that warms our hearts is their quality service, e.g. they would warm our shoes before we head out as it was snowing outside etc.
Location wise, it's very near to Gala Yuzawa station. However, I think most restaurants are closer to Echigo Yuzawa station. So we would take a short walk there every night for dinner instead.
RRona LiA truly enjoyable stay with beautiful views and a wonderful atmosphere
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view from the room was amazing, and the Japanese-style room added a special touch that made the experience feel authentic and relaxing. I also loved the library and the overall cultural atmosphere of the hotel -- it created a calm and inspiring environment.
The movie experience offered by the hotel was a great addition and made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was also excellent: very nice, beautifully presented, and delicious.
Overall, it was delightful stay, and I would love to come back again.
GGuest UserThe service was excellent. The shuttle bus picked us up and dropped us off at Yuzawa Station East Exit, and it only took 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The outdoor onsen (hot spring) was amazing, with continuous snow-capped mountains right outside. The hotel also offers a partnership with a ski rental shop and provides transportation to various ski resorts. Dinner was served in our room and cost 7,700 JPY per person.
GGuest UserI can't give this a good review!
I've stayed at so many ryokans with dinner and breakfast included, but this Futaba really left a lot to be desired! First off, the guy at the front desk checking us in was so quiet, he didn't even give us the most basic information like which floor the hot springs were on; he just handed us an all-English hotel guide. Second, this is the only onsen hotel I've ever stayed in where the bathroom smelled, and even the carpet in the entryway by the toilet had a urine smell... Then, the hot spring was just a regular public bath, and there wasn't even an ice pop after soaking. Finally, when we left, the staff didn't help us bring our luggage from the lobby to the shuttle bus. I had to drag it to the bus myself, and then the staff finally came out to open the door and help us load it in. (We were the only family on the bus at the time) It's just a really hard experience to rate...
無無憂無慮的過日子、明天的事、明天解決Although this place isn't right on the ski slopes, they offer a shuttle service. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are friendly and can speak both Chinese and Japanese. They can also help you rent ski equipment, and the rental fees are much cheaper than at the ski center. The bathhouse has a nostalgic vibe. If you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you need to book with the owner in advance. The meals are affordable and come in generous portions. This is the best accommodation choice if you're planning a ski trip without a tour group.
Zzhi117The ski-in/ski-out access to the hotel was incredibly convenient, making it a one-stop shop for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped, and the view from the window was quite lovely. My only issue was the incredibly loud noise from some equipment that started around 6 AM each morning, waking me up three days in a row. Additionally, the hotel's dining options were all pretty mediocre and not great value for money.
AAnonymous UserThe guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient. In the mornings, you can enjoy a stroll in the nearby Takizawa Park and see the dam and waterfall. The guesthouse staff are very friendly, and the Japanese breakfast is fresh and delicious, offering slight variations each day, which truly shows their dedication to providing a great experience. Guests can also access the hot springs 24/7 for their convenience.
KKaimei KaimeiAlthough it's a new opening, the hotel's essence feels like the glory days of the 1990s, just before Japan's bubble economy burst. The exterior has been updated, but the interior still has a dated feel. The staff are all very diligent; before they spoke, I thought it was Japanese service, but once they started conversing in various Chinese accents, it felt like I was in a Chinese hotel again. The sky onsen is fantastic; soaking outdoors while gazing at the distant snowy mountains creates a scene straight out of 'Snow Country.' Especially from the hotel room window, looking out at the train tunnel instantly transports you to the Showa era.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious but ordinary. The room heater is old and traditional that made the room very dry and uneven temperature in different parts of the room. The water heater is not stable and sometimes it will shut down. The bed and pillow is uncomfortable. The hotel just beside the main road of village and our room windows are facing to the road, thus it is quite noise in the morning especially when it is raining or snowing. To be concluded, the room made us uncomfortable. Not recommended.
