Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Jinkeng Yao Village, Longsheng

I stayed 3 nights, ate every dinner there and would absolutely come again! I was super lucky to get an upgrade on arrival (see photo of the view from my balcony 7am in the morning) I‘d read that staying 3 nights was too long, but for me it was perfect. I did the dazhai to ping‘an hike one day and took the gondola up the next day. On my last morning they even drove me down to the parking lot to get on the right bus. Super sweet! Only minor issue: my room was a non-smoker room and it really did not smell of smoke at all unless I tried to use the aircon. Somehow the air coming out of the aircon smelled of smoke. For me that wasn‘t a huge issue as I decided not to use the aircon & was fine.

The owner was incredibly kind. They helped pick us up and take us to the guesthouse, and even arranged transportation for us to and from the scenic area since we didn't have a car – a huge thank you! We were on a tight schedule, and to help us make the most of our time, the owner drove us to Observation Deck No. 2, so we could head straight back for dinner and check-in. The food was also delicious; I still miss those flavors! You can really tell the owner's taste from the decor and layout of the place. Every plant and flower was meticulously cared for, which is truly impressive. The guesthouse's decor is fantastic, very clean and hygienic. Both the common areas downstairs and the rooms are thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. There's even a bathtub, which I highly recommend. And the washer and dryer were lifesavers when we had to go out in the heavy rain! The breakfast was overly generous, and the cheese pudding and noodles/rice vermicelli were so good. My only regret is that we were in a hurry and couldn't finish everything – it was truly delicious! This is definitely a guesthouse we all agree we'd book again next time we visit!

Our trip to Longji Terraces was truly heartwarming! The guesthouse was clean and comfortable, with amazing views. The owner was incredibly kind and enthusiastic; after we got lost in the mountains, he not only drove to pick us up but also helped us find a ride and escorted us all the way back to the guesthouse. To top it all off, he even upgraded us to a mountain view room for free! We could just lie in bed and enjoy the beautiful terraced landscapes. The experience was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend!

I chose this place mainly because I wanted easy access to the rice terraces, and it honestly worked out really well. Getting there didn’t feel like a hassle at all—it was close enough that I didn’t have to wake up too early or worry about complicated transportation. It made the whole trip feel more relaxed. What I liked most was being able to just plan my visit without stressing about travel time. I could head out when I felt like it and still have plenty of time to enjoy the views. It also made it easier to go back and rest after exploring, which I really appreciated after walking around the terraces. If you’re visiting mainly for the rice terraces, this location just makes things simpler. It’s not about luxury or anything over the top—it’s just practical and convenient, which honestly made a big difference in my overall experience.

This hotel is at a an absolutely stunning spot! Our room on the 5th floor offered a splendid view over the Longji rice terraces (Dazhai, Tianthouzhai), very close to scenic spot No. 1). If you like to hike, it‘s also a good location. We walked down on a beautiful path to Dazhai and from there up to the Golden Buddha Peak, which is at the upper station of the cable car. For going down to the Dazhai Parking Lot we took this cable car, a 20 minutes ride (55 RMB one way, April 2026). To get back to the hotel you can take the tourist scenic bus and walk the last 5 minutes up to the hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel! It is perfectly clean and we very much liked the washing machine in our room. The staff is very friendly. A small regret: We would have appreciated if there would have been more effort to communicate pro-actively, for example by using a translation app. Some advice to the different hiking paths and/or a map would have been helpful. But some Information can also be found on the internet.

Had a wonderful stay here! The owner was incredibly sincere and even offered personal pick-up and drop-off services. They were also very enthusiastic in providing travel tips and helping us plan our itinerary. A pleasant surprise was the fantastic room location; we could see the breathtaking terraced fields right from our balcony, and we were even lucky enough to catch the sunrise there. I must also mention that the owner's cooking was absolutely delicious! This time, I got to see the 'mirror' terraced fields, and I'm already looking forward to seeing the golden rice paddies here in autumn.

Excellent location , in the Dazhai village center, easy 7 minute walk to the Dazhai parking lot for the cable car and the local buses to Ping'an and long hair show village (forgot the name). You can also walk to three observation platforms from the foothill to hilltop. Room: spacious, clean, with all the amenities as described. Hosts: a young couple with kids and mother, nice, welcoming people. Although they do not speak English, you can easily communicate via WeChat. They helped me with booking a bus to Guilin. The hotel is recommended for nice views and local village experience. I would like to have a menu, as well as a sketch map of the area with observation platforms, villages, hiking routes in English. Information on local events and local but routes/ schedules would also be helpful for non-Chinese tourists.

The room is facing the terraces. The overall decoration style is warm and bright, and the texture is high-end. I highly recommend it if I like to take pictures, because it is really a film. The housekeeper said that this is a room for designers to design and decorate. The housekeeper told us what time the terraced scenery is most suitable for taking pictures and the mirror effect. When I was eating, I also tasted Longji special rice wine, which was really intimate.

The hotel's decor is truly unique and incredibly photogenic, perfect for taking stunning pictures. As a classic stilt house of the Hong Yao ethnic group, we were immediately struck by its charm upon entering. The ambiance is exceptional, arguably the best in the area, and it's conveniently located close to both viewing platforms. The spacious interiors, filled with an antique charm, were an absolute bonus, deserving all the praise! 👍 The hotel is family-run, and the owners are incredibly warm and friendly. They are quick to assist with any issues. We even received a 50% discount when visiting Jinfoding just by mentioning the hotel's name! The owner also helped arrange our return trip to Guilin station flawlessly. The owner's home-cooked dishes were incredibly delicious – we were completely satisfied with every meal. For breakfast, they even invited us to try their wonderfully fragrant local specialty, 'Youcha' (oil tea). The most remarkable part was their dog! When we left at 5 AM to catch the sunrise, their dog faithfully followed us. Initially, we were a bit wary, thinking it might be aggressive, but then we realized it was actually leading us all the way to the viewing platform. That dog definitely deserves an extra treat! 🦴 While five stars is the maximum rating, it doesn't fully capture how exceptional this hotel is. I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.

Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!
