Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Ping'An Zhuang Village, Longsheng

Our arrival to the village was a bit difficult and we might have been a tad grumpy after having to climb up 20minutes vertically from the bus stop to the hotel with our 2 heavy suitcases, but immediately upon arrival our mood took a 360 shift. The owner was super friendly and told us that he even tried to reach us to pick us up by car but couldn’t due to our international number. We then got a room upgrade and he showed us where we can head out to see the first sights. We originally planned to stay only 1 night, but ended up loving our stay so much that we stayed an extra evening. We had a very nice European breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful view and made friends with the local cat. All the hikes and cultural experiences around were amazing, we especially liked the Dazhai-Ping’an hike, with so many amazing sights and views along the road. Was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days in our 3 week trip in south China. At the end of our stay the owner drove us down to the bus. We would absolutely love to come back and spend a full week here in any other season.

Mama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING.  We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty!  They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月! Highly recommend booking with them! ☺️👌🏼

Our experience at Baike Hotel was simply great! The hotel is very very very beautiful, clean, and furnished in the local style. The view from the terrace and from our room was amazing, and very peaceful. The food was also delicious! Plus, Jason and his wife have been extremely friendly and helpful in answering to our questions, helping us and in giving us suggestions on how to tour around the area. Upon our request, Jason also helped us arrange a transfer from the Airport in Guilin to the hotel, a transfer from Ping’An to Dazhai (to do the 15km hike back), and a transfer from the hotel to our next hotel in Yangshuo. I speak some Chinese, but a plus for those foreign tourists who do not speak any Chinese is that Jason speaks a great English, so no need to worry about language barriers at all! Overall, we 100% recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful and unforgettable experience, and should we ever come back to Ping’An, we would definitely come here again!! 🤗💯💯💯

Great hotel by the rice fields. Very easy to reach by the sightseeing bus. Easily walkable to through multiple paths in the rice fields. Lovely authentic room design and very helpful hosts. We also had our dinner here and the food was great. Try specialities cooked in bamboo and ask for the chili flakes hot sauce.

Very satisfied, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, the location is excellent, plus the parking lot pick-up service, you can check in directly without any effort, especially suitable for bringing children. There is a staircase next to the homestay, which is very convenient to Jiulong Wuhu, Zhaizi Center, Qixing Banyue and other places. The proprietress is hospitable and thoughtful. The Longji rice wine given is delicious, and the farm dishes, bamboo tube rice and bamboo tube chicken ordered are delicious.

This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal.

The views from the guesthouse are incredible, and you can enjoy the sunrise from their private rooftop without any crowds. We also had our meals right there. The owner will pick you up at the village entrance once you arrive by shuttle bus. I highly recommend staying in Ping'an Village; you get both stunning night views and beautiful sunrises, and the hike up isn't too strenuous. The homes in this village are quite concentrated, unlike Dazhai where they are more spread out. The local Zhuang people are incredibly warm and welcoming. One evening, while I was wandering around the village, villagers were so concerned I might get lost finding my way back to the guesthouse that I literally had someone offering directions on almost every street! I've also included the shuttle bus schedule for Ping'an Village. You'll need to take this bus first if you're heading to Dazhai or Guilin. Just ask the driver when you board, and they'll help arrange your transfers.

Beautiful place, 5minutes walk away from the Longji rice terrace main viewing platform. But that makes it kind of hard to access if you don’t have a car - but so as the touristic area as a whole. The room was as on the pictures with a beautiful balcony and view on the mountains and the sunrise. The bed was confortable and the room spacious. The staff didn’t speak English but was willing to help as much as they can, they for instance booked a taxi back to Guilin for us (count 2h30 to be safe). They wouldn’t do the foreigners registration for us. They offer dinner options that were really good as well as a tasty noodle soup for breakfast.

The owner of this guesthouse is very important; they are the kind of person who will make you feel right at home, with genuine warmth and thoughtful care. Nestled in the village, the guesthouse enjoys a tranquil atmosphere. The gentle night rain, lanterns hanging high, distant wooden houses scattered amidst the misty clouds, and the occasional chatter of passersby on the street create a truly aesthetically pleasing scene. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, and the guesthouse offers sightseeing suggestions and provides pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot.

The surroundings here are incredibly peaceful, and the air is wonderfully fresh. The hotel's design blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape, exuding a strong natural charm. The service team was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and pleasant check-in experience. The in-room toiletries were of excellent quality, a small detail that truly showcased their attentiveness. Whether you're here for relaxation or a photography enthusiast, you'll find this place an ideal retreat. The pricing was reasonable, making for a thoroughly satisfying stay.
