Myself and a friend stayed for two nights in Room 345 (twin beds) in February 2024 (Winter). Our hotel deal included breakfast. Pros: -Clean premises. -Quick check-in at Reception, with English-speaking staff. -Lobby-reception has small shop selling snacks, postcards and Finnish-Lapland souvenirs. Reception sells tickets for Luosto Ski Resort. Free foldable map of Luosto village & its amenities available. -One lift to all floors. -Room 345 ‘superior twin room’ (first floor). Keycard entry. Open hanging area with hangars. Shoe drying rack. Cupboard with shelves, hairdryer, mirror. Luggage stand. Bench & table. Kettle, coffee & tea. Fridge. Wall-mounted LG TV. Sofa bed. Two single beds with bedside table & lights. Good soundproofing. Balcony with bench and view of front car park and main road below. En suite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, sink, towels, shaver socket, mirror. -Suites with sauna and log cabins also available. -‘Tunturi’ restaurant (ground floor) - plentiful seating. Breakfast 7-10am - buffet self-service: hot foods, juice machine, coffee jug, cereals, breads, porridge, yoghurt, pastries. Toasters. Waffle maker. Gluten-free options. High-chairs available. Cloakroom for jackets & bags. -‘Rumpu’ bistro/bar (ground floor, by main entrance). -‘Parvi’ restaurant (above ground floor). -‘Karhu’ bar-nightclub (below ground floor). -Large indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi section, plus separate enclosed jacuzzi. Swimming floats/armbands available. Sauna. Steam room. Changing rooms. Take room towel and exchange room key for locker key at Reception. -Gym (below ground floor) with cardio and weights equipment. -Spa and wellness (ground floor). -Games room with pool table (ground floor). -Reading room (first floor). -Free WiFi throughout hotel. -Free, large car park. Charging point for e-cars. -Complimentary sledges. -Checkout 12pm. -Luggage storage available behind Reception desk. Useful as our bus back to Rovaniemi wasn’t until early evening. Cons: -Room - no safe. -Room - luggage storage cupboard handle snapped off. -Room - TV too small for size of room. -Room - shower door handle snapped off. -Room - balcony door handle loose. -Swimming pool - there should be an adults only hour each day, as pool frequently busy with families. -‘Karhu’ bar-nightclub - evening entertainment (karaoke, live bands) costs extra, €3pp upwards. Notes: -‘K Luoston Kauppa’ convenience store sells alcohol (behind Restaurant Vaisko) and a Gift shop are both opposite hotel across the 962 main road. -Hotel is within walking distance of amethyst shop, Ahvenlampi lake (walking, sledging, marshmallow toasting hut) and Luosto Ski Resort. -Local restaurants are all within walking distance of hotel. I ate evening meals at ‘Rumpu’ (hotel) and ‘Puna Kettu’. -I also went snowshoeing and visited the Kopara Reindeer Park.

Firstly we stayed here with tui on recommendation of the tui sales rep having been to levi in lapland before in levi we wanted to share the experience with family friends. we had high expectations witch this holiday didn’t live up to. the hotel was very basic and having selected that there was 5 people sleeping and having booked a cabin. we were put into a room with 2 single beds and a sofa bed. food was very basic in the inclusive breakfast although the pizzas at dinner was nice the rest was bland. tui really messed up with this location with their tour operators, we paid to do excursions that was sub par and felt rushed. i understand this country isn’t a english native speaking country but the santa we were taken to spoke very little english and my kids said they could see his natural black beard under his santa beard. having been to levi last time the santa experience was magical in a forrest with elf school and mrs claus cabin. this santa experience in lusto was in a small welfare cabin with a santa that looked drafted in to fill a space. would not recommend coming here with tui. santa experience was that bad we paid €400 each way for a taxi to santas village ( that we were told at the booking was near) that was great and saved the Christmas spirit for the kids my problem was really with the holiday experience and not the hotel, hotel staff was very helpful but stated that the hotel owns shops and restaurants near so either way we’d get the same food as in hotel restaurant. ski slope near is a lot of fun for kids at €10 per child for the full day. will be going to lapland again but i’m afraid it won’t be in lusto.

Lovely hotel, amazing location. Perhaps a bit dated in standard rooms. We came with Canterbury on a new years package- for my 50th birthday. The rooms were clean and roomy but a bit old fashioned. Our package was half board and the food was great. Breakfast had meats cheeses bread, cereal , fruit , cakes, porridge, and cooked items eggs, bacon etc. dinner was salad soup variety of cooked options, puddings and cheese and biscuits. Despite the freezing conditions temperatures in the hotel were lovely and warm.

