The location is so great! It's only a three-minute walk from Kensington subway station! It's so convenient to travel! The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning and internet are great! We spent a few unforgettable days in London. There is a hamburger street around, and there are many hamburger restaurants! There is a Marks & Spencer supermarket not far from the hotel, which has everything you need to buy. There is also a bus stop one minute away from the hotel, which can go to London's ”Global Harbor”! The surrounding area is very safe, and there are no motorcycle gangs! The hotel staff are very nice! Finally, the hotel's Western breakfast is a set meal, which I think is delicious!

Although the room was small it was comfortable with good quality linen and towels. Fairly limited TV channels, but tea & coffee facilities. I liked the offer of free drinks if you choose to forgo daily housekeeping. The location is very good....close to the Tube, restaurants, pubs, convenience stores and supermarkets. The only fault I can think of is I would have preferred there to be an in-room safe. I will definitely choose to stay here again.

This hotel location is superb. Very very near to earls court station and earls court has different lines so it is really convenient. However it is not advisable to stay out too late as this location has quite fair bit homeless people. We stayed this hotel twice for our trip at London > Paris > London. They helped us stored our luggages when we were away to Paris for 2 days. The room we got for our first stay which was at the ground floor was very spacious and nice, had a shower (though my bf spotted mice in the room), but the second stay which was at 3rd floor was quite small that we had difficulty opening two huge luggages on the floor and you have to take a shower in the bathtub. Cleanliness is ok and they provide you some basic toiletries - shower cap, toothbrush, cotton bud, hairdryer too. Nonetheless, with the luggage storage service and location, still not bad to stay.

Reception Staff were welcoming, accommodating any requests we had made at the time of booking. They were also helpful with any requests we had made during our stay. Location was perfect - just round two corners from Earls Court tube station. Room looked as though it was being partly painted or touched up but not in the correct colour… but was clean and welcoming. The poor girl Danielle or Daniella serving breakfast in the restaurant was absolutely rushed off her feet on the Sunday when it was extremely busy and could have done with more staff on. She had to welcome every single guest, show them to their tables, make their drinks, take their hot food order, deliver the drinks and food to the tables and also clear and clean the tables for all guests all on her own. She did this all in her stride, apologising for any delays to everyone and providing service with a smile speaking in more than one language. She deserves a raise or to be paid double time in these instances! The hotel most certainly should have had more staff on to accommodate the amount of guests that there were on the Sunday and perhaps reception staff who were not busy could have assisted which would have made things much more manageable for the girl left on her own. We were glad to see that there were much more staff on the Monday. Cleaning staff for the rooms were very pleasant and they made a very good job - the rooms were spotless! All in all a very nice stay was had by us both.

The front desk arranged the room in the semi-basement without any explanation. When I asked to change it, they said there were no vacancies on the ground floor. The conditions in all aspects are average, and the cost performance is not high. The subway transportation is convenient, and it is close to the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.

I am very happy to travel alone in London this time. Ellen Hotel is a newly opened hotel. The location is very convenient. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get to the attractions by subway. The hotel can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot from earls court station. , there are many restaurant options near the hotel, as well as 2 supermarkets and drug stores, very convenient! During my stay, the staff at Ellen Hotel were very enthusiastic and helpful. I was also very happy to meet Helen, the general manager of the hotel. The hotel facilities are gradually opening and there is free self-service laundry service. However, there is only one washing machine and dryer at the moment, so you need to queue up. Waiting in line, the room is very clean and comfortable, the refrigerator provides paid wine and soda, the bed is of moderate hardness, the pillows are not too soft, there is a hot towel machine in the bathroom, and the TV can connect you to Netflix and YouTube. It can be seen that the hotel is very dedicated to providing quality services to its guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family!

