Hilton Garden Inn Tupelo

Perfect place to stay when attending a concert at the arena! The check in staff was super friendly and Jessica was fun to talk to thru out our stay. Our room was clean and the food was good! I would stay here again whenever we are in town. There is a Mug Shots restaurant across the street as well.

A hotel staff was extremely nice. The rooms were rather outdated. But as clean as they could be in the beds and linens were very comfortable and soft they are due for renovation next year the 1990s decor was still kind of nostalgic. There was a little bit of mold, coming out of the air conditioning unit, but to be expected for an older hotel, awaiting renovation all in all a great stay the place was clean and comfortable.

Good things: Friendly employees! Great bartenders! Not so good: Room 328 smelled musty, furniture not in good shape. I slept with an N95 mask to avoid allergic reaction. The hotel was full so we couldn’t see if a different room would have been better.

We arrived late in the evening yet the hostess that greeted us, Lindsey, was extremely helpful and friendly!!! The rooms were spacious and very clean! Shower has containers of body soap, shampoo and conditioner!!! Parking was a breeze. There is a restaurant right next door, that while we didn’t try it, probably would have had we known it was that close.

Review of Hilton Garden Inn: Room 335 - June 17-20 Stay Terrible Place to Stay! I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn from June 17th to June 20th, and it was a major disappointment. I was in room 335, and it was far below the standard I expect from a Hilton property. Honestly, I've stayed at budget hotels that were in better condition. Here’s a rundown of the issues I faced: Bathroom Problems: The towel holders were missing, leaving just the brackets on the wall. Not only did this look bad, but it was also highly inconvenient. Lighting Issues: Several lights were not working, and one lamp was missing a bulb altogether, which made the room feel dark and unwelcoming. Poor Maintenance: The wallpaper was peeling off, and the air conditioning unit seemed to have been installed with a sledgehammer and axe. It didn't fit properly and barely worked. Terrible Bed: The bed was awful. The mattress was smaller than the king-size frame, creating an uncomfortable sleep experience. Subpar Shower: The shower was a letdown. The water pressure was low, and the hot water was lukewarm at best, making showers unpleasant. Hygiene Nightmare: To top it all off, I saw a bug, which looked like a roach, crawl across the floor when I turned on one of the working lights in the morning. Absolutely disgusting! This stay has seriously made me reconsider ever staying at a Hilton Garden Inn again. The room was so bad that I couldn’t wait to leave. I strongly suggest that anyone thinking of staying here look for another hotel until they make some serious improvements. This place is a disgrace and should be closed until they can bring it up to a standard worthy of the Hilton name. Avoid this place at all costs!

We visited Tupelo and found a room at Hilton Garden Inn on a Monday night in late June. The lady at the front desk was new, but she did a good job getting us checked in. The hotel was very clean and our room was spacious and clean with the usual amenities including a small fridge. There was some furniture in the lobby that needed recovering but it was not a deterrent. The hotel offers a guest laundry which was helpful for us. We were offered breakfast for two at an additional $10.00 and we enjoyed made to order eggs plus a small buffet with other choices. The attendant in the restaurant was very nice, I believe his name was Eddie. The hotel is located about 1.4 miles from Elvis Presley's birthplace. There are several restored older buildings in the area and the area seems very safe and clean. We would stay there again the next time we travel through Tupelo.

This is hands-down now the worst Hilton Garden Inn where I have ever stayed. You expect that a Hilton Garden Inn would be up to some basic overall standards. Not this hotel. My room had plumbing problems (leaking sink, running toilet), the A/C was loud and room was humid, which makes me wonder the last time that the filter was changed, the microwave was missing the turning plate, there were patches on the wall in the bathroom, holes in the wall, disgusting bathtub and I could go on. Now, I have stayed at this hotel many times. I stayed here over 2 years ago for 10 days and it was seriously in need of maintenance then, but nothing has been done. I was shocked. This hotel has seriously gone downhill, and the ownership should really be ashamed for not investing in the property. I cannot believe that Hilton would put its name on this hotel. The ONLY reason that I would not give this a 1 is that the staff is very friendly. The staff is not the problem. If you are wanting to stay in downtown Tupelo, stay across the street at Hotel Tupelo. In fact, when I come back to Tupelo later this year for 10 days, I will not be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. You shouldn't either.

Unfortunately this property did not meet the standards I'm used to for a Hilton Garden Inn. The room needed lots of repairs: tub rusty, missing tiles filled with silicone, spray painted over imperfections, and water damage. We reserved a two queen bed room and there was only 2 towels and one coffee. Breakfast, although looked like a normal included breakfast, was not included one family next to us wasn't told until after they ate and the charge was hefty for the quality. Ours was apparently included with hilton honors reservation but we weren't allowed to get our own food or drinks even though they were accessible. My son wanted a waffle which he didn't get until we were all done eating (and it wasn't busy). The food was subpar runny eggs etc. The staff was friendly. In hindsight I kinda wished we went to the Hampton Inn, it was less expensive and looked newer but we went to garden inn because usually they are nicer.
