Had a couple of nights stay at Le Spinaker after a gruelling 2 week trip across the length of France. We were ready to chill. The room was very nice and the bed the best I’d slept in in 2 weeks. Had trouble getting the blinds to work, but the technician seemed to sort it. The aircon was a bit of a mystery and didnt seem to respond as expected. Never figured out why. The fridge wasnt really cold enough. We ate in the hotel on the first night and the oysters and John Dory were fab. A nice Chablis from the wine list was €45 so not cheap eats. Breakfast was just adequate. No deca available at any meals. I would return if in the area but it wasnt perfect by any means.

The hotel has great potential like the location and the position but we found it highly overrated. Our room was pretty used and may at least need some new paintings. Nothing to compare with the site pictures. The pools were freezing even the heated one and no towels were available. The staff was professional but unfriendly. Both days the breakfast table was almost empty and you have to fight for the last pan Au chocolate. The worst part was the really really really overpriced dinner, not to talk about the 5€ bottle of water. Won’t come back.

The staff was friendly and inviting. The hotel was spotless and the food incredible. The owners wife sat down and provided a perfect day tour. Everyone from the hotel staff was amazing and it picturesque setting

I just want to highlight that the owner’s wife is very rude, intentionally mean and unprofessional. If you go there, please avoid being around her. I’ve never seen such a bad person. She doesn’t know how to talk to people or behave. She’s rude to both her staff and customers. To avoid!

Such a let down. Thé hotel had so much potential as the pictures look great but was let down on day 1 by the staff and specifically the owner’s wife who is incredibly rude and obnoxious. She flaunts round the hotel flirting with guests she likes / locals from around the area giving preferential treatment whilst ignoring others. The entertainment / band clearly became very friendly with other female hotel guests paying a visit to their room inappropriately. Thé kids pool had 7 beds around which are often occupied. No one commented when the kids I believe related to the owners wife spent the day in the adult only pool. They make you pay for pool towels even though there is nothing upfront on their communication about it. They insist it is normal which it isn’t given the past 3 hotels I’ve stayed in. They say they don’t provide them as the manager told me they are not a spa hotel. She needs to do her research as the word spa is in all their signage and all their marketing materials. They have scrimped on things that so many 3 star hotels would provide. Thé wifi was terrible. Thé breakfast is the most basic offering for 22€ per person and 12€ for kids. No hot food. They just provide scrambled eggs like warm as if the chef has freshly made it but clearly he hadn’t. The service was terrible with only 1 member of staff working all morning, of course whilst the owner’s wife sits and has breakfast with her preferred guests. The seagulls fly around picking up all the leftover food as one waiter can’t clear it quick enough. Overall it’s not at all thé worth the money at over 400€ per night. Stay at Hotel de la Plage 10 mins down the road with access to a private beach, plenty of restaurants within walking distance (you have to drive from Spinaker) and the staff are the most welcoming people that couldn’t do enough for you.