This is a serviced apartment. Someone will arrange the room and clean it, which is much better than the ordinary apartment. In the separate bedroom, the two children we brought can have their own beds to sleep, and the adults can finally rest well. The kitchen facilities are very complete, there are also dishwashers and microwave ovens, that is, the washing machine actually does not have detergent, but fortunately we bring ourselves or it is quite troublesome. The hotel is some years old and the facilities are slightly outdated. Apart from the absence of slippers and toothbrushes, other bath products are also available. Hotel location is very good, 2 minutes walk from the subway station, there are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, many rankings are quite high, it is worth trying. We stayed on the 6th floor, the elevator only went to the 5th floor, and we had to go up another staircase. The hotel didn't have a concierge to help with the luggage. This is not very friendly.

London Travel Guide

Getting Around London

Are you ready to explore London now? Let's talk about how to get there and get around. Whether you're flying, taking a train, or arriving by bus, getting to London is straightforward.

If you're flying, London has several major airports:

London Heathrow Airport (LHR): As London's largest airport and one of the busiest in the world, Heathrow is located about 23 kilometres west of the city centre. It handles a vast number of international flights.

London Gatwick Airport (LGW): Situated about 45 kilometres south of central London, Gatwick is the second-largest airport, serving both international and domestic flights.

London Stansted Airport (STN): Located approximately 64 kilometres northeast of London, Stansted primarily serves European and Mediterranean destinations.

London Luton Airport (LTN): About 55 kilometres north of the city centre, Luton handles European and some international flights.

London City Airport (LCY): Positioned in East London near the financial district, this airport mainly caters to business travellers and short-haul flights.

Want to start your journey with ease? Why not book a hotel nearby that offers a shuttle service? It’s a real lifesaver, especially when you’re exhausted after a long journey or a late night flight. With the stress taken out of your arrival, you'll have more time and energy to dive into all the fantastic things London has to offer.

Once you're in the city, getting around is a breeze. The Tube is one of the top ways to travel—it's quick, budget-friendly, and takes you just about anywhere you need to go. Taxis and buses are also easy to find, though you might hit a bit of traffic now and then.

The Tube: London's Underground, or "The Tube," is one of the fastest ways to get around. Fares depend on the zones you travel through, with a single journey in central London (Zone 1) costing around £2.80 if you use an Oyster card or contactless payment. It's a quick and iconic way to navigate the city, but it can get crowded during rush hours.

Buses: London's iconic red buses are a great way to get around the city. A single fare is £1.75, and you can hop on and off as many buses as you like within an hour for the same price. Buses offer a more scenic route compared to the Tube, but they can be slower due to traffic.

Taxis: Black cabs are a classic London experience. The starting fare is about £3.80, and they can be hailed on the street or found at taxi ranks. Alternatively, ride-sharing apps like Uber are widely used and can be more budget-friendly.

Cycling: Santander Cycles, also known as "Boris Bikes," are available for hire across the city. It's a fun and active way to explore, especially in good weather.

River Services: Travelling by boat on the Thames offers a unique perspective of the city. It's a bit more leisurely but provides stunning views of landmarks.

Remember to check the Transport for London (TfL) website or app for real-time updates and to plan your journey efficiently.

Very Good
LLarisaDespite the fact that it was -1 floor, it did not affect my living and self-awareness. There was a busy Cromwell Road nearby, but the noise did not penetrate the apartments. Everything was renovated, with new kitchen equipment, silent air conditioners. Professional and friendly employees work at the reception, you can check in around the clock. The maids regularly clean up the garbage and fulfill requests. Of the minuses ... you can only indicate a relatively high cost, but ... this was determined for the most part by the area ...

GGuest UserHotel was good and in a very good location , we booked a double room but it was ridiculously small , there was a double bed but to get in and out of it u had to climb over each other , the bathroom was also tiny with a very cramped shower. It is the smallest bedroom I’ve ever had as a double , it would be a small single . Beware when booking a double that the room will be minute - I checked with the management to be told all doubles were the same size. I wouldn’t stay there again

GGuest UserWe stayed 4nights. After we arrived, we found that it was a self service Studio , and studio had a guest team to serve the guests via email/ tel. The bath room was small and hotel provided us the floor sweeper , I know it may help, but it is just not presentable as a hotel. :) There were some issue on the shower head and the toilet flush on the first day and the last day of our stay, we asked the team to fix the issues and we finally satisfied our stay.