Firstly I would like to say how worried I was once I had booked this trip and read the reviews for the hotel. Please be assured you have absolutely nothing to worry about! We travelled as a group of 7 (4 adults aged 33 and 3 kids aged 4, 5 & 8) and we had the most MAGICAL time. We booked through an agent with TUI and the whole experience was streamlined and planned out perfectly for each day. The itinerary was amazing and the free time allocated was perfect. We didn’t stay in the log cabins, we stayed at the hotel - clean, great location and within character for the trip. At the end of the day it’s a base for adventures! Comfy beds, good shower power and fresh towels and beds made every day. The food wasn’t a huge variety in the evenings, but each dish was cooked lovely! For tea time - We had reindeer stew, salmon bernaise, roasted beef in red wine, garlic dauphinoise, vegetable curry, beetroot falafel, a huge selection of salad dishes and pasta, chips, sausages, meatballs and always fresh warm bread on offer with real butter. If you’re a beige eater, chip butties all the way! (They could stretch to doing some chicken nuggets for the kids, but that’s my only criticism.) The desserts were fab! Something for everyone including profiteroles, cake, biscuits, fruit, and plenty of water, tea and coffee free with each meal, help yourself. Table service for bar drinks and really quick service. Breakfast - amazing choice including gluten free and plenty for vegetarians. Always a huge pot of porridge on… so creamy and delicious! All the normal “fry up” options but also plenty of cereal, salads, meats, warm salmon and warm croissants. Four toasters and lots of toppings, again only criticism was there was no HP sauce for the bacon! Also lots of lovely juices, green shots and smoothie style drinks, as well as the usual ice water and tea and coffee. We drank the tap water and didn’t have an upset stomach at all. There’s a kettle in the hotel room so for lunch time snacks, pasta pots or porridge pots are perfect to pop in your suitcase. Hotel location - we hit the jackpot the night of arrival and came outside to the northern lights on full display. AMAZING!! We also got to see them on the second morning at the taster sessions. Surrounding area is perfect for sledging and there were plenty of sledges outside the hotel free for everyone to use. Hotel was at max capacity when we stayed and there were always sledges on offer. Wherever you’re wandering, chucks the kids on a sledge, very easy to just pull them around. Theres a huge frozen lake just 200 metres to the left of the hotel, with a huge fire pit for toasting marshmallows (be sure to pack sticks and marshmallows in your case). Took us about 1.5 hours to walk it but we strolled and sledged and really took it at slow pace. There’s an amethyst gift shop, a small supermarket, gift shop, and restaurants across the road surrounding the hotel. Also a gift shop in the hotel foyer with lots of baubles, g

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Luosto Luostotunturi. We were 2 familes, kids aged between 11-6. We booked with TUI and it was such a magical experience. Tui went above and beyond, they were always there if you had questions, even at the airport through check in they seen you through. I haven't seen this in about 20 years when you use to see holiday reps at airports. The coach drive from the airport to the hotel was beautiful, the roads are just lined with trees, covered in snow and it was breathtaking. From the moment you step off that plane its like you are in a fairy tale. The surroundings around the hotel was just unbelievable. My daughters have never experienced snow like it and it also looked like it wasn't real and it just sparkled like a diamond! We would go tobogganing all day around the hotel, go for walks, toast marshmallows and we went the the ski slope a few times which has a really good cafe and safe are friendly. The kids did ski-ing, tobogganing and snow rings there. It was 10euro per child and a adult gets in free and this got you a day pass to use the rings, tobogganing. We visited the real Santa and got to go on a husky ride, reindeer ride and snow mobile, all of it was magical, the kids loved it. It was about 2 hours you spent there and we managed to go on everything. We had a room on the bottom floor so we had a terrace which opened straight onto the snow and forest. the kids would go out there playing, definitely recommend having a bottom floor. Breakfast gets busy and is hectic but everyone gets up early to make the most of the days. The food in the hotel restaurant was really good and reasonably priced. We went swimming which was nice. You can walk all along the path to the frozen lake which is the best place to see the northern lights on a clear night. We really really really didn't want to leave Lapland and i would recommend this hotel, we didn't want to stay in a busy part with loads of shops, bars, nightlife etc and this was perfect. We wanted something more rural and not built up and this was it. It has a few shops, restaurants etc a couple of mins walk away. Its a magical place and we will be returning one day to this hotel, as this was the best holiday we have ever been on. You will not regret booking here!

Nothing special, perfectly decent. Could use a bit of an update. Heating in room was struggling with only -3 C outside, 18 C is a bit too cold for comfort. The spa side seems an unnecessary relic that just requires a lot of extra heating.

We stayed on hotel for two nights at our familys Lapland-Karelia summertour, and we loved it! We had fantastic dinner at the hotels restaurant both days. We ate pizzas at our first day, and burgers at second day, and we can give full five stars for each one of them. Staff is professional and friendly at the restaurant and at reception. Breakfast was also wery good and tasty, with multiple options to choose from.
